Simple Moon Spell - One Dozen Wishes
Intent: To create a jar of potential wishes, to be used as needed.
Materials:
- Small Jar
- Whole Bay Leaves (12)
- Moonlight
In addition to their usefulness in spells for protection, wisdom, and healing, bay leaves are a potent ingredient for wishmaking. This spell does not specifically create a wishing spell, but it prepares a small supply of leaves for future spellwork, using the fulfilling energy of the full moon to pre-charge the component.
Obtain a bag of whole bay leaves. These can usually be found in the spices and seasonings aisle at the grocery store, or you can order them from a botanical supplier if you wish. Prepare a clean, dry jar with a lid as you see fit. Select twelve leaves, as whole and unbroken as possible, and place them into the jar. Cap the jar and leave it to soak up the moonlight on the next full moon evening.
When you have need of some wishmaking magic, take a single leaf from the jar, write your wish upon it, and use it in your spell. The use of the leaf depends on your casting method - you can include it in a jar or sachet charm, cast it into fire or water, or bury it to help your desired results grow, to name just a few.
Use the leaves as needed and when the supply is exhausted, you can pick twelve new leaves and refill the jar.
Happy Witching! 🔮🍃
Toni Lee Sharpless mysteriously vanished during the early morning hours of August 23rd, 2009. The 29 year-old woman was last seen by her friend Crystal Johns, shortly after the two of them left the home of former 76er Willie Green. Toni and Crystal had gone out to a few nightclubs the previous night before gathering at Willie’s Gladwyne, Pennsylvania home for an afterparty.
Shortly after 4:30am, Willie approached Crystal and said, “your friend is freaking out, and you both need to leave.” Toni had apparently gotten into an altercation with another guest in the kitchen, which resulted in her pouring champagne on the floor and kicking things around. Toni and Crystal left in Toni’s car after that, and Toni was reportedly very angry and upset while leaving. After driving a few blocks, Crystal told Toni that she was too drunk to drive. This angered Toni, and she ended up kicking Crystal out of her car. Toni then drove off alone and has never been seen or heard from again.
Two weeks after Toni was last seen, her car’s license plate was scanned by an automatic license plate reader in Camden, New Jersey. By time the authorities in Pennsylvania were made aware of this, they were unable to track down the vehicle. Clues about Toni’s whereabouts where scarce after that—in fact, it was three years before they received another lead. On November 30th, 2012, a private investigator received a letter postmarked from Trenton, New Jersey. The letter stated, “[Toni] got into an argument with a police officer, she died as a result, and I was paid much-needed $5,000 to move her car from Brooklawn to a shop outside of Boston.” It is not clear if investigators believe this letter is authentic. Toni’s car has never been located.
Toni remains missing. Crystal Johns and Willie Green have both cooperated with the investigation and they have also both passed a polygraph. No persons of interest or suspects have been identified at this time. Toni left behind a daughter and many other beloved family members. Her family is desperately hoping for answers in her case. If you have any information that could lead to Toni’s whereabouts, please contact authorities at (610) 388-1776.
24 year-old Karlyn Ramirez (pictured left) was murdered by her husband, 37 year-old Maliek Kearney (pictured top right) on August 24th, 2015. Both Karlyn and Maliek were soldiers in the US Army, and they had a four-month-old daughter together. However, at the time of Karlyn’s death, she and Maliek were stationed at two different places. Karlyn was stationed at Fort Meade and lived in Severn, Maryland. Maliek, on the other hand, lived in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. The two had a very rocky relationship, even though they had only been married for five weeks. Prior to her death, Karlyn told Maliek she wanted a divorce. Maliek, who was already having an affair with 33 year-old Dolores Delgado (pictured bottom right), was angry at Karlyn’s request for divorce. He allegedly told Dolores that he was going to kill Karlyn unless they ended up reconciling. Together, Maliek and Dolores began to put this plan in motion.
On the day of Karlyn’s death, Dolores gave Maliek a gun and allowed him to borrow her car to drive to Karlyn’s home. She also agreed to lie to investigators by telling them that Maliek was with her at the time Karlyn was killed. Dolores claimed that she thought Maliek and Karlyn would actually end up reconciling, but instead Maliek did what he originally planned to do, and shot Karlyn multiple times. Karlyn’s body was found by the police the next day, with their four-month-old baby laying in her arms. The baby was fortunately not harmed.
In the months following Karlyn’s death, Maliek allegedly cozied up to Karlyn’s family as he played the role of the grieving widower. Dolores was quite uncomfortable with this, and she had allegedly grown fearful of Maliek after he committed the murder. Still, the two continued to have a sexual relationship up until they were finally arrested in October 2016. It took investigators over a year to gather enough evidence to charged not only Maliek for Karlyn’s murder, but Dolores for being an accomplice to the murder as well.
On August 8th, 2017, Dolores plead guilty to being an accomplice in Karlyn’s murder. She was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Maliek still maintains his innocence and plead not guilty at trial. Dolores testified in his trial; she once again confessed to providing Maliek with a gun, car, and alibi while he murdered his wife. On August 9th, 2018, the jury found Maliek guilty of crossing state lines to commit domestic violence resulting in the death of Karlyn Ramirez. He was sentenced to life in prison. [x]

Museo de las Momias.
The Museo de las Momias came to be after a grave tax, which was implemented in 1865, caused the city of Guanajuato to dig up any bodies related to family members who couldn't pay it, in an effort to extort them.
Because of the dry conditions of the soil, when the bodies were dug up they were incredibly well-preserved. The city decided to keep the mummies in an ossuary underneath the cemetery in case loved ones could eventually pay the grave tax to rebury them.
The horrible practice didn't end until 1958, and by then the ossuary had gathered enough mummified, disinterred bodies to become a museum, which is a popular — albeit slightly distasteful — tourist attraction today.
The Phoenix Lights
Those who witnessed the bizarre lights described them as “otherworldly” and the phenomena is remembered fondly each year since it — whatever it was — was spotted. According to the Mutual UFO Network, on March 13, 1997 between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m., thousands of people reported seeing strange, bright lights flying over Nevada, Arizona and part of Mexico. “It wasn’t just one event, there were many events across the state …
Faery Circles
These fairy circles have been puzzling the scientists for a very long time. Even today the origin of circles found in the arid grasslands of the western part of Southern Africa is not known. One of the assumptions that could explain their appearance is a sand termite but the range of the phenomena is much wider that of the termite species.
