I just don't see what's wrong with being a woman? Why do you hate being a woman, women rock, be happy to be one

I’m non-binary and someone should get me candy so I can put it in my non-binary mouth and have a grand ol time being non-binary and lovely. Or better yet, the pretty wig on the list so I can still be non-binary with long flowing hair~

another dumb sombra theory/headcanon pt2

as far as “”“canon”““ (term used loosely) for this character goes, she likes to play games with people. I mean the whole ARG is one big game, essentially.

That makes me think she’s going to be a chaotic-neutral type of person. Helps out Talon but also lowkey helps out Overwatch.

Like, casually dumps a bunch of dirt on Talon’s front door about the OW heroes while “accidently leaking” the IP addresses of people who are talking shit/harassing Hana in D.Va’s stream.

Decrypts Talon’s privacy to make it easier for their comms to be breached but also messes Athena up like crazy and ddoses her to shut down for the day

why? because lets be real. sombra has the power. she told us herself.

What did Konami do now?

Jesus Christ, more like what didn’t they do lmao

Other than that pathetic excuse for a zombie-survival game they slapped the name “Metal Gear” onto just to sell copies to poor saps recently (which LMAO they realized their mistake and are crawling back), I was just reminded of how much they’ve cocked things up within the past year or so.

Letting go of Kojima (among many other talented gaming heads), turning their most beloved and well-known IPs into pachinko machines (Castlevania EROTIC VIOLENCE. SILENT HILL. AS A PINBALL-ESQUE. mAAcHIINneEE.), practically abusing their own employees, turning their backs on gaming and gamers as a whole, and, oh yeah, fuckin legally preventing Kojima from accepting an award Phantom Pain got. They LEGALLY, with the whole nine yards of stuffy ass lawyers, stopped him from getting an award

I was just reminded of all this shit because of how Silent Hills was canceled (which makes me infinitely MORE salty) and I just????

Fuck Konami lmao

so this adult man is in the library rn and he’s got two toddlers with him, and they’re fighting and one of them is like “but she said! she took it!” and this asshat goes “well you gotta understand, half the things girls say are lies” in this voice d r ipping with condescension and i s2g he glances over at me minding my own business at the computer, like he’s actually waiting for a reaction. basically i’m about ready to punch him in the throat and steal his kids. whos gonna stop me. 80 y/o lady at the counter? w ho

Follow up to the grad application question: Would you recommend I present at local conferences to better stand out and give my CV more weight? I find the thought of presenting at a conference to be an attractive one since I can potentially get insight for research from many different scholars within anthropology. My particular research interests are focused in an area with little to no contributions from people within the field. I am hard pressed to find anyone who can adequately assist.

Hello Anon,

I strongly recommend going to a conference. I actually just finished a huge conference (IPS/ASP) yesterday. It was a lot of money (big conferences cost a lot, but small ones are doable), but I do not regret doing it. I learned so much from experts in the fields, was able to see current and ongoing research, talked to fellow students, made valuable connections with bigwigs and established organizations, and was able to present my own work. I would recommend going to a conference, local or big. In smaller conferences, you’ll meet nearby researchers and they are always looking for help or collaboration. You can present your work and receive valuable feedback.

If you don’t have anything to present, I would still attend the conference (within a reasonable budget). There were many students who paid $300 to attend the IPS/ASP conference even though they had nothing to present. Weigh your options in this. I would definitely recommend it for smaller conferences.

It’s tough to present work that very people know or are interested in. But I would still present it because there might be other researchers who never considered your topic and could provide feedback (and be interested). At the very least, they would know who you are when you’re applying to grad school.

But also, going to a conference is a great way to get your work out there. Let other researchers know what you’re doing and what you plan on doing. Even if it’s a niche study, you will still receive feedback. At the very least, go to a conference to present what you’ve dedicated so much time and energy on. Be proud of your work.

In terms of applications, yes. Going to conferences does help, but you can still get into a PhD program without going to one.

I get so many hits from the same IP address from Maple Shade, Italy and Spain that the fighting side of me wants to change my URL every hour to really make them work for their jobs.

