This is my progress over 12 weeks. I’ve lost about ten kilos, 23 lbs (so far!).  When I started this journey 12 weeks ago, I thought I’d be done by now. Right now I don’t even know what I mean with “done”. You’re never done with eating and working out. I changed my life and I feel so much better.

Yesterday I went running with my friend. At the end I had more to give and he didn’t. I out ran a guy that I think is in very good shape, and it’s just little things that keeps the motivation up and me going. I will never stop being this new, healthier, sexier me. Ever.

Shit they don't tell you about being pregnant
  1. Your boobs will itch with the power of one thousand mosquitoes
  2. Your vagina will hurt. Sharply and suddenly. You’ll be sitting there, and BAM, your lady lotus is getting stabbed by invisible forks.
  3. No matter how much you poop, you never get the good empty feeling you used to get after taking the Browns to the Superbowl.
  4. Your skin will feel different. It’s like a mixture between soft sex toy grade silicone and drywall.
  5. You can’t eat very much. There’s a human in your digestion system’s grill and getting halfway through a Chipotle burrito will feel like you ate an entire turkey by yourself.
  6. You’ll get a fabulous mustache. Prenatals make your hair long and silky and strong, but shaving your legs or waxing your face will be in vain. If Kathy Bates can rock the beard, you can too. Own it girl.
  7. Gotta sneeze? Clench those fabulous booty clappers of yours because you’re gonna fart. Loud. And it’s going to smell bad.    
  8. You’ll pee like a grandfather with a prostate issue. A little comes out at a time, and you have to schedule your peeing trips because it’s gonna take a while. Like I said, there’s a human all up in your shit pushing on everything. 

12 weeks young today and the size of a lime

I already see and feel my body changing and preparing for this little youngster. I’m excited and terrified all at once! It’s crazy!!!! We are thrilled beyond words. 😂 The first trimester has been a dream! This little human likes everything - food, hikes, beach, yoga, motorcycle rides, peoples’ voices, jogs, camping, dancing, bumpies, surfing, coffee, painting, working, sleeping, belly rubs, etc. It’s a happy human.
