Here’s the “Mortal Coil” variant colorway. I just did a blog post with full info about this and the other gear I’ll have for sale this weekend at @mondocon.

Or, if you’re one of the cool kids, you’ve already received all the info via my email newsletter. To sign up and/or see the post with all the info, head on over to www.ncwinters.com. Love you all! 👍🏼 #mondocon

Rewarded myself with a Good Omens tattoo since I ran all three half marathons I signed up for this year and actually improved my time. Almost went with a Vivaldi’s Four Seasons Best of Queen cassette, but ineffable won out (I might still get that cassette tattoo one of these days…)

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) dir. Wes Craven

I’ve always loved scenes with excessive blood use (not body horror). But like, this and the elevator scene from The Shining or the blood rain in Evil Dead reboot.

Better to wear the undead than be eaten by them! Jewelry designer Isabell Kiefhaber makes spooktastic resin rings that will add a stylish touch of Halloween flair to any outfit. One looks like a trio of sinister black zombie hands rising out of the ground into the fog. The other is a jack-o’lantern beside a dead tree with a lone crow perched ominously on its branches.

Both of these rings (and many more) are available via Kiefhaber’s Etsy shop Geschmeide Unter Teck.

I’m working on a new poster for a live orchestral screening of The Evil Dead! It’s on October 25th in Los Angeles at the Ace Theatre, and there are still some tickets available! Here is my rough mock up to work on my drawing from. I took a photo of Sean posing and then screen grabbed a good angle of Ash’s face from the film. I assembled the frame from little pieces of clip art from pattern books in my library. #wip #posterart #theevildead #wordlessmusic

“’Star Trek’ fans totally accepted my sexual orientation. There are a great number of LGBT people across ‘Star Trek’ fandom. The show always appealed to people that were different - the geeks and the nerds, and the people who felt they were not quite a part of society, sometimes because they may have been gay or lesbian.”

Progression. Sakura micron pen and water on Arches watercolor paper. For those curious, yes the fine liner micron pens were also used for the washes, along with a water brush. I do everything…the hard way. #inkturbo
