Hello, Friends!

My name is Seraphina. I’m a queer, chronically ill adult who talks about a lot of seemingly random shit. Feel free to follow me (or not-I don’t mind!) or even say hello, but be aware that I occasionally post things of an adult nature, including human and veterinary medicine, history, neurodiversity, queer representation, fandom, and sex. I swear a lot, too. Sorry, not sorry.

I’m multi-fandom as hell, and bounce around like a ping pong ball at a frat party. My primary fandom are Sandman, The Vampire Chronicles, Supernatural, Witcher, Teen Wolf, Sailor Moon, Lord of the Rings, Disney, Hunger Games, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire.

I’ve got a few dozen OCs, and fan-characters that I’ve stuck over on Toyhouse. I’m also working on cleaning up my deviantART account. Or you can poke me on discord. ❤

Here is our Crowley! So, you can figure he is our merman... He's also 35, and he's part of the Revenge crew! But how did he get there? Why did he stay? Why does he have all those scars? Well, you'll know that in a few chapters...

We won't see him as a merman in a while, in the story, sooooo... I'll show him to you tomorrow... (yes, since the story is still a WIP, I'll probably spoil you some moments of the fanfic for mermay... I'll try to do it as less as possible!)

And now, the beginning of the story is available in french!

and it's always available in English!

Kent State University

“The Kent State shootings (also known as the May 4 massacre or the Kent State massacre)[3][4][5] were the shootings on May 4, 1970 of unarmed college students by members of the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio during a mass protest against the bombing of Cambodia by United States military forces. Twenty-eight guardsmen fired approximately 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis.[6][7]

“There was a significant national response to the shootings: hundreds of universities, colleges, and high schools closed throughout the United States due to a student strike of 4 million students,[10] and the event further affected public opinion, at an already socially contentious time, over the role of the United States in the Vietnam War.[11]

Student strike of 4 million students! Let’s do that again lol

Don’t forget that basically half the country thought the students deserved it…

Another picture from Kent State.

But it was not just Kent State, eleven days later Mississippi Police fired 150 rounds into a dormitory at Jackson State College, killing 2 and wounding 15 black protesters.

Btw half of the students killed at Kent State weren’t even protesting, they were just there

What in the absolute fuck

When the Irish guy has known about this since he was like 8, but it’s suspiciously hard for Americans to learn about…

Some of the most famous musicians in the country wrote songs about it, and it’s still obscure.

My great uncle was going to school at Kent State when this happened. He told me that he woke up to a tank outside his dorm and called his parents to take him home. He also knew one of the people who was killed.

It’s not really something you forget if you’re from that area in Ohio. My high school had band camp at the Kent State campus and we would walk by the memorial showing where the students were murdered everyday. We even practiced on the field where the shooting took place one year.

The fact that this is not taught to everyone in school is vile and shows just how badly our government does not want us to remember that they murdered their own citizens while participating in something that is a human right.

Tomorrow is my last day of class for spring semester, and I have exactly one class.

We're supposed to be doing a role play based on the Waco siege. I... honestly have so many thoughts, and very few of them are good. I get what the instructors are aiming for, but it still makes me feel icky AF.

Maybe because my assigned role is that of a child in the cult.

So much ick.

I died. I’m officially a martyr.

was talking to my gf about my fear of dying young for being trans and my mom putting my deadname on my gravestone, and she said "i hope that never happens, but if it does, i will carve your name into your grave myself if i have to." and i think theres something extremely raw about that sentiment and trans community in general. you can kill only our bodies, but you cant kill transsexuality

Here's hoping you outlive them all, but if you don't, you can still stop them from making a mockery out of your funeral.

Also, little reminder that all the 'trans life expectancy' statistics people keep floating are FALSE. It's all bullshit. All of it.

There are no actual real trans life expectancy statistic out there because to get those you'd need a register where the death of every trans baby and every trans granny is reported. That does not exist. Instead what people share is average ages of trans murder victims. Which is the same age as the average age of cis murder victims. And while it's horrible that transphobic murders happen, the vast majority of trans people do not get murdered. So this does not translate to a lower average life expectancy at all.

Trans suicide rates, while still high, also aren't high enough to dramatically reduce trans life expectancy.

Trans people are poorer on average. That will result in poorer quality of life and lower life expectancy. But we're talking about averages of maybe 5 years lower than the average person in the same country. Which is an injustice but it say very little about you and when you will die. It certainly doesn't mean you're going to die young.

Statistically, you are going to grow old. You are going to become a grey wrinkled trans elder in a rocking chair. Please know this. Don't walk through life as if you don't have a future.

also lipstick is very hard to clean off of many gravestone materials. in case anyone needs to know that for any reason. :)

That's it. That's the dream. I'm almost mad that that's the dream.

That's half the dream. The other half is being fairie fucking godmother to everyone on the planet.

See, I had 100k for a hot minute. Doesn't matter why. But for nearly a calendar year, I picked up the tab every chance I got, i lavished people with gifts, I took a friend to Greece, I paid for healthcare for myself and a few other people, for lawyers to help someone get out of an abusive marriage, Christmas presents for a single mom of 3.

It felt incredible. Just to take away the worry and say, "I've got you." Instacart groceries to a grieving friend of a friend across town. Pay the unexpected car repairs. Gift a young artist a yearlong subscription to Procreate.

That's why I'll never understand billionaires. If you could fix it, if money could actually make even one life better, why would you not do it? Even just for the kick? Hell, i don't care if it feeds your ego. Be Tony Stark, be Superman, idgaf. When you'll never be able to spend all that you have, even if you some up every damn day like it was your job, if you could end world hunger six times over for the price of a social media company, why wouldn't you just DO IT?

I don't have a coherent conclusion to this, except that if I ever meet Jeff Bezos, I'll beat him to death with my bare fists.
