“Hello, witchling,” he said. Her full sensuous mouth tightened slightly, either in a repressed grimace or smile, he couldn’t tell. But she sat up, her moon-white hair sliding forward - her chains clanking. “Hello, princeling,” she said.
So here are some shots from a random drive to god knows where 😛. It was a lovely, miserable, wet day, which resulted in this epic cloud shroud over the mountains and a literal wall of cloud coming at us down the hillside.
It was *awesome*.
This part of the country has very narrow, very twisty roads. We drove up a mountain, with blind bends, on single track roads with designated ‘passing places’, in the rain.
Mum was bricking it, natch. Bro handled it with aplomb but was deffo out of his comfort zone. He’s a sensible driver tho, so I was having a great time (funnily enough I sometimes get hit with sudden anxiety while travelling in cars so I’m surprised this didn’t trigger it in hindsight as it was kinda gnarly. Maybe it’s coz I’m super vigilant about taking my meds when I’m away, I dunno).
They voted to drive a more sensible way back. Spoilsports 😉.
We found this little beachy inlet with the most insanely blue water you’ve ever seen outside of a Caribbean holiday brochure. Seriously, the photos don’t do it justice. It wasn’t even sunny out and this water was just ridiculous. I didn’t see water that blue in the fucking *Mediterranean*.
Coming up in RC’s Holiday Picspam: The end of the road! Security sheep! Random birb! Aardvarks in castles! (not actually aardvarks in castles).
Give yourself to the Dark Side. It is the only way you can save your
friends. Yes; your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are
strong. Especially for your… sister. So, you have a twin sister.
Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her
from me. Now, his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the Dark
Side… then perhaps she will… (Insp)
“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves; vanity to what we would have others think of us.” ― Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
“There’s been a moment when I discovered I’m very breakable and very human. At that moment I thought I was broken and I thought I was used up and I thought I had nothing left to give. I’d given everything and I didn’t really know what was left. But there’s a part of us that is unbreakable. You always find it again..”
