stim toys for the office?

Hey fellow autistics! I recently started a new full time job, and it’s a desk job. I’m looking for some work-appropriate stim toys. By work-appropriate, I mean, like… nothing messy like kinetic sand or anything that makes a lot of noise.

I’ve bought some sculpting foam and I enjoyed stimming with that (i like tactile stim toys), but sculpting foam isn’t made to be used for 4-7 hours a days, and it becomes gross and flat after just a couple days.

does anyone have any suggestions for a good stim toy(s) I can use at work? Thanks!

i wonder what their last words to each other were.

after the finality of the moment had already settled, everyone felt it was over, inevitably, where they sharp? a last blow? or were they soft, a last touch of sentiment, after tearing each other apart, before the end? was anyone choking back tears, did they think they were going to miss the other? or did they breathe a sigh of relief?

and what was their last kiss like? there was no kiss goodbye, so when did it happen? and did they already feel the end coming on, two continents touching for the last time before being separated by their own slow drifting, or was it a kiss of lovers embracing before the crash? did they know its bittersweet finality?

did they ever say “i love you” in those last months? was the air colder than in summer?

how exactly did it feel when everything collapsed?

Historical Paints Series - Grantaire + Verdigris

Verdigris is a blue-green pigment that has been used since antiquity, whose name derives from an Old French phrase meaning “green of Greece.” Though it was the most vibrant green pigment available for much of history, it had an unstable color prone to changing over time, making it tricky to work with. It ultimately fell out of favor in the 19th century as newer, more stable greens became available.

One day John is cleaning house and finds a disk left behind by Mary, who tells him what really matters is the mythology he has created with his blog – the myth of 221b and Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson.

With this in mind, John signs a book contract to further boost their legend (and make a little cash).  But he doesn’t have any actual cases that are appropriate to a book-length work, and he wants to stretch himself a bit, so he cooks up a particularly lurid plot for a novel involving a secret sister locked away in an island fortress, and peopling it with his various friends and associates.  Eurus was never real – the girl Sherlock met that night really was Faith, John’s therapist was just his therapist, and the girl on the bus was just a cute girl on a bus.

Sometimes Mycroft and Sherlock get tipsy and read passages from John’s novel to each other while giggling, and John gets all embarrassed.

current works in progress. i may stream one of these when i get to them (have to finish my reserve commissions first, i’m so sorry for the wait friends!)

also, if anyone has any ideas when it comes to new patreon rewards, i’d be all ears. currently i’m unable to keep up with a bust sketch every two months, on top of trying to find a job and commissions. any recommendations would be appreciated!

Practically every form of popular music you can name - from the blues and rock and roll to hiphop and dubstep - was the music of black struggle in working-class communities, before it was stripped of social content for the mass market and commodified by wealthy, white record executives.

Apart from EDM, that was apparently the result of a laboratory accident.

imbroglio [ jimin ]

noun : an extremely confused, complicated, or embarrassing situation.

the first impression is always important. but so is the second.

pairing: park jimin x reader
genre: fluff, comedy
type: intern / ceo office au
word count: 4,456 words
warnings: none
author’s note: because the reader should be the cool, suave ceo sometimes, instead of the sexy secretary or nervous newbie. and cue jimin as the new, cute, easily flustered intern. thank you elfie @syubits for listening to all my mindless rambles about this #elfmin2k17

Jimin carefully threads the maroon colored silk tie with the faintest diamond pattern around his neck, hands shaking when he ties the knot. A knot tighter than the one he had just created already resides in his stomach, and he can only nervously tug at the aesthetically appropriate work tie to adjust its place beneath the collar of his crisp, ivory shirt. Inspecting the white material tucked into his neatly ironed black pants as he turns in a three hundred sixty degree fashion in front of his bathroom mirror, he almost suffers a panic attack when he sees the duck tail in the back, the blinding white telltale fabric protruding like a mockery.

Shoving the remaining end of his shirt into his pants, he then fiddles with the brass buckle adorning the plain, ebony belt around his waist. Puffing his rosy cheeks out to look even plumper, Jimin subconsciously purses his lips, already cerise from the numerous times he had chewed on his bottom lip in anxiousness. Parting his lips to let out one shaky breath, he painstakingly checks every button on his shirt to ensure that it is safely held together. Once he finishes, Jimin slides his hands through his hair, the chestnut strands glimmering in the slightest of ways from the rays of morning sunlight that managed to peek through the gauzy curtain covering the bathroom window. His dark, chocolate mocha eyes stare back at him through his mirror reflection: anticipation, anxiety, and a minuscule sliver of excitement pooling in the deepest depths of his darkening pupils.

Inhaling sharply, Jimin gives himself another quick pep talk, reminding himself that it is too late to back out, and if he does, it will definitely leave a lasting, most likely permanent blow to his pride.

After all, he is one of the only three people chosen for the internship at one of the most prestigious startup companies on an international scale.

today in my biopsychology class we were talking about the practice of lobotomy and how it so quickly moved from being a (entirely unsupported by evidence) theory into widespread clinical practice. At the end of class my professor asked if we could imagine something like this happening today- a poorly researched procedure becoming so accepted despite lacking ethics or appropriate evidence that it works and isn’t harmful. the class was divided with some people saying yes it is possible and others saying no, the standards of medicine have changed and that could never happen nowadays but I would argue it is happening?? like hormones and puberty blockers are being advocated so strongly, and for young kids too, but we don’t know the side effects!!! and the side effects that we do know are already SO harmful!! like??? it just does not make sense to me how this is becoming such common practice

This year I decided to do my Witchsona in a medium I’m a little better with : D

He’s STILL a lazy ass manipulator of sound and music, he’d probably be good at spells and potions but he never does much of anything besides play around with instruments. For some reason hes also really good at sealing things and has a couple very powerful and rare objects in his possession (that he never uses)

*has nightmare where goes to AO3 and sees three really long comments that would normally be exciting*

*each part of the review is, instead, an in-depth analysis if everything wrong in the works I’m most proud of. Points are well-supported, defended with examples and evidence, and is completely accurate. Even has appropriate quotes and a works cited page*

*I am rationally convinced through reasonable arguments and logic that my work is trash*

*looks away from computer in shock at this new revelation only to find I’m wearing no shoes in a public place (the nightmare I have most often–I don’t know why dream-me is terrified of going out in public with no shoes, but it’s always the worst and I wake up terrified every time)*

I was not prepared for last night.
