oh of course of course!! I'm a praying mantis therian myself but I often neglect the creepy crawly (affectionate) side of this blog so I really appreciate this ask! /g

Life with bug wings

- sleeping on your stomach with no blanket to avoid shedding scales from your wings (those with transparent membranes such as bees dont need to worry as much)

- buzzing your wings when annoyed, similar to the action of huffing

- flitting them when you're excited

- your friends inSIST on using your wings as a fan on hot days, you have to hold onto something and just begrudgingly buzz them while your friends sigh in relief

- accessories include membrane clips, which are similar to hairclips except more ornate, and wing powder which has the appearance of fine metallic dust that you can apply to the edges of your wings like eyeshadow'

- you have a very high calorie intake, as your wings require a huge amount of energy to function. If you were teeny tiny this wouldn't be a problem, but given you're the size of a person you gotta practically inhale those protein smoothies

Being a therian, is sometimes perking up when called 'it', 'beast', 'creature' or 'thing', and it brings me great joy whenever I seen it.

We've been ostracized by society, and these are words slung onwards to us with no hesitation. Even then, reclaiming the words of punishment and turning them to psalms of euphoria is something most of us wish.

So to all my fellow beasts in the woods, creatures of the unknown, things in the depths of the human psyche, and all of the 'its', I wish you a good day, a pleasant hunt, and a joyful existence.
