Yes! I have combination skin so I know a little about this.
On the drugstore end, I like Maybelline’s FIT Me! in Matte + Poreless for Normal to Oily Skin. I prefer this one because not only does it consider your skin type, but also what kind of finish you want. I also want to give a shoutout to Maybelline for having such a wide spectrum in this line because I’m white as paper and most foundations look too yellow/warm on me. I’m in 110 Porcelain (I swear every company’s lightest shade is called Porcelain).
Another drugstore option is L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte. It has practically the same effect. It doesn’t have as much instant coverage, which is a good thing if you prefer buildable foundations. I used to use this one but 1) my skin got too pale for their lightest shade and 2) FIT Me! is cheaper.
On the high-end, MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation! This is a big investment ($40, I think!) but you would be so blown away by the coverage and longevity. It looks like photoshop on your face. I don’t personally buy high-end foundation, but this stuff was awesome the time I tried it.
for the most part my eye make-up routine is to wash my eyelid with a very soft color and then darken my crease with either a matte brown or a darker shade of whatever light color i’ve put on my lid (i’m super addicted to urban decay’s naked basics palette though)
i always default to a really simple cat eye eyeliner look and i use a liquid liner because i feel like it lasts a lot longer and doesn’t get all smudgy like pencil does
i do however use a pencil eyeliner to tightline my upper waterline to add fullness to my lashes
i use ardell brand falsies and whether it’s demi or full or whatever kind depends on the look i’m trying to achieve
