In a mission, they mixed in a party, Roman played as an invited guest and was in charge of gathering information by… socializing with those ladies, meanwhile Ruby sneaked in secretly and found a place to hide herself then waited. However she could hear the conversation among Roman and those ladies from her earphone, including all his sweet words. Though she knew he said all those just for their mission, she didn’t feel good.
Roman was chatting with those beautiful ladies, they talked and laughed a lot and all of them loved his gentleness and humor. Then Roman suddenly saw something, and said to one of those ladies, “Oh my, that is fabulous Ms. would you mind…?” The lady offered her hand willingly, “You are interested in jewelry? I have more with me in my room, diamond, sapphire, jade, whatever you could think of, and they are much better than this one. If you’re willing…”
However Roman interrupted her and chuckled, “I’d love to but, unfortunately, among all these only Ruby is my precious, and I would bet mine is the most beautiful one all around the world.”
Some other ladies showed a great curiosity, “I’d love to see it if there were a chance someday.”
“Maybe another day, it would be my honor to have such pretty ladies to my place…“
Then they continued their talking, and none of these ladies would ever know, there was a girl hiding in a small corner, got her face all blushed just like a most beautiful ruby.

Aquarius: one of the rarest fairies, every part of her is silver, except her fragile, translucent wings. she only comes out during a full moon and is found in quiet, moonlit forests. she wears a dress made out of silvery moonlight. her favorite accessory is a crown made out of moonflowers.
Pisces: this fairy frequents vast meadows, looking for a flower to make her home in. she makes her beautiful dresses out of stray flower petals she finds. her huge, butterfly-like wings are as big as she is. her most prized possession is her wooden flute, which she can use to call animals to her.
Forgive me if you've been asked this already but at what moment do you think Clarke fell in love with Lexa, or realized she was in love with her? I believe Eliza had trouble answering this at a con (I think she said it was before the bow though) so I'm wondering what you think.
Mmm that’s hard to say, and honestly, that’s kinda what I love about it. Because you can’t always exactly pinpoint the moment you fall in love with someone, right? Maybe it’s a feeling that grows gradually but unstoppable, maybe it’s like a wave hitting you at once, it varies. And that’s how I think it was for Clarke.
The way I see it, it was sudden for her at first and then everything slowed down and it naturally developed. It wasn’t love yet in the beginning, but there was definitely a realization that she had feelings for Lexa. Just look at her face after storming out of Lexa’s tent in 2x14.
Why else would she looked so bothered? If she had just been upset about their argument she would have had an angry face. Instead she looks like she’s literally trying to physically restrain her feelings, whatever they may be. She takes that deep, shaky breath in an attempt to collect herself because, what the hell just happened inside that tent? Did Lexa really just confess she has feelings for me? And why does it affect me so much? What am I feeling? This is what I think is going through her mind. And then of course we have the confirmation of this, when she gladly replies to Lexa’s kiss. Even after she rejects her, there is no indication of that being a definitive rejection. There is no feeling of “I’m sorry, but I don’t reciprocate.” Clarke is not ready for a relationship, and it’s right that she was honest with Lexa, but she rejects her in literally the softest way possible, AND leaves the door open for the future. Not yet. That means she already sees herself considering a relationship with Lexa in the future, after healing, when she’s finally ready. And look at how tender and somewhat tamely longing her gaze is even after she rejected Lexa.
She is definitely aware of her feelings for Lexa here. But then the betrayal happens and ah, they take 46 steps back.
Now, of course, Lexa’s betrayal causes Clarke to close herself off. Clarke is angry at Lexa, she’s angry at herself, she’s in pain, every other feeling pales in comparison. And obviously, so much of Clarke’s suffering is tied to what Lexa did, so it’s definitely not a surprise that romance is out of the question when they first meet again. Clarke’s pain is consuming her, she is definitely not thinking about whatever she and Lexa had. And yet…
This isn’t a romantic moment by any means. But we’re talking about Clarke realizing she loves Lexa, and I don’t think we can’t gloss over this moment. When I say that I don’t romanticize this scene, it’s because this is not a cute moment. This isn’t a “oh my God, she loves her!” moment, this moment is sad. It’s painful, it’s heartbreaking, but it’s so damn important. Clarke can’t kill Lexa here. How much easier would it be for her to shut her heart out entirely, to blame Lexa for everything and just kill her without feeling anything? I bet in that moment, a part of Clarke wants that. But Clarke feels, and she feels for Lexa. She has these feelings and they won’t go away, not even when she’s at her lowest. So yeah, not a romantic moment, but definitely essential to understand Clarke’s complicated feelings for Lexa.
After the bow, Clarke is a little more trusting towards Lexa, but she’s definitely still closed off, she’s not ready to expose her heart yet. And we get to the “I’m doing it for my people” episode, 3x04. Right from the very beginning, Clarke spends the entire episode trying to find a way to keep Lexa safe, to protect her. But every single time she voices her concerns to Lexa or hell, even Titus, her preoccupation feels far more personal than political. She’s worried, she’s agitated, she even seems angry that Lexa won’t listen to her and step away from the duel. It’s a crescendo of apprehension and frustration and anxiousness as every single one of Clarke’s attempts fails, crescendo that culminates in an emotional explosion.
