SO let's talk about APH Taiwan...
…and the date February 28.
Why is that date so special to Taiwan?
Well, we have the day off in Taiwan (Peace Memorial Day, it’s called) because of what is known as the 228 Incident or the 228 Massacre.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, massacre?
Yes, it sounds very bloody and violent, doesn’t it? Because it is, and it is tragic and what I see as a significant part of APH Taiwan. You would probably be confused if I jumped right into my headcanons and feelings about her without giving you a short history lesson, so here we go:
- The 228 Incident began on February 27th of 1947, two years after Taiwan was handed back to China (Republic of China).
