‘girl with a gorgeous voice sings in a weirdly industrial space that actually has incredible acoustics, turning the song into a heavenly choir of one’ is such a SPECIFIC genre of video and i never get tired of it
being an adult is just saying to yourself “this is the weekend i’ll clean my [x]” and then proceeding to not do that because it’s the weekend and you deserve to relax, goddamnit
why does this have 85K notes
because we reblogged it instead of cleaning our [x]
doctor who may be a silly sci-fi show but it's had some raw as fuck moments anyone remember that time donna was unknowingly trapped in a matrix-esque simulation and while kissing her computer generated children goodnight they straight up asked like are we real mummy?? "sometimes when you’re not here, it’s like we’re not here... even when you close your eyes... we just stop" and donna replies "well mummy promises to never close her eyes again" and as she goes to tuck them into bed she blinks and they fucking disappear and she starts screaming and weeping and my god this is supposed to be a kids show
and when donna took a left turn, instead of going right, and ended the fucking world, only to brave the apocalypse and make it out alive?? and when she, teary-eyed and weeping, convinced a jaded Doctor to save just one person from one of the worst disasters in history, just someone? and when she heard a song shared by the enslaved Ood that was so sorrowful and desolate that she couldn't take it anymore, and she decided to free them at any cost? and when she saved the life of Agatha Christie, the official "world's best-selling fiction writer" of all time? and when she comforted the ghost of a woman who died alone? donna had only one series but she also had the RANGE to be one of the best companions that Doctor Who has ever seen, and I love her to pieces
Donna Noble is a fucking legend
the most on-brand way to do a sequel to the dnd movie would be to have a totally different storyline, possibly even in a completely different world, with all-new characters….but keep the exact same cast. some of them playing Basically The Same Character As Last Time But In A Hat and With a New Voice, and some of them just going the TOTAL opposite direction. rege jean page still plays the overpowered dmpc chris pine’s character has sexual tension with. hugh grant still does the most. everyone still has intelligence as a dump stat.
Our beautiful home
after a long day of doing laundry for the entire neighborhood, i walk into my kitchen and cook an amazing gourmet feast, which i then eat entirely while crouched in the corner set aside for dining. afterwards, i tuck my son into solitary confinement before making the long trek down the master bedroom hallway to bed, where i settle in with my wife who just finished bathing in our second bathroom's indoor swimming pool
Please keep us updated on our wonderful Sims house
The Green brothers are great, fun creators and never deserved the hate they got on tumblr. Yes John got the most of it but Hank was called cringe and all they ever really did was exist on the internet earnestly and not be super ironic or sarcastic and just want to create a space for nerds that is completely different to the persecuted nerd men that dominate on spaces like twitter and Reddit. Nerdfighteria was a movement populated by nerdy teen women (and guys as well!) and it just wanted to be welcoming.

You CAN do deep squats, my friend!
I’ve seen a few of this guys vids (the pullup one most recently) floating around now and i cannot tell you how much i love them.
there’s so much emphasis on getting in shape and exercising, but it all just assumes that everyone can already do these exercises to begin with.
you need to build up your body’s muscles first and i will forever rage that PE/Gym class never teaches kids how
this man’s a pure blessing for breaking these exercises down to easier steps
Behold, the winner of the Trans-cendental Stories Fanart Poll on my Patreon! 🏳️⚧️I was so smitten by this beautiful story about love and second chances and living your truth in the face of a society that would rather not accept it. It was clever, funny, steamy, and gosh, it just ticked all my historical romance boxes. I adored it. 💕 Thank you, patrons, for your votes and your support, and I look forward to unveiling some secrets in the weeks ahead! 👀
Never gonna know them, but shoutout to the healthcare workers who are breaking the law to help their patients get life-saving care. I'll never see an article about you because knowing you would risk everything including jail time. Nurses who lie on medical records so their patients can get abortions. Doctors making up shit so their patients can have HRT.
Wherever you are, you are keeping your promise to help your patient.
My mom is dead so she can’t get in trouble for this.
Many years ago when she was still healthy enough to work, she was the manager at one of those select-your-own-tests labs. They didn’t take insurance, which meant they had no insurance department, which meant it was actually cheaper sometimes than even getting the same test elsewhere WITH insurance, so her clientele often came in with doctor’s orders, and it is about one such patient I’m about to tell you. He was four years old and had leukemia.
At 3am the day my mom did his labs, she got a stat call. “Stat call” means “drop everything, contact the doctor, these numbers are outside the acceptable range and urgency is required.” She woke me to drive her to the lab so she could try to get in touch with the doctor on the way and say “I live five minutes from the lab I want you on the phone as soon as I get those numbers from my email.”
The doctor did not pick up.
Standard protocol at this point is to wait 20 minutes and call again, repeat until you get an answer.
My mom was not allowed to interpret lab numbers. She didn’t have the official credentials. But she was a medical assistant and had self-taught a lot of medicine to make herself a better MA (call it unofficial continuing education), and she took one look at this little boy’s numbers, and she had to make a judgement call. That call ended up being “Mrs. X, this is Catie from [lab name]. I received a stat call for your son and can’t reach the doctor. I’m not legally allowed to interpret these numbers for you. But pick an ER, I will call them and send the numbers and have them waiting for you. Go NOW. Don’t wait. I cannot stress enough how urgent it is that you GO RIGHT NOW.”
Had she chosen law over life, that little boy would have been dead by morning.
Instead she risked years in prison and being stripped of her license to practice. She got cupcakes and a thank-you card instead. As far as I know, the boy went on to make a full recovery.
When I think of my mom, this is what I want her to be remembered for. Nobody could ever know while she was alive. I want everyone to know now.
(And if you’re a 14-year-old on this website in 2023, and this sounds eerily corroborative to a story your mom has told you, and you grew up in Arizona, hi. My mom would love to meet you if she was still alive. But in her absence, will you tell me how you’re doing? I’ll tell her the next time I get up to her grave. She’d like to know.)
Professor X: what’s your super power?
Me: hindsight
Professor X: that’s not going to help us
Me: yes I see that now
Hey Jeff, that’s an absolute spectacular joke
Group of friends who are close because they all have the same superpower except no they don't.
As in, they all think the other ones have the same superpower as them, but, in fact, they do not.
For example:
Time traveler who always is running into these other people who seem to know what's going on or what will happen and is so happy he can finally share his travel stories.
Precognitive who is relieved he isn't the only one with the gift and who is glad to get help averting future disasters.
Mind reader with a horrible memory who tries to stay on top of things by skimming surface thoughts. You want to talk about next week's election results and how they changed the next decade? She's with you.
Totally normal guy who thinks the others have the absolute best bit ever and loves playing along.
They save the world at least twice without a single clue shared between the four of them.
SNOOP DOGG goes off-script in a conversation with Larry Jackson, formerly of Apple Music and current Co-Founder and CEO of Gamma, moderated by Shirley Halperin, Executive Editor of Variety Magazine at The Milken Institute. (May 3, 2023)
i like crossovers but i really like the idea of dc and marvel being fictional in eachothers worlds like the teen titans are gonna go see the avengers at the movies tomorrow on their day out and then beast boys gonna do his best hulk impression all day meanwhile a universe over the young avengers are passing around the lastest batman issue and arguing about who could take batman in a fight
i love this too it is my Headcanon
I still like the idea that Peter Parker got the idea to be a news photographer from Superman comics, while Clark Kent got the idea to be a reporter from Spider-Man comics
