*embraces you guys*

So, I read this absolutely DELIGHTFUL LoZ OoT series by  BetterBeMeta which I loved (Gerudo ladies! Zelda being a punk 12-year-old! Fixing the issue of the only dark-skinned dude in the game being declared unambiguously evil!).

The end of the lil’ coda-sequel made me cackle and involved Ganondorf scooping Zelda up ‘to perch on his shoulder like a finch’ and that image was TOO CUTE. Also there’s the implication that he’s going to teach her to be very sneakily seditious and not get in trouble next time and I just.

I really wish there was more, but as it is, I’m delighted and needed to Draw A Thing because authors who make me giggle myself out of the grumps deserve fanart.

I believed that I had a led quite a normal life, you know, besides being a ‘princess’ but that was besides the point. My parents had hidden me from the spotlight; they saw how my brother suffered and didn’t want me to have to experience the same thing. People would throw themselves at him, left, right and centre; it looked ever so uncomfortable, he never leaves his home now, too scared to make a move and one move could be the end of his image.

I on the other hand lived as normally as possible, of course, once every now and then I had to dress up and act like the role I was assigned at birth but most days I was just me, a uni student, nothing special and I liked it that way. It was comfortable and safe.

“Hey, ___. Jimin’s throwing a party tomorrow, wanna come?” Hazel asked me as she threw off her unnecessarily big coat. “Yeah, I’ll come, if you don’t appear with that thing.” “What’s wrong with it?” she asked me, disbelief in her eyes, as if I had just killed her whole family. “It’s the middle of summer and you look like you’re ready to hibernate. Wear something a little less warm tomorrow, will you?” I joked as I hung the big coat up. “I will, I just wanted to feel fancy and royal on campus, you know like you on the weekend.” “Dude, I’m not royal on the weekend.” I laughed at her ridiculous comment, of course she know that I was royal, the two of us had grown up together, so she knew all of my secrets. She was shocked when I told her I was going to live with her in uni; she made this whole fuss, it was quite funny to watch her.

“Okay, sorry, your Highness.” she sarcastically called from the kitchen. “Make me a sandwich as well, will you?” “Your wish is my command, your Highness.” “Fuck you!” I said as I entered the kitchen to pour Hazel and myself some ice tea. “So, who’s going to the party?” I asked Hazel as she spread butter on the slice of bread. “Apparently, Jimin’s invited everyone and there’s someone he wants us to meet, I forgot his name but he’s quite chill apparently. A bit strange at times but a nice guy. That’s what I’ve heard anyway.” she told me as she put her finishing touches on the sandwiches. “I can’t wait to see who this mysterious guy is.” I joked as I took the cups into the living room and placed them on the coffee table. “If he’s hot, would you date him?” she asked as she placed my sandwich plate in front of me.

“You know I’m not looking to date.” I told her, before I took a bite out of her sandwich. “But what about a fling? You’ve had those, right?” she asked me. “I’ve not touched a soul.” I laughed as I switched the TV on. “You haven’t done anything, with anyone? Not even kiss? I thought you would have had some secret fling that you were keeping from me but you’re so honest with me that I know nothing’s happened.” she pouted as she flipped through the channels. “If he’s nice I guess I’d give him a shot, but not long term. You know what my parents are planning, I’ve agreed to it already.” I said as I rolled my eyes at the thought of marrying someone I didn’t know. “You trust them, right? They’ll hook you up with someone who’s good for you, he’ll treat you well and if he does lay a finger on you, he’ll catch these fists.” she joked as she pulled me into her body for an embrace.

Heyyy can you write a fluffy piece where betty surprises jug on his birthday and they spend the day together :D (Isn't his birthday coming up in the show) Thank you!

Hey, I hope you like this!

This is a little AU in the fact that Archie is totally okay with Bughead (since we don’t know how he feels about that yet).

Here we go. HUGE shout-out to @tewgrunge because she basically came up with everything.

Birthday Surprise

Betty and Archie had gone over the plan several times - Jughead was going to spend the day with Archie and Fred Andrews. Fred was going to let them sleep in, cook them breakfast (aka his special Peanut Butter Banana Pancakes at noon), then Jughead would open his presents from Fred and Archie. He and Archie would spend a few more hours together, then Archie would make sure Jughead was outside of Pop’s Choklit Shoppe at 5:30 sharp.

Betty smoothed her floral print dress over her torso, hooked her purse over her shoulder, and made her way out her front door.

She made her way to Pop’s, ushering her surprise guests into a booth at the back. She made sure they were comfortable, then went back outside to meet Jughead at the doors.

At exactly 5:30, Jughead strolled up in front of Betty. She smiled, then quickly stood behind him and covered his eyes with her hands. “No peeking.”  She murmured.

Jughead laughed. “Bets, it’s Pop’s. Plus you can barely reach my eyes.”

“You shush,” Betty smiled. “Just walk.”

“Yes ma’am.” Jughead laughed again and walked toward the entrance.

“Open the door, right in front of you,” Betty guided from behind.

Jughead opened the door, walked a few steps, then paused, waiting for Betty to direct him again.

She had him turn to the right, take a few steps, then pause.

“Okay,” She murmured, taking her eyes off his eyes. “Surprise.”

Jughead’s eyes narrowed in on the booth at the back. “Mom?” He said in awe. “Jellybean?!”

“Juggie!” Jellybean cried happily from the booth, running to hug her big brother.

“Heya,  Jel,” Jughead murmured, smoothing his little sisters hair back as he embraced her.

“What are you guys doing here?” Jughead said happily, guiding his sister and girlfriend over to the booth.

“Well,” His mom smiled. “Your girlfriend here reached out to us. Seeing you on your birthday is important, honey.”

Jughead slid in across from his mom, gripping her hand as he did so.

The four of them ordered their food, catching up and laughing the entire time.

“How long are you staying?” Jughead asked, mid-bite of his burger.

“We have a room at Sweetwater Inn for the night. You can spend tonight with Betty and all day with J.B. and me tomorrow. Betty and I arranged it,” Gladys laughed.

When Gladys was finished eating, she tried to wave Pop Tate over to pay.

Betty shook her head. “It’s been taken care of,” She smiled weakly.

“What do you mean?”

“It’s been taken care of,” Betty laughed. “You came all the way down here. It’s the least I could do.”

Mrs. Jones knew there was no use arguing - Betty was obviously smart enough to pay ahead of time.

Jughead said his goodbyes to Gladys and Jellybean, promising his little sister he’d see her in just a few hours.

Betty kissed Jughead on the cheek, taking the last sip of her milkshake as she slid out of the booth.

“I left a book I need at school, will you walk with me?”

“Of course,” Jughead smiled, grabbing Betty’s hand as they left Pop’s.

“So where’s this book?” Jughead murmured as they ambled the halls of the school.

“Just in here,” Betty answered, pointing towards the office of The Blue and Gold.

Jughead smiled, grabbing Betty’s hand and pulling her into the room, flicking on the light.

There were black, blue and gold streamers intertwined throughout the room, balloons in each corner, and a stack of cupcakes on Jughead’s work space.

“How did you get this?” Jughead gasped as he saw the old projector from the Drive-In stationed in the middle of the room.

Betty shrugged. “I begged Mayor McCoy.” She smiled.

Jughead saw pillows propped on the floor, a wrapped present in the center of a blanket.

“What movie do you have set up for us?” Jughead smiled, embracing Betty.