The second gif is particularly telling. Titus interrupts them, the moment is gone and Clarke finds herself having to face what just happened. Look at her face, at how she looks away from Lexa and sucks a breath through her teeth. She’s restraining her feelings, but she’s a little too late this time. And it’s not only Lexa who is shaken by Clarke’s emotional outburst, it’s Clarke herself too. She doesn’t catch herself in time and now she can’t pretend with herself that those feelings aren’t there. I think this is when the true first “shift” after the betrayal happens. Clarke wants to keep Lexa at arm’s length but Lexa might very well die that same day and, despite any resolution she had, the thought terrifies Clarke. And she’s so scared that she’s never going to see Lexa again that…
I could write an essay on all the emotions Clarke experiences before and throughout and at the end of Lexa’s duel, but the gist of it is that during this tense moment, with Lexa’s life on the line, she can’t bring herself to hide her feelings. It’s all there, on her face.
Only when things settle down she is able to collect herself again. Lexa comes visit her that night and we see Clarke pull her walls up again. “I was just doing what was right for my people.” BUT! Even if Clarke is not ready to open up her heart again, that scene is infused with intimacy. Even Clarke’s “rejection” is filled with emotion.
Clarke is the opposite of cold here. The way I see it, she is pulling away because she’s realizing she’s close to giving in, but she’s not yet ready for that. It’s so clear that here Lexa is talking about what happened at Mount Weather too, this is another quiet apology that Clarke obviously recognizes. If she went with her feelings, Clarke would have to admit that she does understand Lexa, that in her heart maybe she’s already forgiven her. But in that moment it’s too overwhelming, so she looks away and avoids the conversation, avoids Lexa’s gaze, avoids having to focus on her feelings.
She literally keeps having to look away because things get too intense but at the same time there’s a tenderness in her eyes that she can’t hide. And once Lexa is gone and she can breathe… bam
All the feelings she restrained, everything she tried to hide merely minutes ago hits her full force. I said I think Clarke’s love for Lexa developed gradually, naturally, but if I had to pick a specific moment and say that’s when Clarke realized she’s in love with Lexa, it would be this one.
By the time we get to 3x06, I do believe Clarke knows and has accepted she is in love with Lexa, but she’s still struggling to admit it out loud, especially to Lexa. That episode happens roughly 7-10 days after the events of Hakeldama, and when we see Clarke and Lexa again, they are closer than ever. There is a sense of intimacy, of almost domesticity between them. They are comfortable with each other’s presence. There’s not really a reason for them being in the same room in that scene: Lexa fell asleep while reading and Clarke is drawing (there are other sheets in her folder, which makes me think she was drawing other things before focusing on Lexa). They don’t have to talk or interact, they simply are together.
When Lexa wakes up from the nightmare, Clarke doesn’t hesitate to jump next to her and comfort her, with soothing touches and calming, reassuring words. And then we get to the moment Lexa notices the drawing. A lot has been said about Lexa’s face, but instead look at Clarke’s.
This is the exact opposite of what I was talking about in 3x04. Lexa sees the drawing and is taken aback. That she doesn’t know whether she should hope for anything is another story, but the look she gives Clarke is very telling. And Clarke doesn’t avoid it. Yes, her first instinct is to play it off as something meaningless. “Uh, that’s not- it’s not finished yet.” But then Lexa looks at her, confused, surprised, a tiny bit hopeful, and Clarke meets her gaze and they just stare at each other. Look at that little pause she does before lifting her eyes. That’s when she chooses not to hide. As I said, I think that here Clarke has come to terms with her feelings for Lexa, but here for the first time, she doesn’t hide them from Lexa. Her look is just as telling as Lexa’s. They aren’t saying a word and this is one of their most honest, important conversations. Clarke is silent, but her eyes are speaking, her untold feelings are there, and maybe letting Lexa know isn’t so unfathomable anymore. Maybe, maybe Clarke this is the closest Clarke has been to being ready.
So this is what i think. The way I see it, it’s tricky and complicated and simply beautiful.
How Feyre’s Character Development Is Shown In The Covers Throughout The Series
I love how simply the covers of the ACOTAR series shows Feyre’s character development throughout the series. It’s mind blowing to be honest.
You can see in ACOTAR how Feyre is standing straight. Although it could be said she’s standing upright for confidence during the last part of the novel, we know her stance could also show her complacence throughout the novel. Especially after reading the books and from the events that happens within ACOTAR. Her stance also looks stiff to an extent, showing how she is still submissive or under someone’s command. Furthermore, there is only half of her on the cover as if she’s trying to hide herself. The red in the background also indicate either her anger, loss, and/or death prior to reading the novel. The roses, obviously, fits with the title of Thorns and Roses but can also foreshadow Feyre and Tamlin’s relationship in the novel being like a rose: seemingly beautiful and sweet but, in honesty, is also harmful like the thorns of a rose. Her dress is also more conservative (?) (if you compare it to the other two in ACOMAF and ACOWAR) yet provocative (?). It covers most of her stomach and legs, showing how she was still insecure about herself and the only reasons she willingly used an outfit with a front that low is because she was either told to (although I have absolutely no judgement if she wore that willingly, she would work it just fine tbh haha). You could say her outfit is elegant (since it’s from Rhysand ofc) yet it gives off the vibe that she was made to wear it - something she is not use to given her awkward stance.
