“Smoke on the Water” by David Gilmour, et al. (Deep Purple cover)

We all came out to Montreux
On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile
We didn’t have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers
Were at the best place around
But some stupid with a flare gun
Burned the place to the ground

A really cool thing happened in the late 80′s - David Gilmour, Brian May, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan, and Bruce Dickinson (and others) got together to record a few versions of THE Deep Purple song to benefit victims of the earthquake in Armenia.

When I was a kid, I had an imaginary friend. The raggedy Doctor. My raggedy Doctor. But he wasn’t imaginary. He was real. I remember you! I remember! I brought the others back, I can bring you home, too. Raggedy man, I remember you, and you are late for my wedding! I found you. I found you in words, like you knew I would. That’s why you told me the story - the brand new, ancient blue box. Oh, clever. Very clever. Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue. OK, Doctor. Did I surprise you this time? Er, yeah. Completely astonished. Never expected that.

Moffat Appreciation Week: Series 5

‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2′ had it’s first test screening and managed an extremely rare perfect 100/100 score. This is the highest an MCU movie has ever scored in a test screening. Test screenings are conducted in order to gauge audience reaction to the movie. In this case, it seems like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ is excellent on all counts!
