This system was built about 8 months ago, idea idea was to build something with performance and budget in mind.

-Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

-AMD 1075T 6 core 3GHz 9MB

-8GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz

-2x Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 1GB in Crossfire

-OCZ Agility 3 60GB (upto 525MB/s read - 500MB/s Write)

-2TB WD Green Drive

-Coolermaster TX3 CPU cooler

-Corsair Obsidian 650D Case

-Thermaltake 800W 80 Plus Bronze PSU

A gamers heaven, all parts purchased under $1500

The 2 6850s pump out a ton of performance, the price for performance is just incredible, I would mark them as similar to (a wee bit better than) a single GTX580, this is possible due to the scalability of ATi crossfire. Another benefit of going with this configuration is that the 6850s are less likely to fail in comparison to the higher end cards, this is because of their low power consumption and thermal dynamics, this pulls together a strong package that is both high performing and reliable.

The 1075T is a nice budget 6 core processor gives heaps of power for both gaming and the occasional data crunching, performance and frame-rates are consistent.

Pretty decent for under $1500