In a ACOMAF you could see how she is standing more fluidly on the side of the book. She is no longer stiff but looks more comfortable with her body. Her pose exerts confidence and strength, especially with her hand and the way it’s positioned above the wind as if she’s controlling it (which she probably is in some way if you think of Rhysand being the wind since he can fly etc., etc.). More of her is now shown on the cover as if she’s having the courage to step out of the book and show herself on the cover for what she is. Feyre’s hair blowing the way it is can show that she is in movement and could be fighting unlike her previous state in the Spring Court. Her outfit has also upgraded into more of an armour, showing that she is stronger now and fighting for herself compared to the beginning of ACOTAR when she was at the Spring Court. Furthermore, the armour could also indicate that she is working with someone else since we know from ACOTAR that the Spring Court does not have armours of the sort for females but only dresses (egh). The cover, once more, also fits with the title in accordance to the Mist and Fury part: misting is a skill Rhysand has (somewhat a foreshadow that Feyre’s mate might be Rhysand) and fury could indicate either Rhysand’s fury at the events that occurred Under the Mountain or Feyre’s fury at Tamlin showing his true self. Her tattoo on her left arm from Rhysand is also much more visible than her tattoo in the ACOTAR cover, as if she’s no longer trying to hide it like before but showing it off. The color blue is also known as reliable, calm, creative, intelligent, and maybe responsible (from a Google search I did). This foreshadows (EVEN MORE) about Feyre’s personality as we know she stopped painting for a given amount of time before starting again in the Night Court. The blue also indicates calm, intelligence, reliability and responsibility, all of the things Rhysand and Feyre are. Especially the reliability part foreshadows Feyre and Rhysand’s relationship as we know that she trusts him even though she denied it at first. The small city silhouette in the background can also show that she is in Velaris instead of the Spring Court where she only knows Tamlin’s home (palace?).
NOW IN ACOWAR. LET ME JUST TALK ABOUT THE OUTFIT FIRST. Previously Feyre was wearing armour, as if she was an accomplice of Rhysand’s Inner Circle, working with them to take out Tamlin and Hybern. NOW, NOW IT’S A FUCKING DRESS THAT SHOWS SHE’S A HIGH LADY BUT STILL STRONG AND FIGHTING FOR HERSELF. The design (by the lovely @charliebowater ) practically exudes confidence, strength, and her ability to see what is wrong and right (especially with the eyes on her belt but that could also foreshadow Jurian since his eyeball was Amarantha’s ring). The glistening of the bottom of her dress could also represent starlight, connecting back to the Night Court and Starfall possibly. The position of her arms and the way she’s now showing off both hands and the tattoo shamelessly indicates her confidence with being a part of the Night Court and Rhysand’s Inner Circle. The way her hands are resting on her hips further proves my point of her growing confidence as she stands as if she’s ready to face anything. Also, her full body is now on the cover unlike in ACOTAR when only half of her was showing. This can be seen as her way of finally discovering and accepting her strengths and, once more, exuding confidence. She’s also holding an Illyrian blade, far different than before when she was only showing her hands in the ACOMAF cover. This shows how her abilities have furthered and that she could fight now, with a blade (cause we know her speciality is actually a bow) and with her powers (which is explained in the next sentence). The mist around her could show how her strengths in misting may be improving in the novel compared to when she was still first training with Rhysand and, maybe, her fire powers also since we can interpret this as smoke too. We already know she can control her water powers very well. The color green, after a Google search, portrays balance, harmony, nature but also envy. The balance and harmony of the green could be a foreshadowing of the ending of ACOWAR and how, possibly (hopefully, dear lord hopefully), the ending might be peace amongst Prythian once more. The nature part of the green could indicate the Spring Court and her return. However, the envy part of green, what I really think, is referred to Tamlin and his envy. I feel like he will end up finding out about Feyre being mated with Rhysand and he will be even more envious (pray to the Mother that Tamlin doesn’t do anything stupid like he already did). HER HAIR, again it’s blowing showing that everything around her might be in motion and she’s ready to take them down like she promised. The background also has mountains if you look close enough. This may be a foreshadow that Feyre and the Inner Circle may have to return to Under the Mountain once more to fix Prythian (this is making me extremely nervous). Finally, the title. Lord, Mother, I love Cassian so much please don’t let him die. The cover fits with the title of A Court of Wings and Ruin once more although not entirely: the wings part may be a foreshadowing (I’m sorry I repeat this stylistic feature so much) to, sadly, Cassian’s wings (although I still refuse, to believe it). The “ruins” part may be referring to how everything is falling apart just like the ending of the last book but, this time, it might be the actual ruin of the Spring Court and Hybern. Maybe even Under the Mountain since there are mountain silhouettes in the background.
Well, that’s my interpretation of the covers. I felt the need to do this the moment the ACOWAR cover came out. I noticed her stance change and the way she brings herself. I couldn’t resist myself.
She felt the cool metal of the cabinet drawers hit her back, his long fingers weaving through her loose blonde strands. Was it possible to die from ecstasy? If so, what a way to go. His lips trailed a path from her neck to her collar bone as she squeezed her eyes shut and wrapped her long legs around him, pulling him even tighter against her body.
Her hands moved to unbuckle the belt around his waist, but they were quickly knocked out of the moment by an obnoxiously loud banging on the door of the trailer.
“Is that your mom!?” Jughead ripped away from his sexy girlfriend and pulled his shirt back on, heading for the door.
