The Fifth Estate Prescreening!

You guys! Fifth Estate is such a wonderful movie! I will leave you with these wonderful tidbits:
-Once again, Benedict Cumberbatch excels in acting! Marvelous job! Everyone in the movie was A+, including Professor Lupin and The 12th Doctor!
-Ben can dance guys, as most have seen! Quote from the movie: “He’s like an Octopus, he’s all over!”
-Editing and cinematography were beautiful, but that is the film geek in me speaking!
-EVERYONE is in for a treat when they see it! :)

Happy Birthday Benedict!

These two will be the death of me.

German FAZ on The Fifth Estate

Today there is a long review of the film in the very distinguished Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung which is quite favourable and concentrates on the darker sides or Julian Assange and his general attitude towards the film, critical views of his person and the interaction with Benedict. Here are some quotes (translated by me).

Regarding the mail Assange sent to Benedict:

“He (Benedict) does not need any bizarre guidance. He carries the whole film.”

“However, Cumberbatch does a good job while not just following a script. His interpretation of Assange’s difficult character lends the film with its profusion of persons and places the necessary depth of focus. Those who do not know the WikiLeaks story will struggle to keep track of the leaks and concentrate on following the outstanding Cumberbatch.”

“The film shows the founder of the platform as a cryptic character. And Julian Assange reacts as usual: He abuses the leading actor and launches his own propaganda."
