So lately I been getting into Sasha Grey.
Not her porn, adult entertainment of that kind has never done much for me, but Iike her persona. I saw some YouTube video of her cooking and girl can really cook. I saw a couple more of her cooking videos and some podcasts and interviews of her talking about her transition from porn to cinema, writing, producing content, etc.
She is really smart and down to earth. Really genuine, articulate and fiercely private about her personal life.
I got curious about her. There is not a lot about her personal life. All I got is that she is Greek, she has siblings and apparently has a working class background. Did like a year of college, got into porn, played of her cards well, got famous super fast by been genuine, different and strong, and transition accordingly to other stuff.
Such a smart women. Hearing her talked kind of got me the impression of listening my peers discussing a paper of some kind about cultural undertones of mass media. She almost sounds like a scholars.
I get the hipe and the attention. She definitely builds for that, and deserves it.
Have you read her books? Do you recommend them?. Could you elaborate a bit about the style of writing or the structure? I'm just trying to decide if I should give them a shot. Any ways, just wanted to talk about her with someone. Such a lovely smart woman.
I've only read the first book of the trilogy. I should probably read the rest. I read the first book when it was released (2013), as far as I remember it was an easy read, not boring but nothing special too. Who read the whole trilogy, share your opinions please? :)
