Plot: You are a barista about to close the shop when you find your favorite
customer, Jinyoung, still here and offering to help you clean up.
You sigh with a sense of relief as you lock the coffee shop doors, glad to
finally end the day. You loved the coffee shop with all your heart—it was your
grandmother’s gift to you before passing away—but some days all you wanted was
to be home and very far away from the smell of coffee. Today was one of those
around swiftly, surprised by the sudden voice. Your expression of alarm melted
into softness as you saw your favorite customer staring back at you. An amused
smile spread across his face.
“You scare so
easily,” he commented.
You blush shyly.
“Sorry Jinyoung-sshi, I thought everyone left.”

“You were so
quiet today, it slipped my mind,” you defended yourself.

said you were my favorite?”
“Are you a
player-type?” he asked. “Why would you write a message on my coffee cup every
day if I’m not your favorite? That’s no good, Y/N, you’re toying with my heart.”
He grabbed at
his chest, feigning heartbreak. You chuckled at his expression, happy to see
that Jinyoung was in a more playful mood than usual. You walked past him and
back behind the counter.
“Well I wouldn’t
have to write you messages on cups if I had your number,” you replied just as

look, trying to laugh off your own embarrassment. Where did that line even come

loudly at this. He knew there was a reason this was his favorite coffee shop.
He smiled before setting his phone down on the counter and quietly walking away
to help clear off the tables.
You smile when
you see his screen. It was on the page for new contact listings. And he said you were smooth. You glanced at Jinyoung’s
back before punching in your number, the small smile on your face growing wider.
“You can go if
you want, Jinyoung-sshi. I can clean up on my own.”
He shook his
head, his back still to you.
“No, no, I want
to help,” he insisted as he brought a tray of dirty coffee cups over to the
counter. “So I can stay your favorite.”
taking the tray from him. “Jinyoung-sshi, you’ve been so loyal to this shop,
practically half of the revenue is from you. You are favorite by default.”
“What can I say,
I love this coffee shop.”
Giving up on
your cleaning, you step out from behind the counter and take a seat on the
stool beside Jinyoung. You prop your elbow on the counter and lean on your hand
to get a closer look at him.
“Do you really?”
you ask sincerely.
“Of course. I’m
here every day, aren’t I?”
“Oh, it isn’t
because I’m pretty?” you joke, laughing loudly when you see his face go
serious, looking unamused. Your laughter brings a smile to his face though. “But
seriously though, you like the shop? Even though my grandmother isn’t running

He grasped your

“Why do you

A sketch page based on a Pre-Halo event Fire Team Quiver when they first received their MJOLNIR Mark IV armor systems. Before that time they wore the SPI Armor Systems as they are SPARTAN IIIs.
I wanted to add more sketches, like 3 of the Spartans taking down a Mgaelekgolo or even more CQC between Spartans and Sangheili and Jiralhanae. But decided that nah! I don’t have any good design/angles for these moments and I want to save them for the comic in the future.
I don’t have much time to draw lately as work is super busy until they hire some new people. But I always try to draw or doodle something around Pat’s birthday. One hour time limit. Happy birthday to the biggest inspiration of my life.
