Naoto Shirogane getting into serious business (?) ~

Who said I don’t have a… certain feminine side…? A-after all, I did Teddie’s make up on the beauty pageant and uh… forget about that… u//////u

Inspired by Naoto in the P4 Arena / Ultimax <3

y'all but what breaks my heart is that ann, ryuji, and yusuke were still joking around literally minutes before p5mc’s arrest??? everyone was so sure and trusting that he would be to to get out without any problems! bc at the way they were praising him and how cool he is (lol) i’m p sure the p5 cast looks at p5mc same way p4 cast looks at yu; he’s their leader, is a wild card, and can do so many things!! he is so amazing and wait?? what?? he was caught??

now i can’t help but imagine what will happen to the team bc obviously they’re all going to play the blame game with some of them taking sides against each other and just…ultimately falling apart…bc it’s clear they can’t trust each other anymore

Now that almost all the Co-ops are revealed, do you have any guesses as to what the MC's (And by extension Morgana's Arcana) might be as per P3 and P4 tradition?

Guessing Morgana’s Arcana, huh? Well, now that we’ve got less options, that should be a little easier! Let’s play the matching game.

Alright, so the Arcana not taken yet are:

Magician
Priestess
Empress
Emperor
Justice
Strength
Judgment
World

We know World and Judgement are usually reserved for late-game stuff. That leaves us with:

Magician
Priestess
Empress
Emperor
Justice
Strength

Party Members without a defined Arcana yet are:

Yusuke
Makoto
Haru
Morgana
Goro

That’s exactly one less than the Arcana remaining. Since it would be odd if one regular NPC had been left out of introducing CoOps until now for some reason, I’ll take a very wild guess and assume the missing CoOp belongs either to the Velvet Twins or to Sae Niijima. Which gives us:

Yusuke
Makoto
Haru
Morgana
Goro
The Twins
Sae

Firstly, I’ll be as bold as assuming that Priestess and Empress will go to Haru and Makoto, albeit I’m not sure who of them will get which. That gives us this:

Magician:
Priestess: Haru/Makoto
Empress: Haru/Makoto
Emperor:
Justice:
Strength:

Yusuke
Morgana
Goro
The Twins
Sae

Now, Yusuke. Given from all the power and the commanding attitude he displays in the trailers so far, I’ll guess he’s emperor

Goro seems like a Justice Arcana, given his obsession with right and wrong displayed in the streams so far.

Magician:
Priestess: Haru/Makoto
Empress: Haru/Makoto
Emperor: Yusuke
Justice: Goro
Strength

This leaves Strength and Magician… And honestly, Morgana could be either of these. I don’t know enough about Morgana’s arc yet to say for sure, but either might fit.

…For now, I’ll go with Magician. Simply because Morgana’s character seems so full of energy and emotion.

So yeah, my guess for now is “Magician”

Also: can someone with a background in physics please tell us how ungodly ripped Rohan would have to be to haul Koichi like that? The kid was pulling some full horizontal air in that one scene jfc.

I think the one thing I know for sure is that Goro isn't the traitor. It's too obvious (especially because of P4). I'm 100% positive he is meant to be a red herring.

Ahh yeah I’d honestly hate if he was the traitor because it would be the most obvious thing ever!!

It would be much cooler for him to see the evil in the justice system with his own eyes and then become a phantom thief a result of that.

From a story perspective, it’d definitely have the most impact and it would be super epic!!

I'm not sure if it's been shown or anything, but do you think that Ann, Morgana or maybe even Makoto (who has been shown to have Diarama) would learn the Recarm and/or Media line? I could imagine them not putting that into your party member's movesets to make the game harder but I'm not sure what to think since I don't know if Ann or Morgana are the primary healers (Makoto seems to have Diarama just to have it, which is good because the more healers in a potentially hard game, the better)

Given that Morgana has Dia and Patra spells, I guess Morgana is gonna be the primary healer (or at least one of them) and is gonna have Recarm spells. I have no doubt that some party members will learn Recarm either way, the game would be way too difficult without them. I know, Mainline SMT games are a lot harder, but, hey, cut the less hardcore players, like me, some slack, I struggled even with Vanilla P4. :’D

Atlus may have not shown him much in game but

RememberGoro2k16, he was the one who brought us news (the real mvp)

The Student Becomes the Master

I don’t know about anybody else, but there was something greatly cathartic about the former fags of the S4 suddenly revealing themselves before their old mentors. It also adds a new layer of depth and conflict to the unfolding plot of this arc.

The S4′s songs so far have featured a line about ‘forgetting’ unpleasant things and being cleansed or renewed. Now their former proteges are here in front of their eyes, it is clear that Edward and company will not allow them to do any such thing, even if it were possible.

The fact that the S4 clearly recognise the young men is telling. They have never truly forgotten either them or their past sins. The fact that Greenhill and Violet went as far as to invite Edward and Cheslock tells us that those two, of the S4, felt the weight of their sin more keenly.

The S4′s talk of forgetting has clearly failed, and will become increasingly difficult to do from now on. The Funtom Five all have bones to pick with their former mentors, emotions and problems left unresolved in the Weston Arc, emotions and problems the S4 foolishly thought they could leave and bury at Weston and start anew.

With the past coming back to haunt them, the S4 will realise that this was always a pipe dream. Ironically, the S4′s reactions are reminiscent of one who has just seen a ghost - several, in fact.

No longer are the former Weston fags in any way subservient to their former mentors. They willfully and brazenly upstage them in front of a huge crowd, and are not afraid of talking down to them.

I can’t be sure, but it seems either Edward or Cheslock called out here.

Edward (or Cheslock) would never have spoken or behaved this way towards the people he respected when they were fags. It can be presumed that all five have lost much or all of the respect they once held for the S4, holding them instead in contempt and dislike.

The tables have now turned on the S4. They were just getting used to being the apples of everyone’s eye, adored, respected, for their standing and talents, just as they had been at Weston. They had almost managed to carve out their old life in a new setting, forsaking the past as a bad dream.

Not any more.

No less than the people whom they had once freely commanded and semi-raised to be their unquestioning, unthinking heirs are now dragging them down from the lofty paradise they were occupying, the happy delusion, and exposing them for the frauds they are.

The tables have turned, the students are knocking their masters off their thrones, and showing them the reality of just how much has changed, and how much they have fucked up once again.

The Funtom Five will get their closure, good or bad, no matter what. The S4 can hide no longer.

The students have become the masters.

I look forward eagerly to see what the Funtom Five and the S4 does next, and how they handle all of this.