She hadn’t witnessed the whole interaction, just the exchange of jackets and his surprised face when she called his name. Heading back into the trailer, Betty started to gather her things, leaving Jughead to speak to his new “friends”. She had to get out of here, what was she thinking? Hanging around Serpent territory after everything that had happened in the past month. Buttoning her jacket and searching for her bag she hardly registered Jughead walking towards her, she never even heard him speak her name. She jumped when he placed a hand on her shoulder
“Betty..” he started before she cut him off
“I should go. It’s late, It’s not too far from here.. I’ll walk, the fresh air will be good for me.” She moved towards the door but he quickly put his hand out to stop her
“You’re not going out there on your own, talk to me. Let’s talk about this.” He begged, his hands playing with the buttons on her jacket.
“There’s nothing to talk about, you made your decision.” She wrapped her arms around herself, it was what she did when she was bidding from someone, it made Jughead heart ache to see her hide herself from him.
“Nothing’s been decided, it’s just a stupid jacket. It doesn’t matter, you matter, we matter” he emphasized the we as she stepped back finally getting a look at him in the jacket.
Fuck. It was sexy as hell.
Obviously not the criminalistic activities tagged along with the logo but the way the jacket wrapped around his broad shoulders, his tossled black hair falling in his face, as he stared at her with wide, scared eyes. This was still Jughead, this was still the boy who had declared his love for her a mere minutes ago, the boy who had made her ache in places she didn’t know possible. He was still her Jughead, just an incredibly sexy version.
His eyes ducked to meet hers before she mumbled under her breath
The long pink peacoat hit the ground in seconds flat and before Jughead could even catch his balance, Betty was wrapped around him, her fingers tangled in his hair before running over the swirly snake emblazed on his back.
“I want you” She growled into his ear, her hands pulling the leather from his body as they stumbled into his bedroom.
Jughead pulled back, looking into his girlfriends glazed and lust filled eyes as she pulled off her tank top , revealing the lacy pink bra he had admired a few minutes ago. As he stared down at the perfect specimen laying on her back on his old mattress, he couldn’t think of his father or the Southside or his future, all he could think of was being with Betty completely, showing their love in the most absolute way.
“Are you sure?” He asked quickly, his own shirt now laying on the floor as she gazed up at him through her eyelashes
“Never been so sure” she whispered
That was all it took for him to dive into her, lifting her by the hips and tugging her into the headboard, his jeans hanging loose on his hips while she unzipped her skirt letting him tug it all the way down his fingers tracing her long smooth legs. She whined from above him, her hands reaching for him, he dragged his palms the entire length of her body and moaned when she pressed her chest into his hands
“Right there” she let out on a breathy sigh, he glanced up to find her eyes closed as he quickly disposed of her bra, taking the time to admire her breasts before letting his inexperienced fingers wander, by the way she sighed he assumed he was doing something right. Betty could feel how excited he was digging into her thigh
“Protection, do you have it?” She asked dazed as he pulled something from the side drawer
“Never thought this would happen, dad wanted me to be prepared just in case. Never imagined it’d be with you, only dreamed it” he mumbled against her neck, grinding into her, his soft cotton boxers causing friction with the lace of her panties.
She watched as he pulled the condom on, and slowly pulled the lace away, staring intently at something she was certain he had never seen before. Her eyes took in all of him, once he finished he looked up at her with unsure eyes
“I love you Jughead Jones, no matter what you are, who you become. I love you” she encouraged, wrapping her legs around his waist and bringing him inside of her. She winced at the pain, it hurt more than she expected, but hearing the deep guttural groan of her normally composed boyfriend, eased the ache a bit.
“I love you. God I love you” he moaned into her neck, pulling in and out of her excruciatingly slow. It al happened so fast she wasn’t even sure when she had hit her high, only coming down from it just in time to see Jugheads eyes roll back and his shoulders shake. He slumped beside her, dragging her into his side and peppering kisses to her hair
“Thankyou, I love you. That was.. did I hurt you? Was it awful..” he trailed off suddenly stiffening as he tried to pull away.
Betty shook her head quickly, pulling him back down and nuzzling against his bare chest
“It was perfect. Absolutely perfect” she whispered and smiled when she felt him sigh in relief.
“Whatever you want me to do, I’ll do it. I won’t join the serpents, I’ll… I’ll figure something else out” his hands played with her sweaty strands.
Betty sighed softly
“You do what you have to do. I meant what I said, I love you Jughead, no matter what you are, I’m going to love you.” She turned her cheek to look at him and went breathless at the intense look of love in his eyes.
“Besides” she continued, a teasing smirk on her face “we’ll finally be the real Romeo and Juliet you’re always talking about” she giggled.
Jughead rolled his eyes, pulling the covers tighter around the couple
“Except no one dies, alright?.”
Betty yawned, slowly closing her eyes
“Deal” she whispered before both the love sick teens fell into their dreams.
A/N: I’m in Prague this week with a friend and I set this to upload on it’s own so hopefully it works. A little trigger warning towards the end. Requested to write a smut about
the videos of the boys playing billiard in Glasgow and using some vibes from There’s Nothing Holdin’
Me Back too.
Word count: 5,323
“I swear he’s looking at you again” Ollie grinned,
smiling at me widely. He put a couple of bottles with liquor back on their
place, not taking his friendly eyes of me.
“Who?” I asked, grabbing two more glasses from the
counter. I poured vodka in them both first, then some red bull before putting
ice in both glasses.