“Harry Potter.”

Jughead burst out laughing.

“What!” Betty protested.

Jughead kissed the tip of her nose. “Nothing, nothing! I’m excited, I love Harry Potter. I just… wasn’t expecting Harry Potter.”

Betty tried to look mad. “You better not be making fun of me,” She smiled.

Jughead shook his head. “Never,” He kissed her lips gently, then plopped down on the blanket. “Can I open my present now?”

Betty nodded, sitting next to him.  Jughead gently took off the bow and stuck it to Betty’s head, then ripped the paper off.

Jughead held the books in his hands.

“It’s a signed limited-edition copy from 1948.” Betty explained. “It’s two volumes.” She murmured, noticing Jughead hadn’t said a word yet. “Crime and Punishment. It’s your favorite book, right?”

Jughead nodded. “Betty this must have cost you a fortune.”

Betty shook her head, blushing. “No, not a fortune. I got a deal. Really, Jughead.” She inched closer to him, touching his arm. “I know that you’ve never really… gotten presents. I just wanted to make your birthday special. Do you like it?”

Jughead opened the book, a card slipping out.

‘Happy Birthday, Jughead.

“Oh, I almost forgot.” Betty said, reaching behind her for her purse. “This is from my parents.” She handed him a gift certificate for Pop’s.

“This is too much, Bets.” Jughead whispered, setting the book down.

Betty shook her head slightly. “Jughead you deserve the entire world.”

Jughead slowly caressed Betty’s cheek, pulling her into a kiss. “Thank you,” He whispered.

“You’re welcome,” She smiled. “Now, you’ll have to put the movie on because I have no idea how to work that machine.”

Jughead laughed and got to his feet, sliding things into place and pressing the correct buttons.

He got back on the floor with Betty and put his arm around her, pulling her closer.

“Mm?” She murmured.

“This is the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

Birthday Surprise

Word Count: 1457

You sat on the couch in the living room of your flat, grabbing for the remote as Netflix was asking if you were still watching. Yeah, you had been watching for that long. You had already finished all the seasons of your favorite show, so now you were going back through them again. It was an easy distraction from the ache of missing Conor.

Conor was currently on tour promoting his second album. It was the European leg of the world tour, and he was in Paris tonight. You missed him terribly. He tried to call and text as often as he could, but you understood that he was busy with interviews, appearances and performances.

So you distracted yourself by watching Netflix on the weekends. The weeks went by easier because you could put all of your attention to working, and stay late at the office to minimize the time you would have to be alone in the empty flat.

You finally retired to your bed and checked your phone one last time from your bed. You hadn’t heard from Conor since the night before so you sent him a quick text saying good night and that you loved him. You shut off the light and somehow managed to fall asleep with the spot next to you empty.

The next morning you woke up and went to the gym, and went shopping for some groceries. Around noon time Jack texted, asking if you had any plans for your birthday that was coming up next Saturday.

You replied that you didn’t, all your good friends were at Uni hours away from London. Jack texted back, telling you not to make plans and that he would plan something great, because after all he was the ‘Party God.’

Your week went on as usual, working mostly and texting Conor when he had time.

Friday rolled around and your parents drove up from your hometown with your younger brother and sister. You were glad to see your everyone and catch up, as your siblings filled you in about their schooling and your parents about other relatives and work. You finished off the evening with a cake that your mother had baked and coffee back at your flat.

“It sure is quiet here without Conor,” your younger brother stated. Conor and him got along very well, your brother thought anything Conor did was hilarious, as did you sister.

You gave him a sad smile at the comment and finished your piece of cake.

After your family insisted you open the presents they got you, you said your goodbyes and walked them down to the car. Your father pulled out a set of keys and the lights flashed on an white sporty convertible that was parked next to your family’s car.

“Dad, how do you have the keys to that car?” You asked.

“Because I bought it,” he replied with a smile.

“Why would you do that? You and mum already have cars?”

Your sister then interrupted, “It’s for you idiot!”

“What?” You questioned your parents.

You parents shared a look, and smiled at you, “We know that you’ve been saving for a new car so we thought this might work,” your mother explained.

Tears welled in your eyes as emotions suddenly flooded your body. Tears of sadness and happiness ran down your face as you embraced your parents. “Thank you guys so much.”

“We thought it might cheer you up a bit too,” your father said, “you shouldn’t stay locked in your flat all the time, maybe you can drive home some weekends to see us.”

You nodded your head and thanked them again. They soon got in the car and drove off.

Conor had some free time that night so you were on FaceTime with him.

“How was the show tonight?” You asked him.

“It was amazing, Y/N, the energy from the crowd is insane. They know all the words to the songs too, they sing along and I feel like I’m on top of the world,” you couldn’t help but smile as he explained everything that happened during the concert.

“How was your night? Did you parents come ‘round?” He asked.

“Yeah they did, we went out for dinner, you won’t believe it, they got me a new car too.”

“Wow, really? That’s nice, is it that one you were saving up for?”

“No, it’s some convertible, I can’t wait for you to drive me around in it all the time,” you joked. He always claimed that he was a better driver than you so you always let him drive you around.

He laughed, but his smile soon faded, “I can’t wait for that either. I miss you so much Y/N.”

The conversation shifted as you felt yourself getting teary eyed again, “I miss you too Con,” you said softly.

“Jack texted me that he’s planning some big outing for tomorrow,” Conor said, trying to change the subject.

“Yeah, apparently he’s a ‘Party God’ now,” you said putting air quotes up.

“I’m sure you’ll have fun, he is the life of the party.”

“It won’t be the same without you.”

“I know, Y/N. It’s soon now, only a few more weeks.”

It was getting late and you could see Conor’s eyes starting to shut, as the adrenaline from the concert was wearing off.

“I’ll let you go to bed Con.”

His eyes widened as if he was trying to force himself to stay awake, “just one more minute, it’s nearly your birthday babe.”

As the 60 seconds passed he cheered, then sung you a beautiful version of ‘Happy Birthday.’

“I love you so much Y/N.”

“I love you too Conor.”

And with that you said one last goodbye and exited FaceTime, missing your boyfriend more than ever as you tried to fall asleep.

You woke up to a few texts from Jack, informing you of when to be ready for the party and what the dress code was. You decided to treat yourself today, as it was your birthday. You were excited to drive the new car, and the weather was decent enough to have the top down. You went to get your nails done and your hair freshly highlighted and styled for tonight. You saw a pair of heels in a shop as you were passing by, and your dress for tonight would go perfectly with them, so you decided to splurge on them too.

You had done your makeup and slipped into a dress and heels, finally ready for Jack to arrive to pick you up. He texted that he was downstairs and you went down to meet him.

“Happy Birthday Y/N!” Jack shouted as he got out of the Uber, giving you a hug.

“Thanks Jack!” He ushered you into the Uber.

“We’re going to a restaurant first, then a nice place for drinks after, and maybe a club if you’re up for it.”

He then got out his vlogging camera and told his audience the plan as well.

The two of you soon arrived at one of your and Conor’s favorite restaurants in London, and you tried to keep a smile on your face as your thoughts were flooded with Conor.

Caspar, his girlfriend, Joe, Oli, Mikey and Josh were waiting at the table for the two of you to arrive. They all greeted you with a chorus of  “Happy Birthday’s” and you went around to hug all of them. You were glad they were all here to help you celebrate.

