Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

I think the fact that a law had to be put in place to regulate the absolute minimum you are allowed to pay someone is pretty fucking disgusting.

The government literally had to force companies to pay their workers an based on the minimum amount it would take at the time to survive because a persons labor means so little in our capitalist society.

And when people complain about a minimum wage hike (which should have been happening every year for the past few decades) would increase prices and increase unemployment they are being intellectually dishonest at worst and at best, willfully ignorant.

Don’t blame the worker. Blame the business that encourages its employees to seek government assistance instead of paying them a living wage. (McDonald’s) Blame the business that literally asked its customers to donate food for their employees during the holidays instead of paying its employees enough to afford the food. (Wal mart)

Big business and corporations cannot be trusted to do the right thing by people. It has been demonstrated time and time again but somehow people just aren’t making the connections.

genuine question, please only answer this if you’re black

it’s about the key/taemin situation, i’m genuinely wondering (if this sounds facetious i’m really really sorry that is literally not at all is my intent at all, i really want to actually know) why is what taemin said bad? from what i have gathered from the screenshots and his comment about looking like he’s from the jackson 5 and the picture of him with the afro and the afro pick, key was actually doing it with the intention that it would look like textured, black peoples’ hair, and taemin made a comment on that it looked like that. so i’m wondering in this context how is what he said bad? i don’t think it’s good, i don’t really think it’s much of anything and i’m much more disappointed in key for making his hair look like that because appropriating natural hair like that for fashion is really nasty. i could see if taemin had said it in disgust like “ew, you look like a black boy” or “why would you do that to your hair? now you look like a black boy” or something else to insinuate that it’s insulting, but i don’t really see how he was doing anything more than making a comment on what key was trying to make himself look like?

i don’t know if there’s something i’m not thinking about or seeing that other people see?

My take on the vibe at the GMA show

Basically everyone was just really excited whenever the boys were on stage, and sang along and cheered like crazy. But during the in between periods when the GMA staff was trying to pump up the crowd and take video footage, everyone was so over it. The GMA people were incredibly condescending towards the fans.

And then when the interviews happened, everyone was waiting with baited breath for anything re: babygate, and when Michael congratulated Louis, the mood entirely changed. Everyone was shocked… It really came out of the blue and I’m not kidding, the boys looked so uncomfortable. But the crowd was making too much noise for me to hear what was happening until I watched the interview later.

And then the View interview was absolutely disgusting and people were horrified by how gross the interviewer was. Seriously the crowed booed so loudly when she asked about girls getting their attention (I don’t think that showed up well on the video, but it was very clear that the fans were not on board with that interview). The nightline interview was weird too, and they brought up Zayn. Everyone kind of “Aww’d” when Liam answered, but there was still a lot of tension.

There was a radio interview too, but I couldn’t hear any of it, so I have no idea what was said (and I don’t know when it will be released? Or where?) Basically, everyone was super psyched and supportive towards the boys, and 100% done with the interviewers and GMA staff.

so.... you would literally quit talking to someone if you didn't like their views on capitalism? ... it's one thing to fight for social justice, but I think that's a bit closed minded to just cut off anyone who has different political views.

Capitalism as it currently exists is violent. Like, literally a reason people are literally dying, violent.

And when I talk about it, I’m saying things like, “It’s disgusting that there are 24 unused homes for every homeless person and that honelessness is still just a normal part of how our society functions”

or

“it’s disgusting that there is enough food for everyone to eat well and healthfully but people are starving and dying from lack of access to healthy food”

or

“I can’t fucking believe that we as a species have the food and medicine and resources to take care of our own and we just… don’t”

or

“I hate the fact that we as a society still think that life is somehow fair and that if someone’s poor or disabled or sick we assume that they did something to earn their suffering, even if that thing is just existing in a way that keeps them from selling their labour to capitalists or not being born with enough money to be a capitalist”

and if someone wants to argue with me on this shit and tell me that’s okay or just what people deserve or unavoidable then that person is not someone I am comfortable being friends with

and i don’t care if my criteria for who i’m friends with is “close minded” according to you, anon, b/c I don’t like being around people who excuse violence just because it’s how things are

like, this shit is important to me. critically examining power structures and the way people treat each other is a central part of my life.

if I can’t occasionally say “people are dying out there and that’s terrible”, without someone heavily sighing and telling me I need to Grow Up or w/e, why would I, someone who cares deeply about that topic, want to be friends with that person? why would I feel safe and comfortable around that person?

I’m not telling you who you can or can’t be friends with; I’m literally just saying “If I personally bring up how terribly capitalism treats people, me included, and someone tries to argue with me, that is not a person I, personally, want to be friends with in my personal life.”

That video was sickening, and my stomach hurts seeing it. Anyone who supports Planned Parenthood--abortion in general--is a disgusting piece of shit. It takes a truly sinister kind of monster to be okay with what goes on to defenseless babies who don't have a chance. I'm so glad these undercover videos are surfacing. How can anyone justify this????

And after the night with art student!luke you’d wake up in the morning you laying on your stomach and Luke cuddled up into your side, his head resting on your shoulder, his soft messy hair tickling your neck lightly, his arms around your waist, his fingers intertwined with yours just like they were while he made love to you. He was your best friend but it didn’t feel weird it just felt right. And he was pressed against you, so close you could feel his chest rise and fall. You’d rurn around slowly, wanting to see him but he’d sigh softly and opened his eyes.
And suddenly he was so afraid. He had sex with his best friend he loved for such a long time and it definitly wouldn’t make it easier, he was so afraid you were disgusted by him, telling him the best night of his life was just a mistake for you and his heart would hammer against his chest, he couldn’t breathe but when you wrapped your hands around his neck, pushing your naked body into his and your lips on his plump, still sore ones all his sorrows would vanish and he’d smile against your lips

I just wanted to share this with you so you can share and hopefully others will see how fucking disgusting animal captivity is. It broke my heart to see how small his pen was, sharing with at least 5 other animals. And he was in the corner the whole time shaking. He just looks sad. I totally forgot I took this photo until you posted the one with captivity is cruel and I was like HELL YES I CAN BACK THIS UP and spent like 29 minutes scrolling through my pictures to find it. Anyways. Have a great day. And I hope this baby zebra is somewhere safe right now.

Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Indeed, so sad, I pray for the day animals won’t have to live behind bars. It is important to bring awareness. Tomorrow I’m going to a 3 day vacation trip and I’m going to visit an animal rescue center, hopefully and If I’m not too shy I’ll make a video so you guys can see it and other people would be encouraged to visit this type of places rather than the ones who profit with the animals!
