Do you have any foundation recs for oily skin?

Yes! I have combination skin so I know a little about this.

On the drugstore end, I like Maybelline’s FIT Me! in Matte + Poreless for Normal to Oily Skin. I prefer this one because not only does it consider your skin type, but also what kind of finish you want. I also want to give a shoutout to Maybelline for having such a wide spectrum in this line because I’m white as paper and most foundations look too yellow/warm on me. I’m in 110 Porcelain (I swear every company’s lightest shade is called Porcelain).

Another drugstore option is L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte. It has practically the same effect. It doesn’t have as much instant coverage, which is a good thing if you prefer buildable foundations. I used to use this one but 1) my skin got too pale for their lightest shade and 2) FIT Me! is cheaper.

On the high-end, MAKE UP FOR EVER Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation! This is a big investment ($40, I think!) but you would be so blown away by the coverage and longevity. It looks like photoshop on your face. I don’t personally buy high-end foundation, but this stuff was awesome the time I tried it.

I hope this helps! ( ◞・౪・)

Um.. Hey, I hope I'm not being too bold, but I love how you look, and was wondering if maybe someday you'd make a make-up tutorial, because you're make-up is always looks so flawless n.n~♥

thank you for thinking so highly of me oh my gosh!!! my make-up routine isn’t actually very fussy at all and i’m constantly watching videos on youtube to try and improve my routine 。・゜・(。´ノω・`)。

  • i start with washing my face with warm water and then moisturizing (i use a chia seed face cream from the face shop)
  • then i usually put in a pair of colored contact lenses (almost always from pinkyparadise)
  • by then my moisturizer has soaked in and i use a pore minimizing primer (right now i’m really loving benefit’s porefessional)
  • to even out my skin tone and protect my skin from the sun i use a drug store cc cream with spf 30
  • for concealer i use soap and glory’s trick and treatment which helps with my panda eyes
  • my foundation routine is pretty standard and i’ve been using the same one for like three years (make up forever’s hd invisible cover in shade 110 pink porcelain)
  • i set everything with translucent powder
  • for the most part my eye make-up routine is to wash my eyelid with a very soft color and then darken my crease with either a matte brown or a darker shade of whatever light color i’ve put on my lid (i’m super addicted to urban decay’s naked basics palette though)
  • i always default to a really simple cat eye eyeliner look and i use a liquid liner because i feel like it lasts a lot longer and doesn’t get all smudgy like pencil does
  • i do however use a pencil eyeliner to tightline my upper waterline to add fullness to my lashes
  • i use ardell brand falsies and whether it’s demi or full or whatever kind depends on the look i’m trying to achieve
  • i don’t really have a favorite mascara at the moment ‘cause i’ve been trying to use up my sample-sized mascaras lately but in my most recent selfie i used make up forever’s sample size of smoky extravagant mascara
  • i fill in my brows with a matte brown eyeshadow and set with brow gel
  • i use a very light bronzer under my cheekbones and a soft, shimmery peach or light pink blush on my cheeks
  • and then a pink tinted lip balm

and done!!! it seems like a lot but it only takes me about ten-fifteen minutes

maybe i’ll do a full tutorial in the future??? but i hope this helps a bit!!!
