Having this thought about Phoebe painting Jamie’s nails while he and Roy are watching her one day and he loves them. Like he really loves them. And later that night he can’t stop looking at them because they’re so pretty. And maybe his eyes start to get a little watery because his dad would have never let this fly. He was a fucking footballer “not some f*g who gets his nails done” he could practically hear James’ voice say. And eventually after Roy tells him that he looks fit as fuck with his nails painted and it doesn’t make him any less of a man or any less of a footballer, Jamie decides, yeah, fuck it. I’m gonna do what makes me happy. And so now he and Keeley meet twice a month to get their nails done, and sometimes Roy even comes along but only ever gets black nail polish.
