brevoortformspring: I think there’s a bit of a difference between the portrayal of the Yellow Claw and the use of a term like Juggernaut which has entered the parlance.

Of course there's a difference. The Yellow Claw depiction is overt bigotry, the use of 'juggernaut' is subversive. There's also the fact that the meaning of 'juggernaut' is buried in its etymology (but nonetheless there). It was certainly intended to be a slur against Hindus, and Jagannath festivals are still held in India celebrating Vishnu/Krishna.

I'm curious where Marvel draws the line. Apparently it's bigotry when *I* question Black Panther's fight with Black Star (vs his fight with Gladiator and Co.), but it's not bigotry when Marvel depicts Shiva as an angry, bulbous oaf who grapples with Thor.
