I have to get up earlier than my usual for a work event, and I am *not happy* but also/ I’m going to need to be up earlier than this for three straight weeks soon and I am *dreading* it. Who all decided that the day starts early?!
I was *in the middle of the event* when the news of the SCOTUS ruling on Afirmative Action was announced- and you could tell immediately who had the alert of their phone. It pissed a lot of people off.

I’m reading The Fiancé Farce because my library hold came up and I promised my friend I’d give traditional romance another try. This book is both the most and least emotionally fraught reading I’ve done in a while, lol. Is this what they call an emotional roller coaster?
I had a sudden flash of memory of a fic series from pre-AO3 called “music of the spheres” I’m like 90% sure it was DC fandom- does anyone else remember this??
I started watching Shiny Happy People- episode 1 last night, I’m starting 2 tonight - and I had a thought- episode 1 focuses a lot on the role TLC had in enabling the Duggers, and while I know true crime docuseries aren’t the same type of reality tv, I think it’s really telling that the series is as successful as it is- almost as voyeuristic, but though a very different lens.

I hyper focused for three hours on my class prep for my summer class, which isn’t my longest stint, but it was enough that I’m sitting here in the dark because I don’t have the wherewithal to get up to turn on the light, doomscrolling because now I can’t seem to focus on anything.
It’s a good thing my water is within reach.
I might take my ass out to the theatre next week to see Spiderverse. It’s *everywhere* and I want to see it so bad!
I have started playing Breath of the Wild. I am not sure I’m even done with the tutorial yet, and I think the issue keeping me from gaming is that I can’t sit on our couch to do it.
Okay- so, I lasted until the first fight when I died, lol. Considering that I woke up this morning and anting to keep playing seems like a good sign! I want to complete this game before I get another Zelda game, and maybe by then the new one will be available used and for a lot less money lol!

So I got Stardew Valley and my wife got Pokémon Violet, and she’s currently downloading everything she can for for free from the store.
I’m thinking of trying my hand at Zelda. We have Ocarina of Time for free- can I just right in there?