You all had a lovely meal and were enjoying yourselfs. Jack had convinced you to take a few birthday shots, and you were feeling better with the small amount of alcohol in you.

Suddenly, the waiters came over to your table with a large cake and sparkling candles, singing Happy Birthday. As the song came to an end, Jack repeatedly told you to make a wish as you blew out the candles. Everyone cheered as you blew them out in one breath.

“Nice Y/N! What did you wish for?” Jack questioned.

“Jack, if I tell you it won’t come true,” you reminded.

“Come on, tell the vlog,” he said, pointing his camera in your face, “the people want to know.”

You smiled, giving him a look, “I wished that Conor would come home.”

“Good thing you wished for me or this would have just been awkward,” a voice came from behind you.

You whipped around in your seat to see Conor standing behind you. You leapt out of the chair and into his arms.

“I missed you so much,” you whispered to him.

“I know, I’m here now,” he said as he pulled you in for a kiss.

Until the End (Pippa X Reader)

Words: 1782

Summary: You get some difficult news and live your final days

Warnings: Potentially horrible writing, ANGST

“I’m very sorry,” the doctor said as he stood in front of you with a solemn face. You felt your stomach drop. You looked around the room, trying to find something to concentrate on as your world seemed to fall apart. Your gaze landed on the clock on the wall.

“I need to get to work,” You said quietly, seeming to stumble over your words. He nodded and set up your next appointment before you made your way to the Richard Rodgers Theater.

Your eyes were glued to the ground as you walked down the streets of New York. You had always wanted to do something meaningful with your life. Yes, you got your roles on Broadway. You got your role in Hamilton. You met the love of your life. But, that’s just it. There was still so much to do. So many things to do. And, you seemed to be running out of time.

God, there was so much. So many roles. So many things you could do. So many things you wanted to do. Your stomach fell more and more as fear crept upon you. You’d be playing your last show as Angelica soon. You’d be saying goodbye to so many so soon. You’d never be able to play another role. You’d never be able to have kids. Hell, you’d never be able to get married. Oh god. What would Pippa say?

Your gaze set upon the sign for the theater and your heart broke. You walked to the entrance and made your way backstage.

“Hey (Y/N)!” Daveed said as he and Oak walked by. You smiled in response, afraid of what would happen if you tried to speak. You greeted the rest of the company, trying to be as cheerful as you could. You made your way down to the dressing room you shared with Pippa and Jasmine.

As you stepped inside, you recognized the voice of Renee accompanying theirs.

“Hey (Y/N)!” Jasmine greeted from the couch where her and Renee sat. Pippa got up and trapped you in an embrace.

“Hey guys,” You said with a weak smile, about to start crying in your girlfriend’s arms. Pippa’s eyebrows furrowed as she looked at you with her eyes almost asking you “what’s wrong?” You gave her a small nod as if to say that you’d explain later. You gave Renee and Jasmine.

“So, Renee, what brings you back?” You said trying to distract yourself.

“Oh no reason in particular. Alexis agreed to take the kids out tonight so that I could watch my favorite sisters perform.”

Their conversation continue as your heart panged. It wouldn’t be much more time until you couldn’t perform along their sides. You looked around the dressing room, almost trying to memorize how it looked. Pippa sat down next to you and placed her hand on your knee, similar to how the doctor had done not too long prior. You turned to her and buried your head into her shoulder.

“Hey, what’s going on?” She whispered in your ear. You nodded just as you had done earlier. The thought of telling her tore your heart to shreds. How would you tell her? How could you? “Hey guys,” she said addressing the two other girls, “can we borrow the room for a moment?”

“Of course, we’ll be right outside if you need us.” Jasmine gave the two of you a small smile as they stepped out.

“Okay, what’s wrong, love? You’ve been off since you stepped in,” She said with her eyes full of concern. You looked down to the ground as you tried to find the words to tell her. She lifted your head ever so slightly to look you in the eyes.

“I-” You paused. “I went to the doctor’s this morning,” You said quietly.

“What happened (Y/N)? Are you okay?” She asked, her words laced with worry.

“Pip,” You paused, knowing that the next words would make everything so real. You looked back down not wanting to see her face. “I have cancer.”

The words seemed surreal leaving your mouth. You felt her arms wrap around you as you thought of just unreal it was. The tears came flowing down your face. Once they started, you couldn’t seem to get it to stop. She rubbed your back lovingly as you felt her own tears fall.

“Shh, I’ve got you. I’ve got you.” She whispered, her voice seeming more and more weak with every second that passed.

You sat there like that for what seemed like hours (despite only being a few minutes). She finally sat back and looked you with overwhelming sadness. You took a deep breath knowing that the next words to come would be even worse.

“One year.” Her face dropped even more despite not seeming possible.

“What?” She said breathless.

“The doctor’s estimate was one year. It might be longer, but-” You were interrupted by her arms wrapping you in a hug. She seemed even more hysterical than you both were moments earlier.

“We’ll get through this, love, I promise.” She said as she calmed down. “Do you want me to ask Lin if your alternate could perform tonight?”

“No, I- I need to do this.” She nodded in understanding as she took your hand in hers. “Let’s go see everyone,” You said with a small smile pulling her up with you.

The two of you walked outside hand in hand. The rest of the company sat outside talking.

“Hey love birds!” Anthony said jokingly until the two of you came closer when everyone noticed your red eyes and tear stained cheeks. “Are you two okay?” He asked with concern, his goofy expression turning serious in an instant.

“I actually need to tell you guys something.” You said quietly as you took a seat, suddenly feeling exhausted. Pippa rested her arm around you, kissing the top of your head. The cast turned to you with concern. “You know,” You paused, “you guys are family to me.”

“And you’re family to us (Y/N).” Chris said.

“I’m going to be, um, I’m going to stop performing soon.” Lin frowned.

“We’ll miss you a lot (Y/N). Did you land another role?”

“Better than Angelica?” Daveed continued with a smirk.

“Oh please, Diggs, what is there that’s ‘better than Angelica’?” Renee asked with a laugh causing the rest of the company to join in laughter.

“Actually, no.” You frowned. “I found out this morning that,” Your words seemed to get stuck in your throat. You put your head in the crook of Pippa’s neck trying not to burst into tears for the second time that day. Thankfully, she understood the trouble you were having.

“She has cancer,” She said in a small voice. You looked up at the cast as you composed yourself. The faces of every person in the room dropped. Jasmine almost immediately began to sob in Anthony’s shirt. Lin’s mouth dropped open. Leslie looked down as if he were about to start crying as well. Oak was the first to get up and hug you tight. The rest followed suit and joined in the hug.

That was the hardest show any of you had performed. Pippa’s scream after Stay Alive (Reprise) was especially awful. You nearly broke down as you sung It’s Quiet Uptown. Pippa and Lin could hardly stop crying as you sang. The cast rotated in and out of your dressing room as you came on and off stage.

That night, you and Pippa sat on your couch in silence. You laid in her arms as she mindlessly played with your hair. “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

During your last show, you struggled. Hell, the entire cast did. You were so exhausted from treatment that someone continuously held you up, trying to seem natural. Lin stood in front of the crowd at the end of the show in his full Alexander Hamilton get up.

“As most of you know, this is (Y/N) (Y/L/N)’s last show.” He called for Pippa and you to come up to center stage. You stood there in confusion. She turned to you.

“My love,” She started. “When we first met, I instantly fell in love with you. You made me feel so… so… “

“Helpless?” She laughed lightly.

