Sam frowned as he peered into the bag of trash he had just collected from all the bathrooms. Bloody rags? He hadn’t remembered anyone going on a hunt lately… Oh well. Probably just Dean doing something stupid as usual. Sam grinned as he returned from taking out the trash and deftly caught the beer Dean had tossed in his direction.
“You heard from Cas lately?” Dean furrowed his brow. “It’s been a few days since he checked in.” Sam laughed. “I’m sure he’s fine, Dean. He is a four billion year old celestial being who spends his free time watching bees. I think he can probably take care of himself. Maybe he just needed some time off.” Dean shrugged, but he didn’t look convinced. “Yeah, I know, but…” He glanced at the beer in his hand as his face reddened. “I worry about the little guy, y’know?” Sam grinned. “Yeah. I know you worry…” Dean glared at him. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Sam raised his eyebrows in mock innocence and threw up his hands. “Nothing, nothing! I’m just sayin’… You worry…” Sam chuckled as he drained the last of his beer and stood up. “I’m gonna run some errands. You need anything?” Dean glanced at the bottle in his hand and then up at his brother. Sam nodded. “Yeah. More beer. You got it.” Dean grinned as he stood up and tossed the empty bottle into the trash can. “You know me so well, Sammy.” Sam laughed. “Yeah, whatever. I’ll be back in a few hours.”
