??? are you seeing what's happening in Berlin with the Palestine Congress??

[URGENT: German police have announced they are shutting down the Palestine Congress and demanded delegates leave immediately. They have threatened to use force and already arrested one of the organizers, Jewish activist Udi Raz. He is the third person to be arrested today, two of them Jewish.

The announcement comes after police stormed the speakers' stage just 20 minutes after the congress had begun, shut down the organizers' livestream and then broke into the control room and shut off the power.

Police then went round to each delegate and demanded they stop livestreaming from their phones.

900 police are deployed to the congress, whose start they held up for hours. They demanded that organizers allow all German media into the congress, ironically to "safeguard free speech" and then denied entry to most of the registered delegates.

The primary aim of the congress was to raise awareness about Germany's complicity in Israel's genocide, for which it is facing charges in the ICJ.]

I didn't even conclude my Ganondorf thoughts on Bloo's poll like an idiot

Tbh there's a part of me that gets juuuuuust slightly annoyed that we always feel compelled to preface Rauru's intent with "well I don't think it was nefarious" because the question then becomes: does the intent have to come from a place of nefariousness for the actions taken to be deemed wrong? Of course, because the story he's in frames him as a benevolent and courageous king who sacrificed his life to seal Ganondorf away we have to assume that he is a king with a good heart and who wants the best. People seem to get hung up on the methods being used far too much. "Oh he just sent multiple invitations Ganondorf didn't have to actually accept", "oh, he asked for fealty from the other tribes and they gave it to him", "oh Ganondorf attacked Hyrule with Moldugas and Rauru not only defended Hyrule but was kind enough to not punish Ganondorf for it". With Ganondorf it's like "Oh he's so bad he kills people", "oh he's subjugating people by making their land suffer" "oh he's sending armies of monsters to hurt people" etc. However, when you zoom out and look at it, aren't they doing the same thing? They're subjugating people using the power they wield. With Rauru, of course the tribes gave him their fealty: they knew what his power was like, they knew him to be a Zonai, and thus they submitted with the hope that Rauru would remain as kind as he presented himself. Sending multiple invitations *is* coercion. It's not "sending monsters at your doorstep" coercive put it is very much "I'm not asking you, I'm telling you to come join this country". And, Rauru demonstrated what opposition to his kingdom would look like when he eliminated Ganondorf's moldugas in a matter of seconds. He didn't punish Ganondorf because well, if that was the best Ganondorf could do he was child's play no? It would be far more beneficial to have his fealty and the fealty of the Gerudo than to punish him for something he handled so easily. What was the purpose of creating Hyrule? Rauru and Sonia were building their shrines and sealing demons before their kingdom was established with no impediment it seems, even in the Gerudo desert where Ganondorf must have been ruling at some point. Could an alliance not be founded, an agreement between tribes, that would assist Rauru and Sonia without the need of a rigid monarchy? These tribes have their own lands and their own rulers and their own warriors after all? What was the purpose of centralization? My point is that, no matter how nice a person may be on a personable level, no one establishes a kingdom with altruism at heart, especially when there is no pertinent reason for one, especially one that demands fealty. Also, I still find it concerning and hilarious that the Secret Stones were essentially royal family property until Ganondorf stole one and forced Rauru to share in order to have some form of an advantage over Ganondorf. Everyone thank Ganondorf for facilitating the fair distribution of divine nukes amongst all people 👏👏👏

As for OoT, and this is where my frustration lies with TotK trying to imitate its story beats, is that there is a significant context: a civil war. The tribes of Hyrule were unhappy with each other in some form or capacity that resulted in a war which ended up with Hylians presumably winning and unifying everyone under their banner. There is a reason for this kingdom to exist, at least.

NAW I had to preface it because I'm not about to have people come in my shit like he didn't MEAN to do all that with bad intent!!!! Hes not Ganondorf!!!! and I ain't arguing about games for babies legend of zelda at this point ,but you know what today I'm getting crazy and I'm just gonna come out with it since we having this conversation.

Everything you said about Rauru I wholeheartedly agree with, like his intentions do not lessen what he ends up doing. And yes even if Rauru isn't doing a violenceTM doesnt lessen that he sent multiple invitations to Ganondorf.

And yes, no one forms a kindom with alturism in their heart.

And because Nintendo wanted to make sure they made Rauru like...idk likeable? And just? I think they made him an idiot. Like a dumb mf who can't do any wrong or something because loom he's giving Ganomdorf chances!!! Yeah you're right Bloo he didnt kill Ganondorf and thats because one, the plot calls for Ganondorf not to die that early and 2 oh my god could you imagine if Rauru tried to kill Ganondorf? What if the audience tries to sympathize with that evil man!!!!! And lo they wouldnt give Ganondorf a shred of nuance. He essentually brings over what he was in botw, a force for nothing but evil with little to no personality beaides being a monster, and of course this has hurt totk's plot and made it weaker overall. But holy shit lemme turn the conversation like every so slightly about Rauru because I don't know if anyone really talks about this one.