“What I’m trying to say is that I know that we don’t have our entire lives ahead of us. But, I want you to know that I’ll be right here next to you. Always. Every moment until the last.” She got down on a knee.

“(Y/N) (Y/L/N), will you marry me?” Your hands flew to your mouth in shock. You shook your head and wrapped her in a hug.

And, she did. After you left the show officially, Pippa took a break from Hamilton. She was always by your side. The cast rotated in and out of your shared apartment and later, your hospital room.

Most of the cast stood in your small room.

“I’m going to get some food,” Daveed said as most of them agreed.

“Pip, go with them. You still need to eat.” You told her. She nodded reluctantly and followed them out. You were left with Anthony and Jasmine. “Guys.” Jasmine put her hand on yours. “It’s time.”

“No, no. (Y/N),” Anthony started.

“Can you please take Pippa home with you two?”

“What? You shouldn’t-”

“Please, Ant, I can’t have her here. She hasn’t slept in weeks-”

“(Y/N), you shouldn’t be alone when you go,” Jasmine continued.

“Guys, please.”

The cast said their goodbyes an hour later. You hugged Lin extra tight.

“Thank you for everything.”

Jasmine and Anthony, especially, had tears running down their faces.

“I love you, Pip.”

The couple nearly had to drag her from the hospital. You looked down at your ring with a small smile reminiscing on the times you had with her. You looked at the flowers that flooded your room, knowing exactly who gave you what. Lin sent almost half of them. You looked at the giant teddy bear by your window that Chris brought with him during your first month of being there. It had his extra George Washington hat on it. Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you smiled at everything Alexander Hamilton’s story had brought you to. You reached for your phone and clicked to the group chat.

I love you all. x

You started to text them before sleeping during your final months. They didn’t know that this would be the last they’d receive.

My love, take your time.

I’ll see you on the other side.

NHK Trophy 2016: Tessa & Scott + post-FD hug

“It’s a date.” Betty tilts her head and her pony tail does a cute little swish as she smiles at Trevor. Trevor returns the smile before leaving the office.

Jughead lets Betty’s words sink in and feels a rush of jealousy swarm through him. He doesn’t miss the look Kevin shoots him while Betty stares after Trevor. Jughead stares back at Kevin and figures, judging by Kevin’s face, that his weird feeling of jealousy is showing. He quickly fixes his face so that Betty doesn’t see.

As soon as Trevor has left and shut the door Betty turns around and walks to behind the desk Jughead is sitting on.

“It’s not a date.” She states.

“You just called it a date.” Jughead replied in his usual sarcastic manor trying to keep the jealousy and confusion out of his voice.

He turns to look at Betty.

“You literally said ‘It’s a date’.” Jughead complains. Kevin shoots him another glance and the raven haired boy pulls a confused face. Why is he getting so defensive and jealous over Betty having a date? It’s not like he cares. Does he?

Betty goes on to explain how it’s her cover so she can get information about Jason. For some reason this does nothing to calm Jughead’s jealousy and Kevin picks up on this, quickly changing the subject for Jughead’s benefit. Jughead shoots the other boy a greatful look and begins to listen to Betty talk about cheerleading.

Despite how much he tries, Jughead can’t stop thinking about Betty going on a date with Trevor.

To try and clear his head he goes to his favourite writing spot; his booth at Pop’s. He orders his usual- a burger and fries with a milkshake- and sits down at his booth. The tall boy pulls out his laptop and continues writing his novel.

He manages to get a chapter done before, unfortunately for him, Trevor walks in and takes a seat at the booth next to his. At first Jughead thinks that Trevor has ditched Betty but five minutes later the bubbly blonde enters the diner and sits so that she is facing Trevor with her back to Jughead.

As the couple’s date continues, Jughead finds himself getting more and more jealous of Trevor getting to be on a date with the beautiful blonde. He can’t concentrate on his writing so he orders another burger and subtly eavesdrops on their conversation. However, he can’t focus on anything they’re saying because he’s too distracted by Betty’s golden hair and how it swishes lusciously. Jughead can feel eyes on him so he looks up and catches Trevor staring at him. He’s been caught staring at Betty with god knows what kind of soppy look on his face by the guy she is currently on a date with.

Jughead shakes his head and tries to go back to writing. A few minutes later Betty excuses herself to go to the bathroom.

“What are you doing Jughead?” Trevor asks across the booth.

“Well I’m trying to write, Trevor.” Jughead replies seriously.

“That’s not what I meant Jughead. I meant why aren’t you on a date with Betty?”

“Er… because you’re on a date with her and I don’t do dating…” Jughead replies feeling uncomfortable with this conversation.

“Jughead, I don’t care if you date or not. I’ve never seen anyone look at someone the way you look at Betty.”

“That’s not-” Jughead tries, but Trevor isn’t having any of it.

“Jughead, you look at her like she’s the best thing in your life. Whether you know it or not you clearly have feelings for this girl. And I can’t be on a date with her when the boy who is clearly in love with her is sat right behind her.” Trevor explains.

“Trevor you’ve got it all wrong I-” Jughead tries to argue back but his heart isn’t in it. Deep down he knows that what Trevor is saying is true.

“I’m gonna do you a solid Jughead, but in return you have to promise me that you will give Betty all the love and respect she needs and deserves.” Trevor says seriously and Jughead is so shocked and confused that all he can do is nod.

Before he can pull himself together, Betty returns.

“Okay so where were we?” Betty asks with a bright smile on her face.

“Look Betty, you might hate me for this right now, but chances are you’ll thank me later.” Trevor begins.

“What?” Betty asks, her smile dropping.

“Well, after asking me questions about Jason, all you’ve talked about is you and Jughead.”

“I’m sorry Trev, I didn’t mean to ramble about mine and Juggie’s work.” She tries smiling again.

“Betty, you don’t want to be on a date with me. So I’m going to do the right thing here and end it now.” Trevor smiles. “Maybe you can find solace behind you” Trevor glances at Jughead before apologising once more and leaving Pop’s.

Betty is left confused for a second. She turns around and stares directly into Jughead’s eyes.

“What did I do wrong, Jugs?” She asks looking sad.

“Nothing! Betts it wasn’t you , you did nothing wrong. You’re perfect how could you do something wrong?” Jughead wants to hug the poor girl but he holds himself back. “C’mere.” He gestures for the blonde to come and sit next to him and she complies, dropping next to him and placing her head on his shoulder.

The raven haired boy revels in the feeling and tentatively places his arm around her, rubbing her arm soothingly.

“What did Trevor mean by saying I don’t want to be on a date with him?” Betty thinks aloud. “Unless he means I like someone else? But who?” She wonders. “Behind me?” She mumbles.

Jughead simply listens, not wanting to disrupts the blonde’s thought process.

“Am I really that obvious?” She asks.

“Obvious about what Betts?” Jughead asks.

“Okay clearly I’m not that obvious then.” Betty continues. “Maybe Trevor is just smart, or you’re oblivious.”

Now the tall boy is confused.

“Oblivious.” He echoes the blonde. Is she saying what he thinks she’s saying?

The door to the diner opens and is followed by the loud voice of Veronica Lodge. The girl spots her friends and heads over to their booth, quickly taking in the sight of Betty and Jughead embracing.

“Aww you guys are so cute!” She sits across from them, stealing Jughead’s untouched milkshake. “You finally told him then Betty?”

