natgeotravel Video by @tobyharriman// Elowah Falls is one of many photogenic waterfalls found in the Columbia River Gorge that separates Washington and Oregon State. It’s only a short hike from the trailhead to see for yourself. Upper McCord Creek Falls is just beyond the Elowah waterfall and is gorgeous from numerous aerial angles.

Last one for the day.. Karambit with maple burl. This one is going to my brother @bkwoodworkingdesign

Guardian of the Lyre || Olympic Peninsula || Photography by Haley Willner

The guardian of the Lyre River honored me with its presence two days ago. It was the same day my grandfather introduced me to this gem of a river (and he’s always been the good luck charm when it comes to seeing wildlife/wonder where I get it from haha).

I had seen this eagle swoop down over the river and I thought I had missed my chance to photograph it. However, I was in for a surprise when I turned a corner and this GORGEOUS bald eagle was sitting above the river looking for fish. I need to invest in a bigger zoom lens and I MUST come back and camp here when the weather is better and bring a few respectful forest friends to enjoy this secret spot. Thank you for viewing!!