Don't yall think it's fucked up that Rauru is essentually an "ancient alien"? You know one of them "everyone was so stupid and needed the technology of something that ancient people's interpreted as Gods from space" or in this case the sky to make them progress as a civilization? Because it makes me fucking insane, and I'm about to get into the depths for a moment, (because screw it I ain't drawing I wanna throw out my shit right now) and this is where I don't know if not doing the story in house (given the little things we know from the credits for TotK) or covid delaying stuff did this but I always found it genuinely crazy as I said in this post that Rauru is seen on the relief in Josha's lab? Well pavilion I guess, anyways.

So if I have my shit right, and this is me throwing shit out here for everyone because it's a thought I had, don't you think it's weird when talking to the constructs on the sky islands they say something like zonite is a limited resource up here? And they're quickly running out? Ain't it messed up Rauru desended from the sky was proclaimed as a God or proclaimed himself as one, married Sonia which I'm taking a bet for the Hylians was like marrying the pope, you know did all of his shit yadah yadah sent out his invitations yadah yadah he gives some people his god rocks its like oot all over again giving the keys to the sacred realm to Darunia and King Zora, blah blah YEAH LOOK AT WHAT I CAN DO IF YOU DISOBAY ME AND yesh Bloo, you're right it's funny that Ganondorf got the Nuke rock and put a wedge into shit, I still don't understand the riddle of the rocks other then I guess Rauru and Sonia had the most powerful rocks, anyways where I was going with this was

THERE ARE NOW MAJOR MINES UNDER THESE AREAS?

Now there is probably something I missed in games saying the mines are older then Rauru or something, idk, that's probably the case because I tried to damn fact check myself on the wiki but not even the mods have much of anything for the most anticipated best selling zelda game of all time and its gonna take me a lot of time to dig through totk to find this possible the mines are older then Rauru and there is a chance it's not in game and Aonuma and Fujibyashi said it in an interview that needs to get translated because!!!! You know they can't put critical story info in the game all of us spent 70 dollars on IF not more in other places, because no one had their shit together for totk.

I'm just gonna be rambling at this point I'm trying to keep it together but I hate we never get to see what ancient Hyrule was like. We don't know nothing about anything, we don't know the champions names, we don't know what the world was like

Oh my god I wrote up a whole paragraph and then realized we see nothing but Hylians/....Sheikah? Idk man I don't know what Nintendo is doing with the sheikah no more, but as I was saying we don't see any like...background npcs that aren't hylian, and we dont know shit about that hylians at this time wither. And all we see and know about them is that they're

.hey, so off of me trying to write coherently, I just remembered the uh, tablets during the dragon clothes quest. Those are Hylians in them, what the fuck. It just ads to the what the hell is going on to me, like okay....great we understand nothing about no one and I can't really type because of it. I though the ancient ruins were supposed to be solely Zonai in origin.

Dog there is nothing to this fucking game I wanted to talk about Rauru being an ancient alien which he is and wait did the gerudo even build the lightning temple where was I going with this WHERE WAS THIS GAME GOING

So here I am. Sitting on my couch. I don't know how long I've been typing realizing just more how frustrating TotK was, Rauru in particular. With what I said about Ganondorf being dumbed down to I want to destroy the world and nothing else the strong overtake the weak and whatever they were doing for him idk I guess what I'm trying to say is.

I think Rauru is an idiot, I felt before in my post that, because there are people in this Fandom that will straight up argue with you about motivations on his part because eveyone loooves goat dad, that I had to say something to make sure no one got on my ass about it. But now I'm here, replying to Bloo's response about how it doesn't matter how nice that goat is why are they trying to establish a kingdom through join me now and I think that there is a possibility that Rauru did ALL of it.....to mine up Zonite.

I'm like....floating here thinkin about it. I cannot belive this fucking goat or the bitch that wrote this plot. The kingdom of hyrule was probably founded on mass scale strip mining. Hello tribes of hyrule, i am a god with magic rocks, join me so I can mine up your resources and not even run the damn kingdom I made yall join, everything is the same but now there is a major mine under your house, goodbye.

Just came home from work and finished reading husband’s post.

Small clarification in that Rauru did NOT give the Ancient Sages their Secret Stones when they joined Hyrule, but instead as a feeble attempt to stop Ganondorf after he took one for himself and murdered Sonia.

So basically, it’s NOT a show of sharing power with allies, it’s a last resort because another guy has my nukes and now they mean nothing.

I don’t think my man even really tried to establish amicability with the people he supposedly welcomed into his kingdom. 👊😔

Congrats to Ganondorf for redistributing the nukes @bloobluebloo kiss your wife for me
