For you, the impromptu little concerts were always your favorite to perform in. While the thrill of singing to a gigantic, sold out crowd was irreplaceable, there was just something special about an intimate little venue.

You always made this well aware to your publicist, and she did her best to squeeze in these little performances whenever she could. That’s how you found yourself at Joe’s Pub at the Public.

Halfway through your set, to a crowded bar of no more than one hundred people, you took a seat on the provided stool.

“It’s very hard to be here in the room where it happens-” This was met with a thunderous applause.

The Public Theater, in its natural state, was known as the birthplace of Hamilton. You were made painfully aware of this when this venue was booked. Being a heavily closeted Hamilton fan, you were certainly tempted to just recreate the damn show and make everyone watch.

“It’s hard to be in the room where it happens without taking on the beast that is Hamilton: An American Musical.”

Any phones that weren’t out before certainly came out then. All ready to record and capture the moment as it was taking place. You took a deep breath, realizing just who might see this the second you’re off stage.

You limited yourself to a few songs - namely The Room Where It Happens, Satisfied, and Dear Theodosia. As you took your final bows and made your way backstage, a phone was immediately shoved into your hand.

“Yes, Laura?” You chuckled, knowing it was your publicist without having to check the caller ID.

“Mr. Miranda has extended an invitation for you to attend his show at your earliest possible convenience.”

You stopped dead in your tracks. Holy shit. News travelled fast.

“Looking at your schedule, I could push a couple things around if you’d like to see it tomorrow night. You’d have to miss-” She droned on for a bit, all of her information falling on deaf ears.

He wanted you to see his show.

“Y/N?” A call of your name broke you from your trance.

“Make it happen.” You said simply, handing the phone off to the person who gave it to you.

Out of my way!” Jonathan cried, weaving through the narrow halls of the Richard Rodgers theater. God, he hoped Lin hadn’t left yet.

He was halfway out the door when his phone insistently started buzzing. One of his dear friends happened to score tickets to Y/N’s show - something he had to miss because he was performing that night. That friend had been texting him all throughout it, boasting and altogether showing off.

Jonathan had elected to ignore it, but this particular stream of texts caught his eye.- one word, specifically. Hamilton.

He hastily opened the video, an upbeat Y/N tearing Satisfied to shreds. He pivoted, sprinting back into the theater.

“Lin!” He cried, seeing his dressing room door at the end of the hallway. The door swung open just as he approached, a tired Lin with his backpack slung over his shoulder greeted him.

“What do I owe the plea-” He was immediately cut off with a phone being shoved in his face.

“I’m a girl in a world in which my only job is to marry rich. My father has no son so I’m the one who has to social climb for one.”

Lin shut down, eyes transfixed on the tiny screen in front of him.

“She-She knows who I am?” He chanced a look at Groff, who nodded in return, “What do I do?”

“Invite her to the show and maybe all your creepy dreams will come true?”

Lin did just that. Within minutes, he had the e-mail of her publicist, and was frantically typing away at an e-mail he hoped would be charming and witty and not at all creepy.

It was another fifteen minutes of tense silence, refreshing his email every few second before he received a reply.

Y/N has received the invitation with excitement and has opened up her schedule to attend tomorrow night’s performance.

Lin was nearly on the floor with this announcement. For the first time in awhile he felt the same excitement he did when he would perform in high school - nervous, unsure, scared shitless.

As he stood backstage for his first entrance, he became severely aware that you were out there. Two rows back, center of the house, taunting him.

He had never changed out of his costume so fast, practically tearing his costume in half on his way to his dressing room.

“Settle down, man. You’re the least chill person I have ever met!” Daveed called as Lin passed. He was met with a tense glare, which he jokingly recoiled at. “Alright, I’ll just go out there and butter her up. We both know all the ladies-”

Lin’s door slammed, cutting Daveed off with a bang.

He hesitated to go out, until it was nearly thirty minutes after he had retreated backstage. He had been a fan for a long time, he had admired you for as long as he could remember. He could go out there and completely make a fool of himself.

He’d have to move away, create a new name and identity for himself. He’d never be able to show his face in public again.

He shook the thought away as he finally tiptoed his way back to the stage, lingering stage left as he peeked out to see who was left.

He watched you happily chatting away with Jonathan,laughing at something he showed you on his phone.

Stupid Jonathan and his stupid ability to be charming with literally anyone he came into contact with.

Lin took a cautious step forward, immediately gaining your attention. He stood sheepishly under the dimmed stage lights, still keeping his distance.

“Hi.” He waved, before stuffing his hands into his pockets to keep them from doing anything weird. He watched you for a moment as you said nothing back to his uncomfortable greeting. Jonathan looked back and forth between the two of you, a smirk growing on his face.

I’m in love with you.” You blurted out before you could stop yourself.

Lin’s head tilted and Jonathan burst into laughter as what you said dawned on you.

“I mean- I love your work, not that I don’t admire you! You seem like a really great guy! But how could I know that I just met you?” You nervously chuckled, kicking yourself for not bringing your publicist with you - who specialized in getting you out of these types of situations.

“If it’s any consolation-” Lin finally stepped forward, now only a couple of feet away from you, “-I’m totally in love with you, too.”

Jonathan took this as his queue to exit, happily skipping away - no doubt ready to tell anyone he came into contact with about this encounter.

“Cool.” You grinned, at ease that he was just as easy going as you could have wished.

“Cool.” He confirmed, an easy smile gracing his lips as more of the cast piled on stage, each greeting you in kind.

None of them held a candle to Lin’s greeting, though.

Description: Who ever said you were one to back down from a challenge?

