29. “Are you blushing?”
You growled as you parried off of Anakin’s lightsaber. Your fellow Jedi just smirked in amusement. You two had been sparring for the last half hour and you had yet to successfully go on the offensive. There was a certain reason why too.
“Your skill it quite unique, Y/N,” he complimented you.
You grit your teeth attempting to focus. “Useless too.”
He shook his head, straightening his posture. “No. Just more raw.”
You cocked your head to the side in confusion. Anakin chuckled making your stomach flutter. You closed your eyes a moment to calm down as well as refocus…again.
“Alright. How do I clean it up?” you asked.
Anakin raised his hands, and lightsaber, defensively. “No attacks?”
You nodded. “No attacks.”
Anakin glided over to you, sheathing his own weapon. He walked around behind you. Gently, he placed his hands on your core and back. He was definitely closer than he needed to be.
“Firstly, tighten your core. When you use your core, you’ll have more power in your swing.”
You swallowed. “And?”
Anakin placed his hands on yours. “Loosen your drip on the hilt a bit. Your knuckles don’t have to be white every time.”
“Th-Thank you,” you stuttered.
Anakin glanced down at your bashful face. He couldn’t help but grin at you. Your face was flushed red.
“Are you blushing?”
“What?” you panicked, “No. Y-Your blushing!”
He chuckled, placing a kiss on your cheek. “Right,” he drawled, “Explains your lack of focus.”
You slapped your face with your palm. You hadn’t been as sneaky as you thought.
