can’t wait to have more/better pastel rooms!

7+ hours later i’m still in shock and awe about that direct

this may be an unpopular opinion, but i honestly really like when you first get an island, how serene it is and how innocent it is. sure, i do like lots of furniture and stuff. i did what most everyone else did and packed it and had lots of trees. lately i’ve been scaling back on trees, but i don’t feel it’s enough. i’m looking back at the first few weeks and months of my first island and longing for its simplicity and how i prefer how some of it was. i feel i was trying to make it something it never was, in an effort to make it accepted by people. but i don’t think i should have.

maybe i’ll bring back some of the natural landscaping. i really do miss it and feel that nostalgia for when the game was still brand new and no one was competing to be accepted or have such a glorious town. i have towns that use a lot of the natural landscaping, so i feel doing that with my precious first a little more than it is may help me feel better about it. and who cares if no one else likes it, what matters is that i like it. so i hope i can achieve that
