Disclaimer: not my gif
[Y/N] = your first name
Growing up in an upper-middle-class home in California was something that Y/N Stratford had always been thankful for. Being subjected to those assholes that people at her school called boys, however, was not something that she appreciated very much. None of the boys at Y/N’s high school were worth any of her time, in her opinion, and some of the girls there were pretty awful too. Y/N’s sister, on the other hand, totally disagreed. After their mother passed away, Y/N and Nat had started falling out more than ever, and they barely even spoke to one another anymore.
Natasha Statford was the incarnation of all the things that people at Stark High School wanted to be: pretty and popular. That was the extent of it. And not only was Nat shallow and a little bit of an airhead, but she was awful to her older sister, Y/N, and had taken advantage of their dad’s love for his daughters when their mother passed away. Nat wanted to do what everyone else her age did: date a cute boy with a high social rank at their school. Perhaps that was what made Nat the favoured Statford sister. Y/N was just as beautiful as Nat, and even more smart. But she had an antisocial, often abrasive attitude and wanted nothing to do with the losers at their school.
Nat’s best friend, Sharon Carter, was smart enough to befriend Nat in order to climb her way through the social system of their high school, not that Nat would ever realise, and had always had her eye on Steve Rogers; a self-absorbed high school senior and aspiring model. Steve’s affluent best friend Tony was the grandson of the man who founded the high school they all attended, and it only made the two of them even more unbearable.
At least Y/N had one friend that was worth having: Wanda Maximoff. Wanda was considered to be even more odd than Y/N at Stark, and that was saying something. She wore dark clothing and loved Shakespeare more than anything. People gave her nicknames such as witch, but Wanda only ignored them. One more year of school and Wanda and Y/N would be gone from that hell hole anyway.
In the morning, Nat and Y/N got to school separately. Nat rode the bus with Sharon in the mornings and Y/N took her old car that she had bought with the money she saved from all of her part-time jobs. Y/N – unlike Natasha – wanted to be responsible for herself and was sure that she would only use her inheritance for paying for college and nothing else. Natasha was already coaxing her father into buying her Prada backpacks and who knows what else. So once Y/N and Nat were out the door, it was almost like they didn’t even know each other.
45. “I’m your lock screen?!” - “You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“Yo! Steve, can you bring me my phone?” You hollered to your friend as you kneaded the bread dough in front of you.
“What could you possibly need your phone for while baking bread?” Steve responded from the other room, he sounded busy too.
“I wanna listen to music and I don’t have my playlists synced with FRIDAY yet.” You paused, waiting to see if he’d respond. He didn’t. “Please!”
“Jesus…” Steve mumbled under his breath. “Hey, Buck, can you-”
“Yeah, where is it?” Bucky got up from the couch and set his book down.
“Here.” Steve held it up. Bucky gave him a puzzling look, curious as to why the hell Steve had your phone. “I was actually trying to find some new songs to listen to so she lent me her phone.”
Bucky shook his head and took the device, twirling it in his fingers as he strutted to the kitchen. He chuckled at the sight of you, flour spotted your clothing and parts of your face. You’d even managed to get some in your hair. He held your phone up when you noticed him enter the room.
“Can you put my top playlist on?” You plopped the dough in a pot and covered it with a lid.
“Yeah, what’s your…” His voice trailed off and you peered up at him as you slid the cast iron into the oven. “I’m your lockscreen?”
“Fuck!” You burned your hand and quickly yanked it back, closing the oven door with your foot. “You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“Where did you get this picture?” He smiled down at your phone before cocking at eyebrow at you. “This is from the time we visited the beach last month, right?”
“Yeah.” You cleared your throat and turned the sink on with your elbow. “You just looked so happy running around with Steve…playing in the water, laughing, flirting with the babes; I thought I’d take a few candid pictures.”
“What made you choose this one as your background?” His smile had been replaced with a devious smirk.
“I just like the picture.” You dropped your gaze and fought the grin tugging on your lips.
“It is a pretty decent picture of me. Shows off how muscular I am.” You could feel his gaze boring into you and your strength betrayed you. You dropped your head and laughed, drying your hands off and bringing them up to hide your face. “And my massive bulge.”
“Oh my god!” You turned around and giggled into your hands.
“I think it’s only fair that since I’m your lockscreen, you become mine.” Bucky circled in front of you and lowered your hands. He had his phone raised and with a tap of his thumb he had captured your beautifully embarrassed expression. “You’re so adorable.”
He chuckled before handing you your phone. He pushed a strand of hair out of your face and dropped down, placing a kiss on your cheek. You forced an eye roll as he walked away. You groaned and shook your head.

I jog down the streets of Brooklyn. Looking at my watch, I realised I was late for work. Suddenly I hear sounds coming from an alley to my right. I know I should be ignoring these sounds, it’s probably just guys bantering or some people joking. But then I hear a feeble voice,
“I could do this all day. ”
Someone growled, and I immediately walked into the little space. Standing with his back to the brick wall is a small, blonde man, facing a big bully with a mop of dark hair.
I suddenly felt drawn towards the scrawny male. His determination didn’t look like it was going to run out soon.
The blonde threw a punch, a weak punch. The bully caught his hand and returned it with a strong right hook. The boy fell, spitting out blood.
I couldn’t stand this. I may be small, but I could throw a mean jab.
I walked towards the bully, and kneed him in his lower back. He pivoted to look at me, and snarled. Before he had a chance to do anything, I threw a hard, straight jab at the jaw.
Suddenly, I heard a deep voice behind me.
“Ma'am, I can handle him. ”
I am pushed aside by a tall, dark haired man in a uniform. He strode up to the bully, threw a good few punches, and the bully ran away.
The small guy spoke up.
“ Thank you ma'am ”
I nodded and stretched my hand.
The brunette smiled. “You can throw a mean punch, doll. Where’d you learn that?”
I grinned. “ A kickboxing class. ”
The brunette introduced himself and the other guy. “ Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers. ”
I nodded at Steve. “You’re a strong man. ”
He chuckled and gestured at his body. “Really?”
“Your Heart and faith are strong. ”
He laughed. “Well, that doesn’t ever get me the girl. ”
You grinned. “Really? I’m hooked. ”
Bucky laughed. “There you go, Steve. A date for the Stark Expo tonight.”
Steves eyes widened. “Oh..okay” he smiled.
I offered him my hand, and the three of us walked away. I had totally forgotten about my job.
To be fair its steves set and his performance and louis is just a guest so it understandable why they showed steve more, doesnt mean i like it tho. But whats more important is that he did amazing and so many people watched him and danced with him. Im very proud.
?????? sorry but when an edm artist has only a few special guests, the cameramen should DEFINITELY show them more than they did with louis here….they showed the crowd just as much as they showed steve if not more so they could have replaced some of that crowd time by showing the person singing. nobody expects them to replace steve time with louis but they could have replaced some of the pans to the crowd ??? seems reasonable to me soz
It is possible that I am already working on an alternate POV for this fic.