Betty pulls away from Jughead but still remains quite close to the boy.

“No, Ronnie, I didn’t. I was actually here on a date with Trevor until he told me I didn’t want to be on a date with him and left. Jughead was comforting me.” The blonde girl explains to her friend.

“Oh, bummer.” Veronica replies not sounding that sad.

“Told him what?” Jughead decides to join the conversation.

“Er….” Betty begins, flushing a delicious red colour. Jughead catches himself following the blush down her neck, wondering how much further down it goes.

“Told him, being you, how much she enjoys hugs! Duh!” Veronica covers for Betty.

“Yeah right.” The tall boy scoffs. “I’ve known Betty pretty much all my life, of course I know she likes hugs, just like she knows I don’t like hugs unless they’re from her.” Jughead states.

Betty blushes again and looks down.

“I, er… I’ve got to go.” Betty mumbles before standing up and leaving.

Veronica waits less than two seconds after the blonde girl’s departure before she begins interrogating the boy in front of her.

“Okay Jugs, that was the opposite of smooth. Spill.”

Jughead doesn’t want to spill. He’d rather not talk about how confused he is right now. But there’s a look in Veronica’s eyes, similar to the one in Kevin’s eyes earlier and he knows that his friend in front of him already knows what’s going on inside his head anyway.

So he tells the raven haired girl everything. He tells her how he felt jealous this morning and earlier when Betty was on her date. He tells her how warm and happy he felt when Betty hugged him. He tells her exactly what Trevor said to him.

And Veronica, loud, talkative Veronica, listens to the poor boy’s entire story before commenting.

“You’ve got it bad Juggie.” She states simply.

“I know Ronnie, but what do I do?” he questions. The girl smiles at him. It’s mischievous and enough to make Jughead nervous in any other circumstance but in this case, this smile fills him with relief as he knows his friend has a brilliant plan.

So, maybe it wasn’t a brilliant plan in Jughead’s eyes but to Veronica it’s the best plan. Her friends are both obliviously pining after each other and damn it she’s going to get them together. She brought Jughead over to her house before Jason’s memorial.

“So what are you planning on wearing?” She asks.

“This?” he replies, gesturing to his ripped skinny jeans and his paint splattered t-shirt hiding under his denim jacket.

“Absolutely not Jughead. You’ll wear this!” She produces a suit from who knows where and pushes it into his hands. “When I’m through with you Betty will be speechless.” She smiles at the boy before pushing him into the bathroom to change.

Jughead reluctantly puts the suit on, feeling as though he should humour Veronica. He emerges from the bathroom in the suit. He’s added his braces and he refuses to remove his beanie from his head.

“Well, it’s good enough I guess.” Veronica decides. “Now hurry up, you have to go and get Betty, I’ll see you there Jughead. Good luck!” She calls as she pushes the boy out of the door.

“Betty!! Hurry up I want to see what you look like!” Kevin calls to his blonde haired friend.

“I don’t see why you had to come and help me get ready for a memorial Kev.” Betty calls back before entering the room.

“Betty!” Kevin whines. “We’ve been over this! It’s to make Jughead realise what he wants!”

Kevin quickly sorts out Betty’s blonde hair, tying it into a top knot. He then goes over to the window while Betty puts on her cardigan.

“Oh crap! He’s here. I’m going to sneak out the back, have fun dear! I’ll see you there!” The boy calls as he leaves.

A few minutes later Betty hears someone coming up the stairs and she knows its Jughead.

“Ready to enter the belly of the beast.” She hears him say as he enters her pink room, in that overly sarcastic tone she loves to hate so much. Betty isn’t going to deny it; she finds his sarcasm attractive and very sexy. But she knows most of the time its Jughead’s defence and that breaks her heart.

She turns to face him and is pleasantly surprised by what she sees. He is standing tensely in the corner of her room. His body language screams awkward and gives away the fact he is uncomfortable and doesn’t want to be there. But he looks amazing in that suit and he cleans up nicely.

The tall boy looks like he is ready to be mocked by the blonde girl and he shifts into a defensive stance. But the mocking he’s expecting doesn’t come and instead the blonde girl smiles at him while looking him up and down.

Jughead feels the back of his neck heat up with a blush but ignores the urge to loosen his tie.

“It’s the best I could do.” He says, feeling it was probably best not to give Veronica credit for his clean up. He feels a tension settle over the room when Betty doesn’t reply and just keeps staring at him.

She drags her eyes all over his body before flicking them up to meet his eyes. She shoots him a dazzling smile and all he can do is smile in return. Though he still looks awkward and is sure he looks as red as a tomato he feels truly happy in this moment.

Unfortunately the moment ends and the pair begin to walk to the Blossom’s house for the memorial.

“I’m sorry about your date Betts.” Jughead apologises to the blonde girl.

“Don’t be Jugs. Trevor  was right. It’s for the best, I have to stay single anyway.”

“Oh. And why would that be?” Jughead can’t help but ask.

“Oh just in case the boy I like figures out he likes me back.” She smiles.

Jughead feels a pang of jealousy at the mention of Betty liking another boy.

“You like someone? And you haven’t told me, your best friend of many years, who it is you like!” He replies in fake disbelief.

“I can’t tell you Juggie. It’s not that I don’t trust you it’s just that I can’t-” Betty sounds upset.

“Shhh, Betty it’s okay.” Jughead soothes. “Can you at least describe this boy? I’m intrigued.”

The beautiful blonde girl nods shyly but still looks hesitant.

“If you describe the boy you like, I’ll describe the girl I may like.” Jughead whispers.

“O-okay.” She takes a deep breath. “Well he’s funny and I love his sense of humour. He makes me laugh and I can be myself around him. With him I don’t have to be perfect because he makes me feel like no matter what I do I will always be perfect in his eyes. He’s tall and sexy as hell and I’m sure my mother wouldn’t approve of the dark vibes he gives off. But I know that underneath all his layers he cares. He cares a lot more than what he lets on and that’s why I like him. He’s also a giant dork and is obsessed with one specific item of clothing.” She whispers the last sentence quietly, worried she’s given away too much.

Jughead’s eyes widen in realisation. All of that sounds like him, but a better version of him.

“So, who’s the girl you like Jugs?” Betty asks and smiles beautifully.

“Well, she’s beautiful and will always be perfect in my eyes. I spent a long time thinking she was head over heels in love with my best friend. I love her lovely blonde hair and how it curls lusciously.” He shifts awkwardly. “I find her beautifully breath taking and there is no way I can say no to her when she stares at me with her beautiful eyes. Everyone sees her as the perfect girl next door but I see her as the broken angel she is. She’s just a normal teenage girl and that attracts me to her even more. But what attracts me to her the most is how safe she makes me feel. She makes me happy and safe and that’s why I like her.” The tall boy rambles, revealing what he thinks is too much but once he’s started he cant stop. He is completely in love with this beautiful girl in front of him.

“Jughead…” Betty turns to completely face him, they have long since stopped walking. She reaches up to touch his cheek and he leans into her soft touch, his arms go around her waist. “ Is the girl you like…” She drifts off.

“It’s you.” He swallows. “Elizabeth Cooper, I don’t want to scare you off, but I am hopelessly in love with you, I have been since we met. It just took me a while to confess it.”

“I-” She smiles another beautiful smile. “Forsythe Pendleton Jones the Third I am completely, irreversibly in love with you too. I think I have been for a long time.” He can’t help but return her gloriously happy smile.