“The tall, dark-haired guy” he said, nodding in the
direction of the billiard tables in the other end of the bar.

Summary: After Hydra, Bucky became shyer than he ever was before. Until he meets someone even more bashful than he was. Could he help her rebuild her self-confidence? Make her believe she’s worth more than she thinks? And convince her he’s truly madly deeply in love with her?
Note: So this is a little something for @whotheeffisbucky who is having an especially hard time today. Know that you’ll always be loved for who you are!
Bucky was a new presence in the Stark Tower. He was a quiet soul and kept to himself mostly. After the civil war between the Avengers, he couldn’t help the guilt that bubbled in him every time his eyes met his now teammates.
He wasn’t the only one in the tower that mostly kept to themselves. (Y/N) has been in the team for a good year and the other Avengers still didn’t see much of her aside from during missions.
Quiet people seem to notice each other and the two often noticed each others presence and little quirks every time they were in the same room.
During briefing sessions, Bucky would notice (Y/N) fiddling with the corners of her shirt when the conversation was directed at her.
In turn, (Y/N) notices how Bucky’s eyes avert away from people and stare at the tabletop when anyone in the team seemed to ask him for his opinion.
As time passes, Bucky couldn’t help himself but have his gaze fleet over to (Y/N) anytime he was out in the common area. He noticed how she tries to hide, make herself as scarce as possible, almost trying to let her 3-size too large sweater swallow her as the Avengers team chat up a storm.
Bucky was used to having (Y/N)’s quiet presence around. She tried to make herself invisible but to Bucky, she was all he could see in the rowdy common room during movie night.
Today, though, Bucky couldn’t spot the girl. He was settled at the far end of the couch, his usual seat, where he could have a completely unobstructed view of the room, a habit from his days as a soldier.
As the clock hits 9 PM, Bucky couldn’t help the frown that appeared on his face. He knew that (Y/N) was a creature of habit. She may not be too sociable but she never missed a movie night, not since Bucky joined the team.
“(Y/N) isn’t here.” Bucky gruff voice sounded and the noisy room was suddenly plunged into a pin-drop silence.
Bucky’s voice was rare and surprised the group of heroes. Wanda snapped from her reverie quicker than the rest and cleared her throat.
“(Y/N) said she isn’t joining us tonight. She’s tired and wants to rest early.” the redhead said with slight disappointment.
Bucky grunted in response and his frown deepened as worry pooled at his stomach. The team didn’t miss the look he sported.
“I’m… I’m just going to go. Uhm, goodnight guys.” Bucky said softly, his voice deep with uneasiness.
Trudging his way to the living quarters of the tower, his shoulders were slumped. Steve attempted to stand up and go after his friend but was stopped by Natasha.
“Let him be, Cap. He isn’t going back to his room,” she said with a knowing smile. Only to be met with Steve’s look of confusion.
The soldier paced back and forth (Y/N)’s room, footsteps unusually loud considering his training.
“Would you like for me to inform Ms. (Y/N) of your arrival, Sergeant Barnes?” FRIDAY’s voice filled the silent corridor causing Bucky to jump.
“Uh, well, um, if you would please. yes, thank you?” Bucky replied, still not used to speaking into thin air.
He straightened himself and bit his lip, mind whirring at what to say to the lady when she opened the door.
As his mind went into an overdrive, the door cracked open slightly, (Y/N) face coming into view.
Surprised at having a visitor, (Y/N) was at a lost and remained quiet, her wide eyes staring at the shy man in front of her.
“Uhh, hi, hey. I’m Bucky. Uh, well, no, I mean I am Bucky but you know that.” Bucky blabbered on, the tips of his ear a bright pink.
A small laughter bubbled out of the girl before she could stop herself. At the sound of her chuckle, both of them stopped short.
“Hi, Bucky. Is there anything I can help you with?” her soft voice asked, eyes trained on Bucky, a concerned gleam reflecting in them.
“I’m just, well, I missed… I mean we missed you at movie night.” Bucky said, louder than he intended due to his embarrassment.
From then, the two formed quite a special friendship. Their silence, shyness and need to stay out sight bonded them in ways no one really understood.
It was from then that Bucky slowly understood why the girl was so quiet and reclusive even if she was working with the world’s rowdiest bunch of heroes.
She lived in her head more often than not and that bright mind would have all sorts of thought whirring through. And eventually, the only thought left swirling around her mind were negative ones.
Her confidence crumbled as her thoughts got louder. She started questioning her looks, her abilities, her everything. And eventually she was so overwhelmed, she kept to herself and her thoughts.
Bucky was no stranger to gloomy thoughts. He had them regardless if he was awake or asleep. It was a fact the team knew. He understood how suffocating it could be to have your mind controlling your emotions.
The duo was lounging in the common room, books in hand as they sat together, shoulders bumping.
(Y/N) found solace in having Bucky around. It was almost as if her thoughts were on pause, and it was just Bucky and her.
“Doll?” Bucky called out, nudging her.
Without glancing away from her book, (Y/N) let out a small sound to acknowledge him.
“You’re beautiful you know?” Bucky said with a small contented sigh as he placed his head on her shoulder. Bucky was a man of few words after Hydra, he didn’t know how to make (Y/N) understand how he saw her, other than simply putting them in the most straightforward words.
The girl was caught off guard, her face flushing without control.
From then on, Bucky made it his mission to show (Y/N) just how perfect she was. If she couldn’t see it, Bucky would show her, he thought.
