You’ve got to get a mantra, not another cliche. And here’s mine: Never quit except to quit on the right things. Paul says it right from the top: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. There are things you have to quit - find the right ones. Other than those - do not quit. Forgiveness was bought by Jesus’s endurance. Jesus was in the garden and He begged God to give Him strength. We get weary, we lose heart. This is not human power, this is Holy spirit power. Jesus came back to the right hand of God, where He was in the beginning and He’s saying: Don’t quit. God didn’t quit on you.
