.....trekkie

mercy’s a giant Trekkie who admired doctor mccoy and bev crusher hardcore as she was growing up and she nearly shoves d.va off the couch when she sees reinhardt’s left the original series on one day

And everyone is kind of like “haha ok nerd” and some join her but pharah’s the first one to start teasingly calling her ‘bones’ during check ups and mercy is like, loving it but pretending not to b/c she’s not THAT dorky but pharah knows and keeps calling her it anyway

And that’s when mercy decides to marry her that is the exact moment

My Feelings for Star Trek Beyond

1st Trailer: No god no please oh god no don’t do this to me I can’t go through this heartbreak again

2nd Trailer: I guess I was too quick to judge this looks neat and I am cautiously optimistic

3rd Trailer: A Rihanna song? Why? *Google* Oh she’s a Trekkie. Cool.

1st Time Seeing the Movie: THIS IS A MASTERPIECE AND I WILL FIGHT ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE

2nd Time Seeing the Movie: listen all a y’all it’s a sabotage

LISTEN ALL A Y’ALL IT’S A SABOTAGE

LISTEN ALL A Y’ALL IT’S A SABOTAGE

LISTEN ALL A Y’ALL IT’S A SABOTAGE

I’ve gotten a hella ton of followers of the this past week and especially these last few days!! Crazy!! So I just wanna say I’m happy all you trekkies are gravitating towards my blog and I welcome you all with open arms you’re all my family now

and also to the star wars blogs following me I’m happy we could find a neutral middle ground because ily too star wars is great and so is space

Lessons we should take from Star Trek Beyond

1. Don’t trust trailers

2. Sometimes the thing you hate about a trailer ends up being really cool in the movie

3. Never underestimate a competent director

4. Have faith in good writers who care about the material

5. Don’t think Star Trek can’t surprise you anymore

I am heartbroken to see a lot of Trekkies being disappointed in George Takei or facing homophobic comments from shitty people. That’s why George’s statement was problematic and unfortunately it just proves that representation is highly needed. We couldn’t even be happy for at least 24 hours? The worst thing is that George is a LGBT activist himself and he already have stolen all the joy from this news. I’m really upstet because this is not what Star Trek is supposed to represent: tolerance and hope for a brighter future. Anyway, support Pegg and Lin’s decision and also John Cho. AND HERE’S A BIG HUG FOR EVERYONE!

About collaborating with CBS and Star Trek, designer/jeweler Allison Hourcade says:

My parents are both academics so while we had music lessons and mountains of books… there was not a lot of television allowed.   However, when I was seven years old, my mum went to medical school and my scientist father used to let me sneak downstairs to watch episodes of Twilight Zone, Young Indiana Jones, and Star Trek.  Spock taught me about wisdom, Picard taught me about integrity, and Janeway taught me that a woman could do anything (especially when she’s had her coffee!). Working with CBS and Star Trek is an homage to my father, and as the world celebrates 50 years of this iconic series, I celebrate a personal 25 years of life lessons imparted by their legacy.