In the early mornings, he’d always compliment her wonderful cooking skills. If she wore her hair up, she was beautiful, if she wore her hair down, she was beautiful.
She could be wearing an oversized sweater and mismatched lounge pants and Bucky thought she was the most amazing girl he’s laid eyes on.
Bucky thought she was the most beautiful make-up free, a small contented smile on her lips, wearing her favorite shirt from Bucky as she talked animatedly about the latest book she read. And he’d tell her that, never missing an opportunity to let her know she’s perfect just the way she is.
With time, (Y/N) started accepting the compliments given to her. It was a good step forward. Until she walked into the meeting room that day.
Stepping into the room, she shifted her eyes to her usual seat next to Bucky and realized it was taken.
She wouldn’t have minded sitting elsewhere if it wasn’t that the girl sitting on the seat was the prettiest SHIELD agent (Y/N) has met.
Seeing Bucky and her talking animatedly, her self-esteem plummeted to nothingness and she bit back a sob, turned around and made her way out. She’ll explain to Steve later on as to why she missed the meeting.
What she needed now was her room, her bed, her own space.
Bucky noticed (Y/N) immediately when she walked into the crowded room. Confusion was etched on his face when she saw her face crumple as she turned and made her way out.
Without excusing himself from the agent speaking to him, ignoring Steve’s questions, he hurried out of the meeting room.
The more he thought, the more unsettled he got. Bucky broke into a run and disregarded taking the elevator.
Running up 3 floors, Bucky reached (Y/N)’s door and immediately heard sobbing from inside. His heart broke at her whimpers and immediately entered the passcode her knew by heart.
He took only 3 steps getting to her bedside, he pulled the girl towards him and hid her in his embrace.
“Doll?” his gruff voice laced with so much concern even (Y/N)’s heart constricted at the sound.
“What’s wrong?” he questioned further at her lack of reply.
Bucky pulled her lightly off his chest, now drenched in her tears. He took one look at her and cupped her face with his wide hands.
“What’s wrong beautiful? Talk to me.” he pleaded, eyes desperate for her to say something, anything.
“I’m sorry.” her voice was tired and soft.
“Why are you sorry sweetheart?” his confusion evident.
“I just, when I saw you with her, I just couldn’t help myself but see all my flaws. And what I don’t have or have too much that she doesn’t. She’s perfect. And I’m me.” (Y/N) whispered out.
“Oh, doll… Are you talking about whoever was sitting on your seat earlier?” Bucky asked.
She nodded lightly, her face now buried in his broad chest, seeking some form of comfort.
“I’m sorry doll. I should’ve stopped her from sitting at your seat but I was looking for you and didn’t notice when she sat down,” he explained.
Before (Y/N) could reply, he pulled the girl by her waist, hoisting her up onto his lap, his arms locking behind her to keep her in place.
“Now doll, everyone has flaws. I do. Steve does. So do Nat and Tony. I have metal for an arm, I’ve had my mind messed with most of my life and I still struggle from nightmares at 102. But our flaws are what makes us, us. And to me, everything about you, including your flaws, are perfect. Because it’s what makes you (Y/N).” Bucky said, his eyes never leaving her.
He moved a hand from her waist to her face, softly wiping away a stray tear.
“I love you (Y/N).” he confessed softly.
“I really mean it. You’re beautiful even if you can’t see it. I can’t see myself as anything other than a murderer, but you see past that. You see James Buchanan Barnes, the man with flaws. But you still think I’m wonderful. So here I am, to remind you, that I see you, (Y/N) flaws and all. And I think you’re beautiful.” he whispered to her, as he landed a kiss on her lips.
Comments of any form are always much appreciated! Everyone is beautiful in your own way and if ti so happens to be one of those days where you can’t seem to find the beautiful in you, I hope this piece reminds all of you that you are wonderful and loved!

I love playing Cheryl, it’s always something fun, new and exciting. My favourite parts about Cheryl are all her layers. She may be the villain, but she’s also so emotional and really just young, insecure and trying to find herself while hiding behind this curtain. Meanwhile trying to cope with the loss of her only ally (Jason) and now being stuck in a home alone with her parents who don’t love her or care about her. She’s so complex and has some of the best sassy one-liners.
A/N: I’M BACK… and so soon as well. Enjoy, beautiful (yes, I’m talking to you).
Hi honey ! <3 I was wondering if you could write an imagine, where Jughead always sees a little girl in Pop’s, she eats ice cream or drink milkshakes after school, and she is really talkatvive, annoys him a lot, but she reminds him so much of Jellybean so he never was mean to her, only in playful way, and when he find out, that she has a cute older sister at his age (reader) he likes her even more ? ^^

Head cannon: kim being jealous cause now that Trini is out in school (assuming she did that) girls are hitting on her and she can't do anything because they're not dating (just acts overprotective), so onetime she does and Trini is like relax dude I'm totally into you.
Ignore the fact that I’ve never actually felt jealousy lmao.
Listen, she’s happy for Trini. Kim’s so glad that Trini was ready to come out, that she’s no longer feeling the need to hide that part of herself. Honestly, Kimberly is absolutely delighted about that.
The problem, though, is that now every wlw is hitting on Trini. At first, Kim brushed her annoyance and intense need to tell them to fuck off as simply looking out for her fellow Power Ranger. Of course, such a lie can only last for so long.
