Vodka Collins ウォッカコリンズ, glam rock from 1972 Tokyo! The first Japanese glam rock single “Sands Of Time/Automatic Pilot” and it was sung by an American, Alan Merrill who wrote the song! Alan Merrill アラン・メリル in Tokyo 1973, then with the glam rock band Vodka Collins ウォッカコリンズ . Merrill, an American and New York born, wrote and sang the first glam rock recordings in Japanese (“Automatic Pilot” and “Sand Of Time” on the “Tokyo New York” LP) with lyrics by the band’s drummer Hiroshi Oguchi.
