1 Year ago Lady Gaga self-released her 3rd single from her 3rd Studio album ARTPOP. G.U.Y. peaked at #76 on the Billboard Hot 100 being Gaga’s lowest charting single of her career. It also peaked at #1 on the iTunes charts in 36 countries. The single sold 274,000 copies in its first 5 days and selling 296,000 digital downloads in its first week which became one of Gaga’s lowest selling singles. After the artRAVE began G.U.Y. was long off the Hot 100, the single saw momentum again as it climbed the Hot/Dance Club charts and peaked at #1 and remained #1 for 3 weeks. The single also peaked at #3 Radio Songs and was one of the most played songs on the radio for 4 weeks. As of January 2015 G.U.Y. has sold an estimated 1,500,000 digital downloads. G.U.Y. is Gaga’s 13th song to achieve 1,000,000 sales. The single spawned an artistic music video released March 22nd. The video accumulated 8,400,000 views in 24 hours and currently (as of March 2015) has accumulated 64,000,000+ views on youtube.

CL selected as candidate to TIME Magazine’s ‘100 Most Influential People in The World’!

CL is drawing a big attention, as she is selected as a candidate for Time magazine’s “The Most Influential People in the World” (Time 100).

Nominating CL for the most influential people’s list, Time said, “CL of Korea’s famous girl group 2NE1 is now preparing for her official debut in the States, in collaboration with Scooter Braun who discovered Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepson”.

CL has been selected as the third Korean candidate for “Time 100″, following Rain and PSY.

Total 158 people are nominated for “Time 100″, including Lady GaGa, Beyoncé, Emma Watson, Rihanna, Barack Obama, Sam Smith, Taylor Swift, and others.

Time presents the “Time 100″ list every year, to select 100 most influential people in the world. The vote will be carried out until April 10 and the final “Time 100″ list will be unveiled on the 16 next month.
