Have you ever met someone who just utterly shocked the core of your being? They didn’t have to do anything drastic. Just the mere fact that they were being who they were; that in itself was enough to inspire you. The absolute interconnectedness you felt when you talked, how everything felt so natural, how you both just instantly clicked, how you felt so comfortable in their presence. You didn’t need to be conscious of what you said, or your mannerisms, or how you looked, or anything trivial of the sort; you just knew that they liked you for who you are. And that sort of baffles you in a way. It’s the sort of feeling that you experience and you never quite knew you were missing out on it until it happened to you.
Yet, as with a lot of things that are extraordinarily powerful and beautiful, it only lasted a fleeting moment; like the lightning that brightens up your whole world in the night - giving you a glimpse of all the possibilities that surround you but only for that fraction of a second, and then it’s gone, back to the darkness. Only now you have seen what could have been, in a sense, and you aren’t quite sure if anything will ever feel the same again afterwards. Yet weirdly, you are still glad that it all happened?