You couldn’t believe, Moon Jongup had dragged you to one of his meetups with another dangerous mafia leader. You sat in Jongup’s lap, the fearful expression you held had long ago disappeared once you grew disgusted with the way the men around you were acting out towards you. Your face remained expressionless as you sat in Jongup’s lap. His right arm wrapped around you until his hand was resting on your hip bone and he pulled you closer to his warm body as the older man across from him looked you up and down.

“Surely there is a meaning behind your actions Jongup, is she payment for something?” You glared at the man as the words left his lips with a quirked brow and Jongup sat forward so your back was pressed against his chest and the grip he had on your waist was suffocatingly tight.

“I brought her along so you can tell your men who they will never be laying a hand on. Y/N will soon be my wife and if I see one of your men in the same room as her I will have one of my men see to it that he doesn’t leave that exact building alive. Besides, I owe you nothing Kang” You looked back at Jongup as Kang’s eyes travelled to the expensive ring wrapped around your finger.

“Very well then, I’ll make sure my men are made aware of that” Kang gave a single nod and a smirk grew on Jongup’s lips.

“Great, now where is that information you had for me?” Jongup asked, reaching around you as two files were placed in his hand. He took the papers out of the envelope and you looked at the words and identification pictures on the pages in front of you.

“You can ask all the questions you want later” Jongup muttered in your ear before shoving the papers away and casting Kang a sinister smile.

“I’ll be taking my leave first now that our business is done here” You were forced to your feet, Jongup turned you away from Kang and his men. You were stunned to see five blank faced men standing by the double doors the two of you had entered, your eyes immediately landed on the guns in their hands. A gulp was forced down your throat as Jongup took your hand in his and forced you to walk.

“Let’s go Y/N” You could have sworn you heard gunshots sounding in the background as he forced you into his car again, immediately telling his driver to leave.

Moon Jongup, you should’ve known better than to have dragged me into your world.

You couldn’t believe it, you were standing at the altar, hardly even listening to the priest speak as Jongup held your hands with his own. Your dress pooled around your feet and the suit Jongup wore was far fancier than anything you had ever seen.

This was a wedding for the rich, not for you.

You couldn’t stop your thoughts from biting at you and you couldn’t shake your fear as you looked Jongup in the eyes, a small smile was given to you and the grip on your hands tightened.

“You may now kiss the bride” Your eyes widened as the magic words left the priest’s mouth and your eyes quivered as Jongup leant forward without hesitation.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment” Everyone in the room heard it, people cooed and awed at his words.

How stupid they were to think this was real love. Half the people in this place are his allies.

You found your eyes closing and Jongup brought it upon himself to hold you as close as your bodies allowed him to and when he finally pulled away you were left gasping for air and your sanity.

“Jongup” You muttered, you didn’t know why you said his name but he ignored it. Instead, he smiled and walked you back down the aisle as everyone stood and clapped for the two of you.

“Jongup, why have you been waiting for this moment?” You finally asked. You broke the silence between the two of you and Jongup turned to look at you. It was hard not to stare at his body, the only thing covering him were his boxers that didn’t really leave much to your imagination.

That familiar smirk met your eyes and you could only push your head further into your pillow as your hands reached out to stop Jongup. But it was still too late his body was trapping you to the bed. Your hands remained on his chest, rising and falling with his breathing as the smirk you had grown to see as evil never left his lips, his eyes bored into yours with a certain darkness.

“Because Y/N, now you really are mine. Your parents put you right into my hands without any struggles, that’s why I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time” You flickered over the wicked expression he held and you grew confused.

“How long ago did you decide you wanted to marry?” You asked and Jongup only let his body lower, skin touching yours creating the feeling of fire touching you

“I’ve known about you for a long time Y/N. You probably don’t remember,r but my father paid regular visits to your father when you were a child. You were only five at the time and I was eight years old, from the moment I saw you sitting beside your parents, I knew no matter what I would find a way to make you mine. Your father owes his life to my mafia, so it was the perfect chance for me to take what I wanted, and now I have you”

You were angry, this guy just admitted to being obsessed with you for far too long, and he used your father’s debt as a way to get you. You were furious as Jongup’s nose brushed against yours, his hot breath fanning over your lips.

“And now I got my grand prize” What does he take me as? His wife or a trophy?

You could have gone on a rampage you were so angry.

So how did you find yourself kissing him back?

Your hands that were frozen at your side before trailed across his hot skin, pulling him down until he was pressing his weight on you, Jongup breathed in and out in ecstasy before smashing his lips back on yours with a muffled groan. Your hands feathered over every inch of his skin revealed above the belt, with your nails digging into his inked arms before trailing up to wound your fingers in his hair.

“I should be hating you for playing my father like this, Jongup” Your words left you in heavy breaths as you looked at the man only millimetres from you.

“You can try with all your strength to hate me Y/N, but I’m not gonna make it easy” He growled against your lips, he was almost aggressive in words and you stared at him with determination. You were never one to turn down a good challenge.

“I can give it my best”

“Everything comes with a price Y/N”

hello, i was wondering if you knew how to shorten larger numbers using javascript. for example, i want to display a note count that is 1203 as 1.2k. i know it's possible, i just don't know how to do it. :(

how much do you love me

    var $container = $('.content');
       var n = $(this).html().split(' ')[0].replace(/,/g, '');
       if (n > 999) {
           n = Math.floor(n / 100) / 10;
           $(this).text(n + 'k notes');

after you include this in your scripts, you need to check three things

  1. add the class “notecount” to your note count links
  2. make sure the container class “content” above matches the container element in your particular theme
  3. include it in your infinite scroll function if you’re using one
