This art is super good but I wish the flashing effect were scaled down, I feel it diminishes the art as well as makes it harder to get nice screencaps.

Jack wins.

He did the thing. He did the thing where he wills for more power and gets it. This is all taking place in a spiritual form and this show does not have episode to episode continuity, but I feel so validated in every way I’ve described his magic sword. I am the absolute best at magic swords you guys.

He scaled himself up to the shadow dragon’s size. Badass.

He grabs and throws the energy ball back. What are these DBZ shenanigans? I love this!

Jack wins super hard.

Everyone gets their souls back! Good end!

Okay! This wasn’t the Shadow vs Light fight I expected, but it was still one in the end. It was also a fantastic display of creeping horror and gorgeous art. You can’t tell me this episode isn’t a 10/10. You can’t.

Because it is.

March 27, 1941. Yugoslavia. Yugoslav tank French production of the Renault R35 on the streets of Belgrade. The inscription on the tank: “For king and Fatherland”. The picture was taken on the day of the military coup, in which opponents of the accession of Yugoslavia to the Tripartite Pact was the ouster of the Prince Regent Paul, and to the throne, erected a 17-year-old king Peter II.

March 27, 1941. Yugoslavia. A patrol of the Yugoslav army in Belgrade on the day of the anti-fascist coup in the street Srpski the Vladar in the area of one of the Royal residences.

This art is so choice I’m in love. Anyway this thing wants Jack devoured asap. Maybe it recognises the threat that he is?

Gorgeous, if horrifying.

HAH! He’s force-controlling his sword! Hell yes I called that! Admittedly he can only do it in a spiritual form but you know what I’ll take it. Also, big pointer: even after having his soul devoured, Jack still had a spiritual copy of his sword on him and it responds to his own mind. I am NOT wrong about the depth of magic in and in-between both him and that blade.

Samurai Jack, loose in the soul pit. Begun the party-times have.

I had a 7 pound weighted lap pad that I got in a donors choose project, but today a student decided to slam it on a chair. It exploded ALL OVER the room. Like there is blue goo on my desk opposite where this happened; it is on the walls and ceilings. It wasn’t even a student who needed it or was upset, she is just a student who thinks she can do whatever she wants with anyone’s stuff. My co-teacher had to go teach in a different room because the mess was so bad.

It is just so frustrating to try to have helpful tools for kids, but They always get broken and lost. It was just a very shocking thing to walk into. It was just a rough day all around.

Well how about that he actually caught them. Good going, Jack.

Kid you should not be hiding in this terrifying building either. Come on now, time to leave.

I’d feel that way if I lived here too.

Jack faces are 10/10 today folks.

Oh man Jack’s face at seeing the way out walled off is the absolute best thing this episode is doing the best crawling horror haunted house I’ve seen in a while. Generally I can’t stand horror but animated forms without jumpscares and more creeping terror is what I’m actually into one-hundred percent.

This spirit is showing off quite a lot, flinging things about poltergeist style to weaken Jack. He’s yet to draw his sword though.

Do you think Jack is immune to evil possession? I’d imagine so with the exposure and symbiosis he has to a divine sword.

Oh man if it’s trying to suck his soul out it’s got a bit of a bigger meal than it expected. That’s one of the most fun concepts I can imagine, soul or magic draining beings who are like “Time to chow down” only to realise they can’t consume all of their chosen target and then become terrified. Tell me about your favourite shows/games/etc where that’s happened.

Welp, looks like Jack’s been vored. It was only a matter of time.

And now he’s in the soul pit. How’re you going to work your way out of this one? I do so wonder indeed.