“Betty.” He whispers, leaning closer to her soft face. “I think I’m going to kiss you.” He says being uncharacteristically brave.

“I think I’d like that Jughead.” She whispers, before sealing his lips in a searing kiss that takes his breath away. It’s the raven haired boy’s first real kiss and its perfect. All he feels is love, any previous feelings of doubt and jealousy disappear as he clutches at the small blonde girl in his arms. He doesn’t want to let her go.

Unfortunately, she pulls away.

“Crap, we’re going to be late!” She cries and takes of running towards the Blossom’s manor. She pulls the dazed boy along behind him. The make it to the house on time and enter the room. Betty immediately spots their friends and begins to walk towards them.

Jughead catches her wrist and moves his hand down, entwining his fingers with hers. The walk towards their friends hand in hand and sit down, their hands remain joined.

Kevin is the first to notice their hands.

“Yess! Go Betty girl!” he cheers, gaining the attention of their friends.

Archie looks hurt for a brief second before putting on a grumpy face, Kevin continues cheering and Veronica joins him.

When they both calm down Veronica turns to Kevin with a smile.

“ We totally nailed it!” She cheers and high fives the other boy.

Betty rolls her eyes at her friends crazy antics but she can’t wipe the massive smile off her face.  And when she turns to face her new boyfriend she can see his face is mirroring hers and her smile gets even bigger.

Maybe she will say thanks to Trevor.

Auston Matthews - Part 3

Again, long af. Pretty sure around 1500 words will be the typical amount I post.

Alex POV

Once we arrive at the restaurant and start to pile out of the SUV, Y/N jumps out and stands as far away from Auston as she can. A little bit of a guilt forms in my stomach, perhaps I went too far with making a heart sign at her and Auston.

As we make our way inside Y/N steers clear of both Breyana and I, sticking between mom and dad a few feet ahead of me. I contemplate taking her aside and apologizing but before I can reach out and pull her aside we make it to our secluded table in the back of the restaurant. Y/N scrambles to take the seat between my parents again, forcing Auston, Breyana and I to sit across the table. I scowl across the table at her and before Auston can take the end seat I quickly sit, Breyana taking my hint and taking the other end seat, forcing Auston to take the middle, directing across from Y/N, who quickly takes notice and sends an angry look my way.

“So, what’s everyone feeling?” I ask, smiling over my menu at Y/N, who drops her glowering gaze down to her menu. “I’m sure you’ll just get chicken tenders and fries, Y/N?” The smile is still on my face as she glances over her menu at me again, this time I earn a death stare.

As Y/N opens her mouth to retort, mom pipes in.

“I think we can all just get a couple pizzas to share, it’s quick and I’m starving,” Mom says, turning her menu to the create-your-own-pizza section and starts taking everyone’s requests.

After putting our order in and getting our drinks the chatting starts, moving from topic to topic of people back home in Arizona and the happenings in Toronto to Breyana’s schooling. Y/N stays quiet unless directly spoken to. I watch her closely as the minutes fly by, never once do her eyes fall on Auston, her posture is tense and she spends most of the few minutes focused on her water. I frown at her, Breyana and I spent hours going over our plans for this week and none of it involved Y/N sitting there quietly refusing to look at my brother.

I start to search for a topic to bring her into the conversation but once again, my mother beats me to it.

“Oh, Y/N! I nearly forgot!” Mom exclaims, reaching for her purse and I immediately beam knowing exactly where this is going. Y/N snaps out her fixation on her water and looks at mom, her big eyes even bigger than usual at the thought of being the center of attention in the conversation.

“Since we weren’t able to see you over Christmas and we didn’t want to send it in the mail and miss your expression when you opened it…” Mom continues digging through her bag, finally producing a long flat box all decorated in wrapping paper and sets it down in front of Y/N, everyone around the table excluding Auston, also reaches into either their pocket or purse and sits a separate small box around the first one.

Y/N looks from the boxes to mom, her expression embarrassed. “Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Matthews, I can’t take any gifts from you. You have done so much for me already over the years…” she starts pushing her chair slightly away from the table.

“How many times do we have to tell you not to call us that,” Dad looks down fondly at Y/N, “we love you and we got something for you, either open it yourself or I’m sure Ema will for you.”

Y/N’s cheeks turn pink as she grins up at my dad, fondness of her face as well. Her eyes flash over to my face and for the first time in half an hour she doesn’t scowl, just smiles.

“Alright,” she says, turning her attention to the long box that was sat own first and tears into it. Everyone leans into the table, eager to see what it is even though we all already know.

She pauses when she realizes it’s a jewelry box and raises her eyes to mom’s who shakes her head at her.

“Don’t even start with me.”

Y/N smiles softly and opens the box revealing a gleaming Pandora charm bracelet. She lets out a small whisper I can’t make out and lifts the bracelet out of the box, her eyes glowing as she takes in the two charms already attached.

“We each got you a charm to start you out,” Mom says, reaching out and pointing to the one shaped in an (first letter of your name). “This one and this one,” she then touches the second charm, a small silver cactus, a small smile playing on her lips. “This one is to remind you of your second home and where you can always turn to.”

Y/N doesn’t say anything, she just stares down intently at the cactus, her finger tracing it gently. When she finally looks up, I see tears welling in her eyes. She leans into mom and wraps her arms around her tightly, mom returning the embrace.

“Oh, we didn’t mean to make you cry!” Dad says and joins in on the hug and squeezes Y’N’s shoulders. Y/N smiles and wipes at her eyes.

“You didn’t I had a rouge eyelash,” Y/N says sheepishly, still trying to dry her eyes on the back of her hand.

“Both eyes?” I ask, laughing, she looks up at me and grins.

“Should have said allergies,” she laughs back and focuses back onto the bracelet, her face absolutely glowing.

“Next one! Next one!” Breyana chants, clapping her hands excitedly and pushes the box she sat down closer to Y/N. “This one is from me!”

Beaming at Breyana, Y/N picks up the box and quickly opens it to reveal a third charm to add to her bracelet, two small paw prints entwined together.

“For your four-legged friends back home!” Breyana looks at Y/N. “Do you like it?” She asked, a little unsure of herself after all the excitement.

“Breyana, I love it!” Y/N says, reaching across the table and grabbing Breyana’s hand. “It’s beautiful! I already miss them and now I don’t have to.” She adds, taking her hand back and affectionately tracing the pattern with her finger.

Breyana sits back with a satisfied expression on her face, clearly pleased with herself.

I reach across the table and push the last box towards Y/N.

“Last one!” I announce and Auston fidgets slightly in his chair. He had remained silent this whole time, only making the typical “oh’s and ah’s” as Y/N opened each box, his gaze solely fixed on her. I leaned back in my chair, maybe this was going better than I had thought.

Y/N reaches for the last box and hurriedly opens it, all early hesitation out the window. She pulls out another charm, this one in the shape of a hockey puck.

“Do you remember how we became friends in the first place, Y/N?” I ask quietly, she face was thoughtful as she took in the charm.

Y/N lifts her head and gives me a soft smile. “You gave me a concussion with a hockey puck,” her eyes fill with tears again as she lifts the charm out of the box.

“I was falling down and it ended up being the hardest shot I ever took. I felt horrible for a good year afterwards, but if you hadn’t been there with your dad scouting and I hadn’t been messing around… We never even would have met.” Tears form in my own eyes and Y/N gets out of her seat and hurries around the table, I stand up to embrace her tightly.

