Imagine cuddling up on the couch with Tom. The series finale of your favorite show is on, and he’s watching with you for emotional support. Every time you start to cry, he kisses you on the forehead, and pulls you just a little bit closer.
Ugh I hate fanfic though.;___; I literally never ever ever find GOOD fanfic. I can only ever seem to find cringey awful stuff that ruins the thing I like. I tried to find Only Lovers Left Alive fanfic once because I just so badly needed more and… no. nonono absolutely not.
Believe me, I’m sure there IS good fanfic out there, I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, but its too much of a pain to find T^T
I think that’s true of all cinema, that’s why cinema is the great humanistic art form. Whatever the film is, it doesn’t matter what the film is about, or even whether it’s a narrative or figurative film at all, it’s an invitation to step into somebody else’s shoes. Even if it’s the filmmaker’s shoes filming a landscape, you go into somebody else’s shoes and you look out of their lens, you look out of their eyes and their imagination. That’s what going to the pictures is all about.
