When I was certain he was going to kill me, my mind went blank, and I didn’t have any hope anymore. And the only thing I could do was scream my lungs out. I felt so helpless, I couldn’t even bring myself to believe someone might save me. Then you showed up, Al. And I realized that if we don’t take care of each other, no one else will. So I’ll do anything in my power to get our bodies back, even if it means being the military’s lapdog. And we’ll just have to hope our powers are good enough to help us rise above our own limits. ‘Cause we’re not gods. We’re humans. Tiny, insignificant humans…who couldn’t even save a little girl

I remember when I was watching the anime many people warned me about the ending being horrible. I actually really, really loved it. It was kind of poetic too we’ve been repeatedly hearing the equivalent exchange speech and now it has been changed to the moral of the story. It’s not the ending I wanted the characters I wanted to live in the end died, and the brothers didn’t end up together. I don’t know I had a smile on my face in the ending the fact it gave me hope. If Conqueror of Shamballa didn’t exist (which would be a pity cause I adore that movie) I still wouldn’t be worried over these brothers. They’ve been through the impossible, and I know they would again do the impossible to see each other, again. The ending gave me hope I guess it’s one of the reasons I love FMA for its theme of hope no matter how dark things got the brothers always got through.
↳ The power of one man doesn’t amount to much. But, however little strength I’m capable of, I’ll do everything humanly possible to protect the people I love, and in turn they’ll protect the ones they love. It seems like the least we tiny humans can do for each other.