“You guys all suck, why are you all making me cry?” Y/N half cries and half laughs into my shoulder.

After sitting back down, mom starts to show Y/N how to attach the charms when Auston clears his throat. I glance over at him and notice a small box in his hand, widening my eyes I look behind Auston and meet Breyana’s eyes and nod to Auston, silently questioning if she had anything to do with it and she just shakes her head.

Mom and Y/N finally notice that the table had gone silent and for the first time since getting there Y/N meets Auston’s gaze. He slides the box across the table and nods to it.

“Mom told me what they were going to get and didn’t want to feel left out,” he said quietly, trying and failing to look nonchalant about it.

Y/N gives him a small smile and slowly lifts it into her hands. She drops her gaze down and lifts the top off the box and her smile instantly fades. Mom leans over to get a look and her mouth opens to form an “o”.

“Well what is it?” I ask, my patience wearing thin. I move to stand up to get a better look when Y/N looks up at Auston, her eyes shining once again. Auston swallows and nervously runs a hand through his hair.

“If you had another one in mind, we can switch them. I don’t mind. I just… Mom said you were going to school for astronomy and I just thought…” he abruptly stops midsentence as Y/N reaches across the table and grabs his hand.

“I absolutely love it, Auston. It’s beyond beautiful,” she assured him, her face positivity glowing. Auston’s cheeks turn a faint pink that I haven’t seen in years and he gives her a gentle smile.

“Come on! What is it?” Breyana nearly shouted, breaking Y/N and Auston out of their moment and earning a glare from me and a scolding from mom.

“Breyana be patient!”

Retracting her hand rather slowly, Y/N turns the box and tips it so we all can see it. Breyana and I are for once, speechless.

Inside the small box lays a glittering gold and blue charm with eccentric patterns of stars and planets across several bands all intertwined around a small golden sun. Y/N tilts the box slightly, the light above the table catching the angles and gemstones just right, sending a shower of sparkles across the table.

Y/N turns the box back to her and beams down at the charm. Breyana and I stare at each other, still in shock. I glance over at mom and she too is staring at Auston in shock, he’s meeting her stare with a slightly offended look on his face.

“What? I listen when you talk about some things, mom,” he says, breaking away from her gaze and his eyes instantly lock on Y/N again, whose face looks like it’s about to split in two.

“I didn’t think you listened that well,” mom mutters, turning her attention back to Y/N and helping her rearrange the charms to put Auston’s in the middle to balance out the colors. Y/N’s OCD coming out slightly.

After Y/N attaches the bracelet around her wrist she can’t keep the giddy smile off her face.

“I have never been more in love with something in my life,” she says, her fingers constantly moving back and forth between the charms. “Thank you all so much, I have no idea how I got so lucky to be concussed into such a beautiful family.” Y/N looks and each of us at a time, her gaze this time lingering on Auston. “I just… thank you.”

Smoke Pt 2

Story Summary: You knew Bucky and Steve back when you were kids. When they both disappeared in the war, you let Peggy experiment on you with the serum. It had a different effect on you than it had on Steve, and you’ve spent your life in hiding. What will happen when you finally make yourself known?
Word Count: 1,292
Warnings: Feels. Angst.
A/N: I hope you guys are liking this so far. And if you have any advice, I’d love to hear it!

His eyes scanned your face for a few moments, before he let out a small sigh. “I.. I feel like I should remember you.. You were a big part of my life, weren’t you?” He asked softly as he walked closer to you, taking a better look at you. You nodded slowly, chewing on your lip. Steve watched your interaction closely, his eyes never leaving Bucky. “You really don’t remember her?” Steve breathed, and you saw the pain on Bucky’s face as he came closer. “Your eyes..” He whispered, and you kept eye contact with him, hoping that it might spark something inside of him, but he just shook his head, running his fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry.. I don’t..” He whispered, and you let out a small sigh, shaking your head at him. “It’s okay.. It was a long time ago.” Steve came closer, resting his hand on your shoulder, smiling in apology. “Give it time.” He whispered, and you nodded, but the feeling in your stomach just made you want to cry. He couldn’t remember you.

Steve made you sit down and explain to him how exactly you were still alive, and so young… He didn’t really like the answers you had for him. “You.. You did this because you thought we were dead?” He’d asked, his raising an octave. You nodded, “Steve, you two were all I had.. I thought that maybe since you were gone.. You’d want me to try and save people, like you did. I was.. I was trying to make my big brother proud.” You told him softly. He was about to open his mouth, when Bucky interrupted him, “But the serum didn’t work. Not all the way, anyway?” You let out a small breath before answering, “Right. Instead of becoming a super soldier like Peggy and I had hoped, I was just cursed with this.” You held your hands up in front of your face, your eyes narrowing at the smooth skin. “I had to watch everyone I got close to grow old and die, while I never changed.. Even Peggy..” You whispered the last part, and Steve’s body tensed up. “Peggy knew you were alive?” You nodded slowly, “She knew.. She helped me through so many dark times over the years.. Now that she’s gone.. I knew that I needed to find you.” You told him, your eyes scanning his face. “She loved you, you know.” You told him, and his lips pressed into a thin line. “I know.”

You stayed and spoke with them a bit longer, when you finally decided you should probably go back to your apartment, let this sink in for them a little bit. Bucky had looked incredibly uncomfortable the entire time you had been there, and you felt a little guilty. He didn’t remember anything you were talking about. He couldn’t even remember the day that he left to go fight the war..

“Bucky, please. Don’t go.” You begged, tears streaming down your face. He wiped them away with his thumbs as he cradled your face in his hands. “Y/N.. You know I have to do this.” He whispered brokenly. “But.. I-I love you.” You sobbed, and his eyes softened as he took a step closer to you. “I love you too, doll. I always have.” He told you, and you managed to smile through your tears. “Promise me something.” He said, his eyes scanning your face. You nodded, “Anything, Buck.” He leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, the kind of kiss that makes you weak in the knees. His arm snaked around your waist tightly as he continued kissing you and you wanted to stay lost in that moment forever. You didn’t care about all the people who were staring at you. Your hands tugged at his hair gently, and he pulled away from the kiss, pressing his lips to your forehead lightly. “When I get home.. I want you to marry me.” He whispered, and you felt my heart flutter. “B-Bucky?” You stammered, and he smiled down at you, one of his famous crooked smiles. “Promise you’ll wait for me.” He whispered.

You had waited for him, alright. James Barnes was the last romantic interest you had. And sitting here with him, even though he wasn’t saying much of anything, just made you remember all of the feelings you had for him. Steve knew it, too, as he kept touching you and giving you sad looks. He knew this was hard for you.

“You could always stay here, you know.” Steve had offered, and you shrugged as you stood up, wrapping your arms around yourself. “That’s okay. I have an apartment, not too far from here. I’m sure Tony will give you my address and my phone number, in case you want to visit. I rarely sleep anymore, so if you need me, don’t hesitate to call, I don’t care what time it is.” You told him, and he smiled softly at you, taking you into his arms for another hug. You’d gotten an awful lot of those from Steve today. Not a single one from Bucky, though. You supposed it was weird for him. “I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll probably give you a call tomorrow. I feel like we have a lot to catch up on.” He told you, and you nodded, smiling as you ended the embrace. “You guys could come over for dinner sometime. Bring your friends, if you want.” You told him, and he grinned. “You always were a wonderful cook, we might have to take you up on that offer, we’re free tomorrow night, right Buck?” Your eyes darted to Bucky, who was still just staring at you, and he nodded stiffly. “Sure, sounds great.” He replied, and you chewed on your lip as you took a few steps towards him.

