Stay hydrated! You can’t enjoy the con if you’re dizzy or even passed out
Eat more than junk food if you can, and remember GrubHub can find places that deliver to your location
SHOWER. Con funk is not a good kind of funky
Don’t forget deodorant, also to not be…con funky
Make a packing list before the so you don’t forget any important things, such as easily missable cosplay accessories and sundries
Swimsuits are a must if you have free time! The hotel pool is a good place to relax after a long day
Be kind to other con-goers and follow con rules. I know it’s buzzkiller of me to bring this up but kindness makes the world go around. Compliment others’ cosplays if you genuinely enjoyed them. Don’t tell other cosplayers if you hate the character they’re cosplaying.
Take lots of pics and save them online! It’d be a tragedy if you lost your phone and lost your convention memories!
Americans wear shoes in the house and it is terrifying. In Germany you wear indoor shoes but they don't go outside. And in Canada it's sock or barefeet. Because we are civilized unlike America
that is sooo unhygienic, some people here also wear indoor shoes or slippers (usually in houses w/o carpets bc the floor is cold), socks are more common, it does happen sometimes that we let someone in wearing their shoes but that’s only when they’re for a quick 5-10 minute visit but we clean the floor after that
