you can’t read a few text posts on tumblr and reblog a couple pictures of black lives matters and think you’re not racist. racism is a deeply engrained part of our culture - sometimes it’s not even conscious. you have to constantly question yourself. it’s pretty hard to unlearn 400+ years of institutional racism and in order for us to properly dismantle systems of injustice, we have to stop pretending we all aren’t part of the problem.
you either have heart palpitations or gay thoughts
It’s all fun and gay until you get a crush on her
Update: She’s my girlfriend now it’s all fun and gay again
this is better literature than any novel written by a man
“Let’s get drunk at midnight, listen to our favorite songs and kiss so much that our lips burn”

Giving up on a show once they kill off your fav and realizing it wasn’t that great of a show and you only liked it for one reason

we all live for something
*When you’ve been around straight people for too long*
you know what’s hot?
open and honest communication, genuine effort to understand someone else’s perspective, love and affection,
dear young lesbians,
if you don’t kiss a girl until you’re 17, 19, 23, that’s okay. even if your friends have been kissing boys since they were 12, it’s okay. even if you feel lonely or like there’s something wrong with you because of it, you’re okay and you’re perfectly normal.
if you’ve kissed boys but not a girl and you don’t want those kisses to count as your first kiss, that’s fine and whichever kiss you want to be your first can be. if you feel like you’ll never ever kiss a girl, i promise you will. i know it, it’s written in the stars.
we don’t get it easy, and sometimes it takes a lot longer for us. but i promise to you that it’ll happen sooner than you think. i promise you will kiss a girl, and that when it happens, it’ll be worth the wait.
i love you.
