The Signs as Troye Sivan Songs (+ explanations)

Aries: FOOLS This one was actually the easiest because Aries are often called fools. It’s the youngest sign, the most childlike and naive because it’s at the beginning of the cycle. They act on instinct and would be the first to fall for someone without thinking it through. Their heads are in the clouds as well, so they’d be dreaming up a future with that person through it all and it just fits the song rather well.

Taurus: EASE Tauruses are very stable and thoughtful and family oriented, they’re your rock. Ease is a song about familial love and comfort, and that’s one of the things they love and do best. It’s who you would turn to if you felt alone or sad.

Gemini: Happy Little Pill Geminis are just insane, in the best of ways. The messed up concept of using false happiness to forget your troubles and just live in the moment is very suiting to Geminis, they tend to flit around and often live in a fantasy. Arguably, they’re more likely to use alcohol or drugs to get away from their problems. Geminis also have a tendency to put of a sort of shield without even realizing, they often act differently from how they feel inside.

Cancer: Gasoline Cancers are very emotional and get weighed down by their feelings. They also have a thing for reminiscing, they like to look back on the past. The result of that combination is that they often fall into a spiral of regret when bad things happen because they can’t seem to move on, they end up playing it back over and over in their heads and can’t find closure. They’d be desperate to just free themselves from the guilt and get on with things as normal but find it really difficult to.

Leo: WILD Leos are party people, and they love love. They’d be the type to have genuine passionate moments with people they only just met. Those beginnings of romance with a person are addictive to Leos, they live for that attention and lust. They also dramatize that moment in their heads and make it almost like a fantasy with heightened emotions and sensations, much like the song Wild.

Virgo: DKLA Virgos are very particular, and if something drags them down they’re the type that will eventually cut it out of their life completely, no matter how much it hurts. So if they got fucked over by love they’d be the most likely to react with “okay, no more love for me.” They’d like to believe the decision was primarily logic-based when in fact it would be driven by more heartache than they’d care to admit. According to Troye, DKLA is about someone who’s burnt out by love and just decides to take a break from it, so the song felt fitting.

Libra: Touch Libras are really flirty and very much about sensations. They also overthink things and get muddled up in thoughts, so in moments like those their minds would be racing and they’d have to push all of that back and just go for it, essentially.

Scorpio: BITE Scorpios are dark and mysterious motherfuckers. That whole half-sexy half-creepy vibe is very very Scorpio, they’d be the kind to smoothly lure in and dominate but it’s hidden under this really calm and controlled demeanor. A fucked up nightclub lullaby is a near perfect song to associate with a Scorpio.

Sagittarius: Fun Sagittariuses are the most likely to get hooked in by the military through the misleading methods Troye wrote about. They’re fun loving and tend to have a strong interest in travel, culture, and tradition, and they also have this sort of inner desire to escape and live in an alternate world. So promises of adventure combined with duty to their country would be very appealing to them.

Capricorn: The Fault in Our Stars Capricorns are so hardworking and persevere through practically anything. They tend to not want to let things go until they absolutely have to, it’s hard to get them to give up on something. They’re very loyal and caring in relationships too, so the dependent and sweet nature of the song fits a Capricorn’s way of being.

Aquarius: Papercut Aquariuses are very proud. When they get angry it consumes them and they don’t really feel things rationally, although they do think somewhat rationally. The thoughts described in the song of knowing you love someone but not quite remembering why in the moment because you’re fighting fit an Aquarius very well.

Pisces: THE QUIET Firstly, Pisces in theory are very in tune with their emotions and feel very attached to people, and if you ignore them or slowly cut them out of your life they might feel really lost because it’s like a part of them is gone, so “the quiet” would hurt them in particular. Another reason is that Pisces is a symbol of death; it’s the end of the astrological cycle before rebirth as Aries, so the gun sound in the song felt like an appropriate match.
