& the egypt game

Ivory Board Game Pieces, Early Dynastic Period

These six board game pieces were associated with a game called ‘Mehen’ coil, because it was played on a circular limestone board that took the form of a coiled snake, its skin divided into squares. Three playing pieces represent recumbent lions, and three recumbent lionesses, height: 3.5 cm. Early Dynastic Period, 1st Dynasty, ca. 3100-2890 BC. Egyptian Museum, Cairo. “Mou Hitori No Boku,” Yuugi whispered, “I don’t know what I’m going to do without you. You are a part of me. Without you I’m incompletely.” Yuugi lowered his head, hiding his face from Atem.

“Aibou,” Atem placed his thumb and index finger under Yuugi’s chin, making the young man tilt his head up. The Pharaoh sighed softly as he looked into Yuugi’s large lavender colored eyes. Leaning forward, Atem gently pressed their foreheads together. For the first time in years, he could no longer see into Yuugi’s mind or read his thoughts. But yet, he still understood what his partner was feeling because he felt the same way. “Come with me…”

Thank you @ringo-chuu for the amazing artwork to go with my fanfiction one-shot, A New Start.

“Surrender yourself to me, Yuugi,” Atem whispered, his voice coming from deep in his chest and sending chills down my spine. I bit my lip as he placed a blindfold over my eyes, gently kissing my neck and shoulder as he made sure the blindfold was secure.

I gasped, arching my back against him, as one of his hands traveled along my body, teasing and pulling at my skin. Atem’s other hand came up and gently touched my face, his thumb running over my lower lip. I tilted my head back, moaning as my partner continued to touch me.

“Atem,” I panted as I pressed myself against his chest.

“Yes, Aibou?” He hummed as he leaned down and kissed my cheek, I could feel him smiling against my skin. Reaching up, I gently grabbed at his wrist.

“Please, don’t stop.” I begged breathlessly.

“I would never dream of it,” Atem chuckled as his hands traveled lower and lower.
