The signs as Dr Seuss quotes

Aries: “If things start happening, don’t worry, don’t stew, just go right along and you’ll start happening too.”

Taurus: “I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

Gemini: “Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”

Cancer: “To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world.”

Leo: “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”

Virgo: “It is fun to have fun but you have to know how.”

Libra: “You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

Scorpio: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

Sagittarius: “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”

Capricorn: “I’m afraid that sometimes you’ll play lonely games too. Games you can’t win ‘cause you’ll play against you.”

Aquarius: “Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.”

Pisces: “Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them.”

All: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

David Tennant and the Incredible Hulk

Question: Who is your favorite superhero?
David: When I was a kid, it was Incredible Hulk. Definitely. Definitely.
Because there was something about how he wasn’t quite a hero. It was deeply tragic, his story.  Partly the tv show but also the comic books - this sense that he was almost like a child, he was kind of lost. I just loved it and I think that’s a brilliant character.  I used to love him.

and i’m still stuck in fairytales about fairies
labyrinths in disneyland paris
barefoot running on new cut sumer grass
childlike dreaming, the early years of innocence
take me back

i breath nostalgia
oxygen for inspiration and bittersweet
i love going back to what i can’t go back to
it’s kind of magical
i take energy from old photographs

Books Features - Sir Quentin Blake on working with a big friendly giant - BBC
Interview with illustrator about his working relationship with Roald Dahl

I’m probably showing my age here, but I grew up with Sir Quentin Blake’s illustrations.  My freehand style is partially influenced by Sir Blake’s works.

So it’s really cool seeing his perspective on working with one of Britain’s most famous children’s authors.  See for yourself, with lots of pictures!

(Region-free by the way, so anyone can view it, yay!)
