Rough sketch of the Mech from Workplace Competition Part 1.

Mechs were first introduced during World War 2 shortly after Japan and Nazi Germany joined forces. Japan were the first to develop them as a way to show their military might, but was only able to create one or two due to their limited resources. After joining forces though, the countries manage to create their own war mechs. The Allies also created their own, but very late in the war. For instance, America manage to develop their own and only deploy them during the battle of Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

Afterwards, Mechs were used for both military and civilian purposes. The mech above is for deep mining and ore extracting. Hence is why its hands are built like boxing gloves and reinforced.
