Re-watching this deleted scene strikes me differently now that I know the truth. I wish they had left it in, because it gave us a little more insight to how Mona was watching Charlotte during those five years and was really trying to get to the bottom of whether or not she’d gotten better.
Will we actually ever since to listen to/read any deleted scenes there are?
There are no deleted scenes really - there are plenty of notes/ideas that never make it into an episode, and very occasionally a beginning of an episode or piece of a scene that I then rethink and re-approach, but those things get deleted and written over.
Any dialogue that doesn’t make it into the final cut can still be seen in the scripts (though there are very few instances of this, and nothing important). I don’t keep drafts of my scripts, so the recording version is the only version of the script and those are the ones that you can see by becoming a $5+ patron on Patreon!
Neville was in total disgrace. Professor McGonagall was so furious with him she had banned him from all future Hogsmeade visits, given him a detention, and forbidden anyone to give him the password into the tower. Poor Neville was forced to wait outside the common room every night for somebody to let him in, while the security trolls leered unpleasantly at him.
