Please do not assume that because I am Christian I am your enemy.

Some of us want equal rights far all.

Some of us want don't think you should be hungry because you can't afford food.

Some of us don't think you should be sick because you can't afford care.

Some of us don't think you should be homeless because you can't afford housing.

Some of think religious freedom, for all religions, is a human right and should be protected.

Some of us think that children should not have to worry about being shot at school, no matter what it takes to get there.

Some of think there is a difference between a handout and getting the help you need from the taxes you paid for.

Some of us think addiction is a sickness that needs treatment, not a crime to be punished.

Some of us believe that your choices are yours to make, not ours.

Some of us realize that just because something does not affect us does not mean it's not important.

Some of us believe everyone should have access to the same resources and opportunities, no matter who they are or how they look or live.

Some of us believe the rich are killing this country and should not be allowed a fifth yacht while mothers watch their children starve.

Some of us believe that you must do whatever you have to to protect your family and your courage to escape should be applauded, not criminalized.

Some of us want you to be safe, happy, loved, and whole, however that looks for you.

Some of know that kindness changes hearts much more than rage and hate.

Some of us know that the color of your skin should not determine the color of respect you are given.

Some of us love you, just as you are, because that is what God calls us to do.

If someone calls themselves a Christian and then passes judgment on you, spouts hate at you, expects you to conform to their beliefs or lifestyle, looks down on you for you past or present choices, acts like they are better than you, refuses to accommodate for you, or makes you feel unsafe, unwanted, or undervalued, they are NOT living a Christian life. The call of christianity is love. If I am not showing love I am failing you, I am failing myself, and I am failing God. I am called to spread Truth and Love.

And the Truth is that you are loved by a God who created you with a purpose, who wants nothing more than your joy, and who will fight for you when the whole world is against you. He wants you just as you are, right now, no strings attached.