“Well.. I guess I’ll see you soon, then.” You said awkwardly, wringing your hands together. He took a few steps towards you, leaving only inches between you as he searched your face again. “I should know you..” He whispered, and you smiled sadly. “It’s okay, Buck. It’ll come back to you.” You told him, though you weren’t sure you believed it, myself. His hand lightly touched your hair, and you had to fight back a shiver. He noticed, and chewed on his lip lightly. “I’ll see you soon.” You told him, taking a step away from him. “Promise?” He whispered, and your head whipped back in his direction. “What did you say?” You breathed, and he just stared at you, his mouth hanging open slightly. “You promised me something..” he whispered, “But I can’t remember what..” You smiled at him, feeling tears form at the edges of your eyes. “Like I said, Buck.. It’ll come back to you. I promise you that.”

You couldn’t stay there any longer, and you turned your back to him, waving goodbye to Steve as you headed down the hall so you could leave the building. Once you were outside, you realized how dark it had gotten. You let out a shaky breath, wrapping your arms around yourself for warmth as you began the walk back to your apartment.

You could feel eyes on you the entire way home, but it didn’t make you feel nervous or afraid, you just figured it was Steve making sure you made it home okay. Like a big brother, always watching you. Your heart fluttered at the thought. You finally had them back. Maybe it would take awhile before Bucky could remember you.. maybe he wouldn’t remember you at all.. but now that you had your boys back, now that you had your family back, you weren’t going to let them go so easily.

Jooheon couldn’t help the smile that spread as he stared down at you. He couldn’t really believe that he’d been lucky enough to find someone like you and he constantly pinched himself, wondering what exactly he’d done to deserve you. But here you were, content and asleep in his arms.

Happy would be an understatement to describe his feelings.

Jooheon brushed a piece of hair out of your eyes as you shifted in his arms and glanced up at him with sleepy eyes. “How long did we nap?” you asked, your voice thick with sleep.

Does seeing your readers judge the character of a new creature by its looks alone reinforce your dim view of humanity?

Sometimes, but usually if the character they’re prejudging is also human. This dude looks pretty blatantly menacing and even Timofey is freaking out over him, so I’d be a little alarmed if y’all thought this was a tender new love interest for Quigley or something.

Everyone was mostly really cool with Minnow, who is a little scary looking herself, so I’m proud of you guys! Embrace the freaks.

“So, his name is Bucky?”

“Yeah, Bucky,” she repeats.

You mouthed his name before nodding. “Cute.”

You just turned me on.

It was 12:15 am and Justin had booked a private jet for you guys but that was supposed to leave in an hour and you didn’t want to be late. You guys were going to Puerto Rico to visit your family, and Justin was going to meet them for the first time. He was nervous but he didn’t do anything about it, he just lied down on the couch as if his bags were already packed.

“Justin!” you whined as you tried to drag him off the couch “Come on pack your things we’re gonna be late!”

“Can you do it for me? My stomach hurts,” He said holding his stomach.

“Oh, are you nervous? You don’t have to be nervous baby my parents will love you.” You said placing your hands on either side of his jaw.

“You sure?” He asked pouting but also placing his hands on yours. “You know the media says a lot of bad things about me, they can believe those things, everyone does.”

“No, my parents aren’t even aware of this thing called the internet,” I giggled “I mean they know but i told them not to read any of that stuff.”

He got up sighing and walked up the stairs to our room to pack his things, so we could leave. He was downstairs in ten minutes and before you left the house you gave him a kiss on his lips, intertwining your fingers with his, you hopped in the car that was going to drive you to the airport.

You guys were standing on the porch of your old home where your parents live and knocked a few times, before the door opened revealing your mother and father with open arms.

They both embraced you and you guys stayed like that for a few before you took a step back and looked over at justin who had a strange but warm look on his face.

“Mom, dad, this is justin,” You say pointing at justin who’s hands are in his pocket but he quickly extends one hand for your parents to shake, but what your parents do surprise you. They pulled him in a big hug like they did to you, you already knew this vacation was gonna be good. Justin was shocked at first and didn’t do anything with his hands but he quickly hugged them too.

“Nice to finally meet you, son,” Your dad said with his Spanish accent, it was really funny hearing him talk English.

“It’s nice to meet you too sir,” Justin said but your dad wasn’t smiling, he wasn’t comfortable with justin calling him sir.

“Oh no no no don’t call me sir call me padre!” He said and you burst out laughing. “You’re my princesa’s boyfriend, you’re going to be her husband later, you are part of the family!”

“I agree, but let’s go inside, i cooked delicious food.” Your mom interrupted you guys and you smiled. “Alberto! Come take your sisters suitcase!”

“Mom I’m busy,” Alberto shouted back at your mom in Spanish and your mom flipped and started saying things in Spanish and he came downstairs with a red face. “Hi sis, justin”

“Hi Alberto,” Justin said waving at him, they already met each other because your brother came to visit you a year ago.

You were about to explode of all the food your mom fed you. She kept putting things on your plate and you could say no but justin couldn’t he didn’t want yo break your mom’s heart by saying no to all the food she made with her own hands. No offense it was delicious he said but he was about to explode too. Now while your mom was washing the dishes, your dad and justin were sitting in the living room talking about god knows what and you were ‘helping’ your mom.

“Go go away,” She said pushing you away from the faucet “You don’t do anything so just go sit with your padre.”

You, of course, left because you wanted to. You sat down in the middle of justin and your dad on the couch and started watching what your dad was watching, something you both loved.

“Soccer!” You said excited as one person of the team you were for started running and was about to make a point but he missed last moment. You and your dad both got up and Justin snapped out of his thoughts. “PUTA!” (bitch)

“Hijo de puta!” (son of a bitch)

“es estúpido!” You joined your dad as you two were scolding the soccer player. (he is so stupid)

“Si el es, pendejo!” (yes he is stupid)

“He can’t even fucking play, i could do better than him!” You shout at the tv and look over at Justin who was smirking like crazy. You sat down again and Justin began coming closer and you felt his lips pressed to your ear.

“That was so sexy,” He whispered in your ear and your stomach started going crazy “You just turned me-”

“lo hizo de nuevo!” Your dad yelled making you both shiver and look up at him. (he did it again)

“Papá ¿por qué no a salir del campo?” You asked you knew your dad could understand English but you wanted to turn Justin the fuck on so you looked down at him and winked. (dad why doesn’t he leave the field?)

“No lo sé!” (I don’t know)

You sat down again, this time, you got closer to Justin and pressed your lips on his earlobe and whispered “¡Puedo ver su pene que sobresale de los pantalones” (i can see your dick sticking out of your jeans)

“I don’t know what the fuck you just said but-,” He said covering his pants with his hands. “I’ll be right back.”

ok tumblr, i love finnpoe as much as the next girl, but if finnrey happens in ep8 i hope you guys embrace that too. please don’t let star wars become one of those fandoms where people senselessly hate on an awesome female character because she “got in the way” of the m/m ship that was never going to happen.

finnrey is good. finnpoe is good. finn is good. it’s all good.
