Hi! May I request: Something making Robbie turn full zombie and he runs away from said issue. His S/O goes after him and when they find him, Full-Zombie-Rob almost attacks them but recognizes them before he goes too far. Also with a fluffy ending if possible? Thank you and sorry if it's too much!! - Nini
Oh certainly! It’s not too much so don’t worry. I love writing for my zombie boi ^^ Hope you like this~
I’ll also tag @robthezombie-support-squad in case they wanna read this, too.
What was suppose to be a fun night of Trick-or-Treating soon became a hunt for your zombie boyfriend.
You see, you wanted to take Robbie out and around your neighborhood to get some delicious candy. He never told you whether he actually took part in the Halloween tradition in his past life, but, regardless, he seemed pretty excited.
But occasionally, he would stop and stare at fellow Trick-or-Treaters who were dressed up as zombies. Despite you constantly reassuring him that they were just people in costumes…he still seemed wary of them.
However, a group of troublesome teens soon crossed your path, wearing bloodied T-shirts, ripped jeans, gory makeup, and white eye contacts. You’ve seen them go up to people and pretend to swarm them, so you figured they were about to do the same to you.
What you failed to realized, though, was that something inside Robbie snapped and, without warning, he screeched loudly at the teens, lunging at them and trying to bite one of them in a fit of rage.
Thankfully, you managed to pull him away, realizing that his mindless, zombie instincts were kicking in. But then he, oddly enough, shoved you away and ran from you and the teens, retreating into the woods that were on the edge of your neighborhood.
And that leads you to your current situation.
“Robbie?” You called out into the dark forest. Worry began to form a knot in your stomach as the only response you got was the echoing “hoot” of a distant owl.
“Robbie, it’s me, [y/n]! Don’t hide! We can go home and-”
But you fell silent as you heard a low growl, akin to a wild animal’s whenever they were about to-
Suddenly, you were tackled from behind, causing you to let out a yelp of both pain and surprise. “G-GAH! GET OFF ME!!” You flipped over onto your back and looked up in shock to see that Robbie was you attacker.
Another yelp escaped from you as he snarled, attempting to bite you, but you put your hands on his chest, pushing him away from you. At this moment, you realized that he had gone full-zombie..and he could kill you without a second thought unless you snapped him out of it.
“Robbie! Stop!! IT’S ME!!” You screamed, silently praying that the Robbie you knew and loved was still in there somewhere, listening to your desperate pleas.
But he only growled and gnashed his teeth as he tried to get a taste of your flesh. “K..Kill..!”
Tears welled up in your eyes as he said that word. “R-Robbie..no…you’re not a killer….you don’t want to kill anyone! Especially not me!!” You closed your eyes, trying in vain to push him off.
Then suddenly, after several longer moments of violently struggling, Robbie ceased his attack. He blinked slowly, before glancing down at you to see your terrified expression.
Opening your eyes, you looked up at the zombie to see that his eyes were wide in shock.
Was he back to normal?
“Y-Yeah..it’s me..” You gave him a shaky smile, although it quickly faded as you saw tears welling up in his eyes, along with his lower lip quivering. “Hey…it’s okay..you didn’t-”
“R…Robbie..al-almost hurt..y-you..” He whimpered, collapsing onto you and burying his face into your neck. “R-Robbie…is..s-so…so…s-sorry..”
“Hey, shh, shh..it’s okay, hun.” You wrapped both of your arms around him and hushed him softly as you felt his frail body start to shake with sobs. “It’s alright…you’re back and that’s what matters..”
After a few minutes had passed, Robbie had stopped crying, although it was clear that he still felt incredibly guilty for attacking you. He let go of you for a brief moment so that the two of you could sit up.
As if on cue, your stomach began to growl a little. “Ugh..man…I guess one piece of candy wouldn’t hurt..” You muttered as you reached for your bag. But you glanced over at Robbie, seeing that he was looking down at the ground with a sad expression.
The zombie glanced up at you, tilting his head to the side and blinking in surprise when you handed him a chocolate bar.
“Eat this..it’ll make you feel better, I promise.”
His mood seemed to improve as he reached for the candy, but he seemed hesitant. “But…wait…” He muttered. “Y-You….aren’t..mad..?”
“Of course not, Robbie,” you shook your head, sighing a little. “I can never be mad at you. Now please..just have some chocolate.” A smile appeared on your face once more as you handed him the bar. “And afterwards we’ll go home and sort out the rest of the candy, okay?”
“O…kaaay..” Nodding slowly, Robbie took the chocolate bar from you and bit down on it, cringing at the taste.
“O-Oh..woops…lemme have that back for a second.” You giggled, realizing that you probably should’ve taken the wrapper off beforehand.
Once you got it back and removed the paper, you gave it back to Robbie, watching as he practically devoured the treat, humming with delight. Being a messy eater, he did get some chocolate on his lips, though you didn’t mind that.
Another giggle escaped from you as you reached over to rub his head. “It’s good, isn’t it?”
“Mhmm…” He nodded in agreement, lifting his head up and giving you a closed, chocolate-covered smile.
He was simply too damn cute for his own good.