Usually, all Kim lets herself do is be…slightly overprotective. She’ll walk in on some girl flirting with Trini and she’ll say some shit like, “Oh, hey, Trini! Jessica, how nice to see you. Weren’t you supposed to meet Jake earlier? He’s looking for you.”
And, honestly, it’s pretty pathetic, but at the very least, it works. Most of the time, all Trini will do is quirk an eyebrow so Kim likes to think she’s being subtle about it.
One day, though, Kim can’t take it. Trini spends the entire day at school surrounded by beautiful, and most importantly, sapphic women. There’s no way she could get them to leave without being overtly suspicious and so Kim spends the entire day stewing in her annoyance and wallowing over her situation.
When the bell rings and the two of them are walking to the spaceship to train—Trini finally without her gaggle of annoyingly dumb fangirls—Kim explodes.
So I get really narky when people pull the whole ‘oh Eowyn’s
storyline came to such a sucky ending; she was really cool going around killing
orcs and Witch-Kings and then she got shoved into a traditional girly role by marrying
Faramir and becoming a healer’ thing, because no. No-no-no-no-no. Not only does that
stray dangerously into the territory of ‘women only have worth if they’re doing
traditionally blokey things’, but that misses almost the entire point of Lord of the Rings.
Tolkien was in the trenches in the first world war, right?
He got all that ‘for death and glory’ shit shoved down his throat, that was the
whole point about the war, it was when so many people came to see how awful and
misleading all the propaganda about winning glory through violence and death was. And Tolkien’s work completely shows
that: it’s why the hobbits, who’ve never craved power or battle the way men do,
are the heroes of the book; it’s
why strong men like Aragorn and Faramir are shown to be lovers of peace rather
than war. It’s why the quote - but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for
its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory; I love only that which they
defend – is so poignant and beautiful, when
seen in the context of all Tolkien had gone through. He’d seen all but one of
his closest friends die in an utterly pointless war; the prevalent message in
his books is ‘if you’re going to have that many people die, let it be for
something worth dying for.’ (Like
defending your home from the lord of all darkness, for example.)
might be a fantastic female character, but she’s also got so much development
to go through, and she’s by no means perfect. I find it really interesting that when Eowyn talks to Aragorn
about wanting to go off and fight she never really actually mentions protecting
her people, but speaks about wanting to ‘face peril and battle’, and to
do ‘great deeds’. And it’s not that Eowyn doesn’t want to protect her people, because of course she does, but she’s also got such a
driving motivation within her to do glorious and fell deeds simply for the sake
of valour and renown. It’s one of her defining features, having an attitude
that got so many young men killed in the war and which, obviously, Tolkien
would have been very wary of.
(Also, I think, there’s so much in Eowyn that wants to prove
herself to be more than ‘a mere woman’; because twice in that conversation she
asserts that she’s no mere ‘dry-nurse’ or ‘serving-woman’, but a member of the
house of Eorl and therefore capable of greater things. There’s almost this
slight sense of Eowyn considering herself more than ‘just’ a domesticated woman that I
sometimes get from her in the books? Which is very sad - the idea of Eowyn having less regard for others of her sex who do mind the house or raise the children - and why I so love that ‘I am no man’ moment in RotK. Eowyn’s no longer hiding herself, or dismissing fellow women as the weaker sex,
but acknowledging and embracing the fact that women in all their forms can fuck you up.)
And then we reach
the Houses of Healing, and Eowyn yearning for death in battle just like her
Uncle Theoden, and basically buying into that whole world war one ethos that
Tolkien would have considered so poisonous. Which is why her friendship and
courtship with Faramir is so fricking beautiful.
Remember that quote I wrote earlier? That’s from Faramir. He’s not backing down
from conflict, he’s in no way less of a ‘real man’ than anyone else; he’s just
saying there needs to be more to the fight than simply having a fight. There needs to be a reason; something worth
fighting for. Eowyn recognises that Faramir is a good man in every sense of the
word: he’s strong and valiant, but he doesn’t fight simply to prove himself or
for the sake of winning glory, he fights for other people. And Faramir gently challenges Eowyn on her
idolisation of battle-glory and encourages her not to scorn gentleness or
peace, and he’s so freaking good for her.
(Seriously. Can we just stop for a moment and think about how
wonderful Eowyn and Faramir are for each other: Faramir encouraging Eowyn to
turn towards life and healing and openness while never denying her strength or courage, and Eowyn giving Faramir the
validation and security he never got after so many years of an awful
relationship with his father? I honestly don’t know why I don’t get all giddy
about these two more often, because they make the very best otp.)
And the result of the departure of the Shadow and her
friendship with Faramir is Eowyn’s decision that ‘I will be a shieldmaiden no longer, nor vie with the great Riders, nor take joy only in the songs of slaying. I
will be a healer, and love all things that grow and are not barren.’
I think that last bit is so important because I’m certain
that Tolkien doesn’t mean for Eowyn to immediately pack up her sword and shield
and become a good girl sitting at home with her knitting and waiting for the
men to return home after the fight – after all, she’s going to be the wife of
the Steward of Gondor and there’s a lot of mess to clean up after the War of
the Ring. Eowyn’s probably still going to find herself defending hearth and
home from time to time. But the important thing is that she’s no longer
defining herself simply by the doing of valiant deeds; she’ll no longer compare
herself to the great warriors of her house and feel lacking simply because she
hasn’t killed as many men. Most importantly, she’s not going to take joy only in the songs of the slaying, in
destruction and death. Tolkien was all about healers symbolising life and
rebirth, and Eowyn’s decision to become one – to aid in the preservation of
life rather than the taking of it – is so beautiful. I don’t think Tolkien ever
wrote Eowyn’s ending to make her reclaim her ‘lost femininity’; I think it’s a
lovely way of adding to the ever-present theme in Lord of the Rings of hope and
frailty and healing and friendship over glory and battle and strife.
