What a riot! Band goin’ crazy, crowd goin’ wild, photographers scrambling for the shot, drum-tech hanging on to the cymbal stand so it doesn’t fall down, and everybody jumping on the last note of the set. P!SCO
Great pleasure to be in HK to cover the event and to see all the beautiful wild faces at the show. Now we’re back to studio and work on the last batch of photos for DAY 3! Hope you enjoy the weekend and our recap*
One consequence of moving a Fri/Sat hardcore music fest to Sun/Mon was lots of noise complaints from the neighborhood. Not only loud music, but they went past midnight on Sunday. I wonder what the city of Taichung will require of the festival before issuing a permit for 2016?
If there was ever a unit that would make the best of a trying situation, it would be team P!SCO. Flight back from Korea was 4 hours delayed – the HeartTown Festival set time moved up — they just moved up their appearance at the Rock Girl exhibition (Shin Kong Mitsukoshi) in Kaohsiung, and raced up to rock out in Taichung. Awesome! =D
Okay, HeartTown fb just posted the schedule for Monday, they didn’t even have time to format it into a grid:

Obviously, this could change. In fact, it changed a few times while I was looking up the translations of the band names. =P
This is a festival of mostly punk and rock bands, but I see they have some acoustic pop things here and there, like Murmurshow. I hope the volume from the neighboring stages isn’t overwhelming…
Wow, it’s just not a good weekend at all for Heart Town organizers! =(
They have some international bands with travel issues, unable to fly in. And the weather is crap. I think they are going to salvage the festival by pushing it back to Sunday and Monday, with as many bands as possible playing. I haven’t seen a new program grid.
I feel so bad for all involved, what a nightmare!
iNDIEVOX fb posted this photo also, with the (translated) caption, “Most Hardcore music festival, most Hardcore lineup, Hardcore staff, plus the Hardcore weather. Really is a last resort, blew down the equipment by a typhoon, staff have worked hard!”
UPDATE: HeartTown just posted: “You, wait! Released tomorrow listings within two hours!” (That should be by midnight or so, local time.)
UPDATE: still working on the schedule (photo posted at 1:15 a.m. local time
UPDATE: I wouldn’t call this carved in stone, but the new schedule for Sunday-Day 1 was just posted at 1:45 a.m. local time. “Towels, wallets, Shoes, Raincoat”
So many pieces to put together, what bands are still able to play, can they travel, multiple stages, soggy conditions, etc. And I’m assuming they are still going to have Day 2 of the festival on Monday.