I mean why do they need to look at my blog twice an hour 24 hours a day?

What are your top favorite movies? I really want to watch something new but have no ideas? Thank you <3

I don’t know what kind of movie and what genre do you like but I love every movie by Christopher Nolan, especially Batman TDK Trilogy (!!!) & Inception - all time favorite. If you haven’t watched The Prestige, I totally recommend you to watch it too! Other than that will be The Hobbit+LOTR, Kingsman, Elysium, etc. Oh and Ip Man 1, 2, and 3!! It’s a chinese movie and it’s SO GREAT I can’t put into words how much I love it tbh… It’s very inspirational and I learned a lot from it.

You might’ve watched many of them since most of them are well-known (and I don’t watch many movies either OTL), hope it helps though!

Listen pal, I was the one that originally took those screenshots and tagged acecommunityreceipts in them. Maybe someone who’s what… nearly fifty apparently? Like yourself knows all about IP addresses, but I don’t. It’s “awfully convenient” for you to just paint us all as liars, but all I saw were a bunch of scared anons, and schnoox posting their IP’s. But guess what?

It didn’t start like that.

It started with schnoox ACTUALLY leaking the IP address of someone who WASN’T on anon, and who WASN’T joking. Then came the anons such as the ones in the above screenshots, and why would I assume they were a hilarious little in joke? When schnoox had just leaked a real person’s real IP address?

You realise you can be twice someone’s age as an adult, right… Oh and the top one I remember having text and numbers. “LUNA” amidst numbers. I did think it strange, but it wasn’t a weird word or anything obviously false, I thought it was an American thing and didn’t give it any thought afterwards. I’m terribly sorry to not know a single damn thing about IP addresses.

It’s incredibly fucked up of you to insist that everyone who disagrees with you is a filthy liar. And there’s plenty of real receipts on that blog, you’re so disingenuous as a person. In fact, I could give you my mind on a USB stick, showing you I thought those screenshots were as genuine as what schnoox had already done - and you’d still insist anyone who doesn’t lap up your every word is a liar. It’s pathetic.

You want to do this? Okay, let’s do this. First of all, don’t fucking call me “pal.” I am not your friend and I do not appreciate being referred to in terms that are predominantly masculine-coded. You fucking know I’m a trans woman. Misgendering is violence. Don’t do that.

If they actually did leak someone’s IP? That’s what you pull receipts on and call leaking an IP. You don’t need to make shit up. “Oh,” you say, “but I couldn’t possibly have known that they were fake!” If only there was some way to find out what an IP address looks like. (There’s also the small matter that they looked completely different from each other, which wouldn’t have passed a sniff test if you actually cared.)

And no, it is mathematically impossible for me to be twice the age of an adult. But, y’know, don’t let that stop you from making shit up about me. It usually doesn’t, as illustrated by you doing so right here in this post.

When you act with reckless disregard for the truth and spread falsehoods as a result? Yeah, that’s lying. The responsibility is on you to verify the accuracy of your claims. Period. It’s nothing about whether or not someone “laps up my words,” it’s whether they actively present information as facts without regard to its truth.

TL;DR: If you don’t want to be seen to be a liar, don’t literally make shit up and present it as fact. That’s what lying is.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

dont worry ashley its ok i know ur still in love w me

anyways i have her ip lmao any time now i can report her for having illegal property in her possessions and with the existing claim of her dad being a fucking rapist theres no doubt itd be 100% effective in getting both them pasty white southern incest loving asses out of society

Kris here.

I’m finally “free”-ish so I can start to answer asks. If you sent a biological/medical/primatological ask, I’m sorry it’s taking so long.

So if you have any questions, about grad schools, primatology, life, or well.. almost anything, I will do my best to answer it these few weeks and this upcoming year. I also hope that I could actually live blog being in the field, but that is always contingent to the temperamental Internet connection there. But if things go well and I DO get to teach a field course, I will definitely do my best to keep y'all in the loop.

For those of you who went to the IPS/ASP joint conference last week, that’s amazing!!! And if you’re still around in Chicago the rest of this month, I would love to have a small get together :)

Best wishes,
