Basket-hilt Claymore Sword

  • Measurements: 98.75 cm
  • Provenance: this sword belonged to His Majesty George III. It was brought from Augusta Lodge, March 28th, 1822

The sword has a steel hilt consists of pommel, tang button, a Stirling type basket pommel inlaid with brass, sideguards with heart-shapes and claws on knuckleguards. The barrel-shaped grip has rayskin bound with silver and a silver ferrule, while the sword features a straight, backedged blade.

This sword is as tall as he is and he’s carrying it around like nothing.

The average (scottish) Claymore you see above weighs almost 3 kilos and measures roughly about 140 cm from hilt to tip of the blade.

So only if Hyrule’s way of sword smithing is EXTREMELY different from ours…

then Link is a 4'7 tiny buff powerhouse of a man that will set Ganon on fire
