I think there is an argument for honey being vegan... But it's the complete opposite of what this moron suggests. Bees are, in fact, quite intelligent. Yeah, there's the whole "move the hive five feet over and they get lost" thing, but if your house suddenly teleported a mile away from its present location, I bet you'd be pretty confused too.
But the reason this factors into this? Bees are fully aware that their excess honey is being harvested. And they continue to provide humans with their excess honey, because a hive under the watch of a beekeeper is a lot safer than a hive out in the wild. This is a perfect example of symbiosis. The humans protect the bees, the bees provide their excess honey. And if I remember correctly, bees actually form an emotional connection with their human caretakers. And if their caretakers abuse or neglect them, the colony can just up and leave and set up shop somewhere else.