Azula is one of the most fascinating and complex villains in children’s media, or indeed in any media. She is both abuser and victim, both deeply cruel and deeply afraid. Often, discussion of her breaks into two camps, either she was born the way she is, or that she was abused, and she was made into the character we see onscreen by that abuse. Either she is a “psychopath” (an outdated term that has been widely misunderstood and keeps shifting in meaning), and she was born the way she is, and she either wasn’t abused, or abuse didn’t affect her, or she was abused, and how she was raised made her into who she is. I don’t think either of those positions are correct. There is no code that says that predators don’t abuse other predators, and there is nothing in the world that makes abuse magically not damaging. I have spent a great deal of time figuring out what makes this character tick, and what made her stop ticking at the end. So how did nurture and nature come together to make Azula? Bear with me, it’s a bit of a story.
Time to get this post out before I die hyperventilating into my “Raven Reyes” paper bag because I honestly don’t know how to deal with her anymore, but here we go. You know that moment when Raven breaks down in front of her friends and how Bellamy then calmly speaks to her to build her up again?
I didn’t know how much I needed that type of scene until I saw it to be honest - I was fully unprepared let me tell yall lmao - but now that I’ve seen it and have witnessed in which context it unfolded itself it’s honestly become one of my favorite moments in the episode, because Raven gains back her strength through the presence of all her friends in that one minute of total weakness.
Like, the writers really do love to rough it up for our characters during very critical situations, but in this particular case it’s very touching because it’s seriously not a moment created for the kicks, but the kind of moment that wants to make room for “optimism” that brings this wild set of characters even closer.
And I love how we dial down through the stress there, especially when focusing on Raven, because her breaking point is the catalyst for the unity. I absolutely could go on and on about how significant that short conversation between Bellamy and Raven is for me alone, as he inspire her the same way he inspires Clarke or the others, but I am even more affected by the fact that Raven truly isn’t able to hide herself anymore, but, as I’ve said above, works herself out of her own insecurities with the help of her friends and gains back her strength.
I mean, just look at this moment when she gradually starts to snap while standing in the middle with everyone surrounding her, watching her:
Or how she ends up so bound and buried deep inside her own fears that all she feels she can do is sit down and hate the situation she finds herself in:
It hurts and GOD I love it here, because Raven’s feelings carry the kind of realism that many can relate to, she hates failing and she hates not being able to pull things off so she puts distance between her and the issue by practically giving up. But the point of this scene as a whole is not that Raven isn’t smart enough - as she states - because she got rid of ALIE’s code in her brain. We are actually past that already. What this scene communicates on a fundamental level is that Raven comes to realize that she is not alone in this.
In fact, all of her friends are by her side:
The “We need you” line is so important for Raven (and me obviously), because it creates a very dramatic call-back to that one time when she wanted to leave camp in season one. You know that time when Finn - the boy she loved and pretty much considered her only family - couldn’t even see why she was doing certain things (like working on the bullets) and how useless she felt because of that reaction she got from him - essentially tried to shut herself completely off from everyone around her, because they, as she believed, didn’t *need* her. Bellamy though, our heart’s guy, is the one who reminds her that they do need her with intense honesty, twice - back in season one after her confrontation with Finn and now in 4x13 when she believes she is not enough.
Being faced with the full array of cards against you is one thing, Raven has been through that ever since she landed on the ground, especially thanks to Finn and how their relationship changed on earth, but actually coming to consciously develop a sense of “team culture” through emotional connection with her friends is something else for her since Raven used to have only one person to turn to and that person failed her back then. Bellamy does what Sinclair used to do. He doesn’t simply apply to Raven’s ego, instead the writer’s manage to open up a path to her heart through faith, love and understanding.
And that pushes her forward. That love she receives from Clarke, from Bellamy, hell even Murphy (4x09), that is the game changer for her in this moment. Raven loving herself and the things she’s capable of doing is otherworldly, but expanding that love and stretching it out over this little group of messy people - that’s what she really wants, not just for herself but for everyone in this lab:
So Raven goes for it. Through the presence of her friends
she not only learns as much about having people to rely on and consider a family as she can, and resolves to continue operating in a way that not only shakes everyone free - which essentially creates this sense of teamwork because there is unwavering trust radiating from every important team player here and if ALIE, a computer, can do it, so can they - but it also makes her a leader in her own right.
She’s prepared to face these obstacles with them just in time, as she’s confronted
with a more mature set of challenges with her friends - the emotional progression - and inspire everyone in the room to get back to work.
And it’s beautiful. In season one she came down for a single person, now in season four she goes up and back to space with and for all of her friends.
She’s more than just an awesome person. She’s a growing,
dynamically self-improving one, someone who is able to establish these deep connections with all of these people, who can navigate and bring in optimism as well as pragmatism, who is still in the process of learning, and will only
get better at doing what she does - not just by herself, but with her friends, her family.
